ALAN SI cannot put into words how well Sara Cogwill manages the Petaluma, CA site. Someone rudely broke my transaction and was extremely rude to her. She was unable to fill his request at that location. He kept up repeating his request. She was so calm and pleasant when repeating her answer that I congratulated her on her cool. Sara is always accommodating, pleasant, helpful and professional. I rent twice a year and have gone in to buy boxes and she is always the same calm self. Pass on to the powers that be that she should be the best manager in all the UHaul offices and deserves a large pay raise. Audrey Waters-O'Mohundro

JAIME SMy appointment was for 9:00 am and when I arrived, there was nobody in the office. They didn't open until 9:30 am. I guess they weren't informed about the early appointment time.
John CThe app experience was definitely sub-par. The location I rented from also happened to have bad cell service, along with spotty Wifi, and so it was pretty much impossible to upload pictures of the vehicles condition. After walking back and forth, trying to get better service to upload pics, I just gave up after ~15 minutes, figuring I'd just upload the pictures when I got back to my house. Even then, the app wouldn't allow me to upload pictures, even with better service/Wifi, which tells me the app was the main issue. Because I purchased insurance, I just gave up completely on uploading photos.

JOHN CThe location manager for our truck drop off (NBSS in Petaluma) was an excellent operator. We were 3 hrs late but since I took the time to fill up the U-Haul with gas he didn't charge late fee(s)! Very cool. Great guy to do bus with.

Linda MI came on a Sunday and tried your self check out using my phone on your website. There was no signal and no WiFi. It took at least half an hour to complete the process which cut into my rental time. The check-in process online was not straightforward. Due to lack of connectivity (I assume) I kept getting error messages. The whole process was extremely frustrating and I will never do it again. Ease of use of the website is another issue (awful) but has nothing to do with this rental location.

SHARON KI am a long time UHaul customer and this rental was the first time I ever had an issue but the issue was not with the location of pick up or return. My issue was with the uhaul quote system. I created a quote and saved it in the system as promoted to do. I did not finalize because there was some question about my date of travel. Nowhere did I read or have any reason to believe that the quote would not be honored. Quoted $735 for a one way truck to Oregon. Got my dates figured out and signed into my quite several days later and it was gone. I got in touch with an agent who did nothing to help me but who quoted the exact same trip at almost 3 times the cost of the initial quite. I was then transfered to a scheduling specialist. She was happy to help but the confirmations I received were to pick up at three locations. The first two closest did not have a truck available and the one that did was 69 miles from my home. Was very disappointed with this rental!

JOHN RLazy dude working for you, did not put in furniture dolly I orderd and delayed my move out. Also some packing blankets we're really dirty. Also employees at this location did not explain to me I would be receiving a text notification where I could upload photos showing intial condition of rental to U Haul. I had some intial questions about operation of dash instruments in cab and instead of just going outside and showing it to me they tried to verbalize it instead of just demonstrate. It's only a few steps outside to truck guys. Overall workers there seemed very uncaring, nonchalant. Location was convienant but would look to another location next time I need U Haul. Just don't seem to care if they do business with you or not.
JESSE CWas not open when we dropped it off and the instructions in the U-Haul app were very confusing. We didn't know we should have taken pictures of the odometer until after keys were in the dropbox. Then more than 24 hours after we dropped off the truck we got messages from U-Haul asking when we were going to return it. We also hired help through U-Haul for the loading and unloading and it was a literal nightmare and they caused a great deal of damage and we were overcharged. Trying to reach them has been impossible and very frustrating so no resolution
