First off, order was changed to different location (I had to call to confirm pick up, no reach out to us about change). I had this rental reserved for 1 month and changed 6:00pm the night before a large move for my family. Then when we arrived to the location above, no uhaul worker, could not reach anyone, once a able to talk to someone on the phone, worker said I lied and that there was no uhaul truck at that facility even though I was staring right at it. Then gave me a lock box code to get key for truck and ended call. Very horrible and will never use for service again.
Amber SI rented 2 dollys for a few hours. The bill should have been $14 plus tax. I was billed for 3 days of usage $44.58. I have documents proving I returned the dolly's. I have left messages on the phone number and no one has returned my call. Sondra 813-944-9595

Brandon GPlease note that the below average overall experience was a negative one, but this was not due to the 110 E Columbus Dr location which was positive. My issue was with the 509 W Columbus Dr location. I booked a van at this location only to find that they did not have the vehicle that I booked. Then to add insult to injury I was told that I would need to call U-Haul to resolve and sort out where to obtain from another location. This I feel is poor customer service if this is normal steps to resolve an issue caused by U-Haul, surely the person representing should be the one calling to resolve. I was told to go to the 110 E Columbus location which was overall positive.
Stephen GRosa is in charge of this location. I was able to call her and explain that I was running a little late and she was completely understandable about the situation. She then proceeded to answer any and all questions we had, and even backed up the 15 foot box truck to hook up the trailer. She walked us through on how the vehicle trailer worked, how to properly use the straps and chains. The experience with her was outstanding and I would gladly work with her again.
Kavanagh BI was overcharged. Received the car on E, it smelt like weed. There was no associate there to meet me when I got the car, no associate there when I dropped off the car. Then they tried to blame me for not bringing the car on full. I had to remind her that I took a video of everything when I first got the car because I couldn't believe the magnitude of how much my life was at risk because of the tire pressure and the maintenance needed to be done on the car. It was on when I got it. The lady didn't want to acknowledge it and she ignored me and got mad when I , tried to confirm that I wasn't going to be charged for. She charged me a dollar per mile instead of $.86 per mile. I will be getting a refund.

Marlet MThe truck was very tightly parked with other trucks. Which could have been fine but someone parked in front of the moving trucks in a way that blocked the truck that I rented. Thus I was unable to get out of the parking spot. We had to go around to the various business to find the owner and have them move their parked vehicle.

Devin OI plan on contacting uhaul corporate next week but overall the experience was unsatisfactory. I adjusted the pick up time of my rental nearly two hours so I could just do the counter check in as I've found the self directed check in to be a little clunky in the past. When I arrived at 9:15am the location wasn't open. Eventually I made my way into the barber shop at the plaza and found a number to call. When I contacted "Rosie" I expressed my disappointment about no one being at the location to check me in to which she immediately snapped that I should read better. Given this initial response I didn't bother engaging as I knew the conversation would go nowhere and I needed the rental 30 mins ago. I had rented a dolly and was told that the gas was at 3/8 of a tank. When I finally was able to get the key out of the lock box there was no dolly and less than a quarter of a tank. Based on my previous conversation I didn't follow up with the owner as i assumed it would somehow be my fault. I would never rent from this location again and I also think uhaul needs to be a little more judicial when allowing for these franchises. I do understand the desire to have a hands off business that makes good money but from a customer service perspective this could be pretty high touch. However during this and other interactions I've had with these franchisees I felt there was an expectation that I somehow worked for them. So all my consistent experience has revolved around low effort and close to zero customer service. Again I'll be contacted corporate about this specific interaction.

Kevin WIt was easy to find. I met the representative in the parking lot. She commented that I was early. That means she was expecting me and that is a big plus. She was able to handle the vehicle return with her handheld device. I was on my way in minutes. She was friendly and very professional. Would definitely use this rental location again.
james aIf Sketchy owned a corner, it would be this place. I'll make this short. The truck was not clean. I was in fear when I drove it. I did not make it to my destination and had to get a hotel to dump my belongings. The headlights were very dim and the steering was all over the place. Damaging some of my cargo. Truck smelled off old motor oil, burning. Just was not good.

Miguel MThe facility had been burglarized and equipment stolen. The truck i rented had an empty tank, there was an exhaust leak that caused the truck to misfire and could barely produce enough power to get up the onramp to the highway with nothing in the truck. The entire truck shook violently at speed and was unsafe. It had to have been in an accident to be that out of balance. I called the uhaul dealer immediately to report the issue and the lady on the other end gave me a terrible attitude and tried to blame me for the issue saying she just drove it an hour ago, which clearly was a lie since I could see the truck had not moved recently and the engine was cold. She also stated that she had not been to site since the burglary and was not supposed to rent any vehicles. I she then said she would refund the truck since I was unable to use it, then charged me anyway. I need to speak with someone about resolving this.

Jennifer TNo one met me to pick up trailer. She was very available by phone and text however. What was frustrating was I returned it early and when she met me on turn in she didn't seem to care. I had to reach out to UHaul
David DThe location is confusing, you are directed to a barber shop where you then have to call a number and the woman will tell you how to get to the lot over the phone. She did explain the directions to the lot well and it was easy to find with her on the phone, however the trailer was not pulled out when we arrived so she was trying to explain which trailer it was and when I told her there was no trailer where she was telling me to go, she got extremely rude over the phone and frustrated with me. Finally she told us to pick any trailer and tell her the number in which I did, when we got it pulled out, the trailer was in rough shape and it appeared the person before us had left items behind in it or maybe a homeless person was staying in it as there were dirty blankets and a pillow left behind in it. When I received the receipt for the rental, I noticed she charged me for insurance when I asked her not to, so I messaged her asking for a refund and was told she would work on it. 2 days later still had nothing so I messaged again and received no reply so I had to contact U-Haul directly and they were extremely helpful and I received my refund the next morning.
Griffin HSite administrator never met me to release rental or sign it back in. Upon return of equipment the administrator purposely waited several hours after I returned my equipment to complete the return causing my rental to extend for another day and charging me unnecessary money. I'm sure she has to do this a lot and people don't know they're getting ripped off by this lazy con artist. She should have the rights to rent U-Haul stripped away.

Matthew Hthe worker was not present at the pickup site. she was occupied while trying to help me at the same time. Her tone was aggressive and frustrated. Overall, this location is utterly unprofessional and frustrating to deal with.
Khoi AThe person helping us, Rosa, was unprofessional and on her phone the entire time while assisting us. There was a lock left on the first trailer from the previous customer so I was unable to rent the first one and had to drive to a different lot to hook up a different trailer by myself with no help. I turned the trailer back in on time and Rosa had not checked my trailer back in or confirmed that I returned it that night, so Uhaul had messaged me for two days after that saying that I had an overdue contract even though I had turned it in early.
Leila TThe issues I had were not with the location. Rosa is delightful and working hard. The issues I had were: 1) the air conditioning on the truck did not work, and 2) I felt very annoyed with the virtual rental process. It was like a quest where everything seemed like a surprise. Because I have an out of state drivers license now I had to provide numbers for someone to call (who? Why? What's the purpose? You knew this when I made the reservation). Finding the key and figuring out how to unlock the magical lockbox was annoying. Thankfully I'm tall and I could reach the box and see the code. Smaller people will struggle.).

She also did not go over anything related to cost: she didn't ask if I wanted insurance, show me a price breakdown, or go over the total charges. I signed the contract thinking I would be charged for what I reserved, only to get home and realize $110 extra dollars were pending on my credit card. I then had to call customer service, which took out time from me packing, to get this looked into when it could have been avoided if she were more organized and not rushing.

I was told everything I was doing was wrong and furthermore that she didn't have time to deal with me. Horrible experience.
Ryan SThe rental van had a missing driver side mirror, the driver side door did not close fully, and the rental agent failed to include furniture pads which were previously purchased. Additionally, I was charged a fuel surcharge of 9 gallons even though I returned the vehicle with half a tank of gas (exactly as picked up) which I now have to dispute. I will never rent from this location again.

bryan mPick up and drop off were done by telephone, no one on site. Lot was full of equipment. Truck we were assigned was dirty, she said they told her it was clean but was not inspected. We asked for a dolly, not in truck. We had to go to other trucks until we found one. We were asked for an estimate of miles and time. We guessed 50 miles and 6 hours and when we commented on how many trucks were there she said Uhaul has overloaded her. Returned truck about 8 hours later, we guessed wrong. We were then charged 2 days rental for truck and dolly. She would not change the charges claiming she could have rented it out even though there were many more trucks available. Do not rent there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then was charged $1300 + on one with with an additional $192 charge then over $700 charged on another credit card!! No compensation was made for me I wasn’t given what I reserved had to leave over $1,000 worth of items behind had to spend an extra $500 on a driver and drive him back to Tampa!! Terrible!!

She was not there, was frustrated with me for calling her, kept insisting i wasn't doing the letter combination locks right. The area was extremely sketchy with vagrants walking past, I wasn't sure if id be making it home both times I went over to the location.

Abid AI was overcharged for my equipment. The lock box didn't have the correct key to my equipment rental. I had to wait until the merchant got there to open her store in order to get the correct key. I was already inconvenienced by having to drive an additional hour to get the equipment. Horrible experience....
