Excellent service and the truck was in tip top shape. No improvements needed. I would definitely rent again if needed too.

AKIMIYA MThis location is always on point. We have a corporate account with uhaul so we rent about 15 vans and trucks a months. The manager there always makes sure the trucks are ready for my staff when they pick up. This is the only location where it's smooth sailing. And this last rental, he made sure my guys got a brand new Ford Cargo Van with any 600 miles on it. I totally we could pick up all of our trucks from this location. All really works hard and knows this industry inside and out. It's always a pleasure working with this branch. Thanks Al. The holiday season is approaching rapidly and were going to need more vans, so we'll be in touch very soon. Thank you sir. You're the best.
Melvin FAbsolutely the best service I've ever received. The agent Al was so warm, patience and attentive. He made sure that my girls and I were safe and g m even helped me save a lot of money by showing me how to enter multiple address in the GPS to get an more accurate or realistic mileage estimate. Al went way above and beyond. Even stayed late to make sure we got a truck. Very very client centric. Thank you Al.
Kimberly WWhen I got to the receptionist the receptionist was not informed of the pick up time correctly, I had a scheduled pick up time of 0900 am and he was showing on his computer 1100 am. He was able to help me and resolve the problem right away but I was frustrated of the lack of communication.
Luis CI'm tired of getting a different location every time I rent from U-Haul. Last time I rented you didn't have the equipment when I went to pick it up. And that was a one way booked a week in advance.

FELICIA BDon't know what happen to the Manager Al or Allen but this place sucks now. I only rented here because of my experience the last time I rented a uhaul with that nice guy. But I will not ever come back. The truck was dirty. The gas tank was empty. And they make you add extra for some cheap discount. And the new people there don't know what customer service is. I was over charge for miles and no body did anything to help me. I will not return to this place again. Pick a different Uhaul place and stay far away from here. The service here sucks bad. Good luck trying to find the old Manager that ran this company its all trash now. Very dirty nasty trucks and no body will help you. No papers for your records either. And the people here wants you to do everything on your own. Like down load the app. Down load your ID and credit card and they make you take pictures of every thing and they charge you crazy prices and dont tell you why. Sorry but not coming back here again.
OMAR DWe were very disappointed. The young man behind the counter was not very knowledgeable about the process. He pointed out the rental, went and got the dolley and left. The paperwork that went with the rental didn't match. It had less gas than quoted and he didn't walk around to check for dents. The rental's air conditioning did not work. Upon returning the rental, we were told that their computer system was down, they would send us a receipt when the system came back up. We received that receipt and they had doubled the safe move insurance plus doubling the cost of renting the dolley. We are not happy at all, since our family rents U-Haul at least 2 times a year to move our students back and forth between home and the dorms.

Michael ALet the customer know that this location is a towing facility and the hours are different from the actual U-Haul hours. Also, having a knowledgeable customer service rep that works for U-Haul and not the towing company.

David BQuite the operation they've got going on down here. Uhaul and towing. If there was one thing I'd recommend, it would be having a separate window for Uhaul customers only. It was a little different having to navigate the queue but once I was assisted, everything went fine. Van was clean and brand new, the young man that assisted me was very helpful. Reouel NSorry for the late review but I've been meaning to do this for awhile now. The guy that helped us is so deserving of this review, at the very little. My husband & I rented here last month, & let me tell you something, THIS PLACE IS TRULY A HIDDEN GEM! We didn't even know this place existed until we scoured the entire area looking for an available Uhaul that Saturday morning. Hillside SOLD OUT, Newark SOLD OUT, Orange SOLD OUT! EVEN THE BIG UHAUL STORES, ALL...SOLD...OUT! (It was a Saturday & the end of the month.) We looked online for a truck but no one had any & when we tried to make a reservation, the system kept telling us that due to equipment availability someone from Uhaul will call us. We didn't get that call. We even tryed Budget & Penske, & they didn't have nothing either. But as we were looking online we saw this place & it was close by to where we were at the time. We honestly didn't expect them to have anything but it was more of the fact that we never knew that there was a UHAUL on Chancellor Ave. At first we couldn't find the place because we were looking for like a big UHAUL Storefront Sign, a truck or something & kept passing it. Anyway once we found it we popped in real quick just to check. I can't remember the guys name but he had very long hair with braids & said he was the manager. He was super cool too. This dude searched EVERYWHERE for us, for any & everything he could find. He found one place that had a 10in or 10feet or something along those lines, made us a reservation & physically called them to make sure it was actually there before we left. We had asked him if anything was coming back & he said some are supposed to come but he couldn't really rely on it or if they'll be on time. Cause we was willing to wait for the first thing smoking at that point. Lol! But what was important was the fact that he was honest, wasn't in it for the money by holding us there hoping someone came back just to make the sale or give us the run around wasting our precious time. To me that showed integrity, how he sets his priorities straight. "Focus on the Customer". He was willing to send us to a place that had a little truck rather than making us wait & stringing us along, as the time grew later & later. Once we had a guaranteed reservation, we left. I can't stress enough how grateful we were that we first of all met this guy & soooo glad that he made that reservation for us. Because not even 5/10 minutes he called my phone asking how far did we get. We were literally about 4 maybe 5 blocks away when he said have a truck for you. It was an easy decision & we decided to turn around & rent the Uhaul from him instead. BEST DECISION EVER! By the time we got back there, he had already got the truck ready, swept out the back, washed the windows & this GUY EVEN WIPED DOWN THE ENTIRE FRONT PART OF THE TRUCK WHERE YOU SIT, WITH LYSOL WIPES! WHEN I SAY HE CLEANED THAT TRUCK, HE LEGIT DID JUST THAT. CLEANED THE HELL OUT OF IT TOO! SPOTLESS! So many people use these trucks that we don't ever be thinking about the dirty germs they spread. That was the icing of the cake for me. He was so patient with me & my husband while we transferred money over to our debit, right before closing time. If that wasn't enough, he printed our paperwork out and marked everything with a marker to kinda make sure we knew & understood everything on it before we left. He even helped & walked us thru the damage checklist part also. He got that "RIZZ", great communication skills, awesome sense of humor, patience of a Saint, a great personality, while being thorough & transparent, THE WHOLE TIME! I've moved a lot as an adult over the years & I can promise you or any body that I've never had service like this before. That's facts! And of all places, it was from a uhaul moving truck rental place. You would've thought I was buying the truck, his customer service was that good. Even when we returned the truck, his employees were just as nice. I see why you guys over at Uhaul Corporate made him a General Manager. He should train the other stores on how to give this type of customer service cause of all the places we call or went to, were all grumpy or gave us the impression that we should've known they didn't have anything available or like they didn't want to be bothered since they're SOLD OUT! Like, what? For real? Laat but not least, I'm will not apologize for this crazy long review because this guy deserves it & more. We're so quick to call Customer Service or leave a bad review online when something negative happens. But when you have everything go right & the person went above & beyond, some of us don't say nothing. This is also my first review too. So this was important to me that I shared my outstanding experience with everybody with the hopes that his boss see the good job he's doing. Without a doubt, he felt deserves this full & complete review. So what if no one else reads it this far, just know if you did, then you'll know what you're working with when you come to this Chancellor Ave Uhaul Store. I really wish I remembered his name instead of calling him this guy, this dude or the man. That I will apologize for. So if you're reading this, I'm so sorry Mr. Uhaul Manager for forgetting your name. Thank you to you for your dedication & hard work & thank you to your staff. They totally mirror your work ethics. Sincerely from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for making our least second move possible. And my apologies for taking so long to do this review. I can attest that all of this location reviews accurately depicts the level of service one can expect from this uhaul store. I think that Uhaul made the right decision when they assigned Al to the opening of this new location. Al is customer centric, demonstrate that he understands exactly what customer service is and executes it flawlessly. Finally Uhaul got it right. The future of this location is in great hands under his leadership. Thank you brother for the great service.
ALI KI will make this enquiry for my sister. The wonderful gentleman whom help us is a very nice people. I come with my sister because I thought it is going to be so hard to talking and understand. But the kind man al is nice he help me family and no fast fast go go. He even speak our language and that was appreciation. We like al and he will help every body no problem. Please tell U-Hul about al the very nice man. He give us a nicely new truck and always happy and smile. Thank God for al. Very good and nice. Me will forget this never and me and my sister coming back soon again.
Rosemonde CI absolutely love this new Uhaul location. It's not only extremely convenient right of I-78 and near the GSP, but the service here is TOP NOTCH! I have never had service like this before. The General Manager is beyond accommodation, very easy to work with and is a very very nice young man. I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service and the Cleanliness of my Uhaul truck. More importantly, I could tell that it was recently cleaned. This isn't my first time renting from this new location and I can 100% promise you that it wouldn't be my last either. Mr. Al was incredibly kind, very genuine and very passionate about Customer Service. If you're ever in need of a cargo van, small or medium box truck, make sure you select this location as your pick up spot. I've only ever made a reservation online once. Why, because when I call Mr. AL, he always ALWAYS ALWAYS works his magic and get me into a truck, same day too. Great guy, great place, and clean Uhaul's.
