As you could tell the rats were very bad in my unit#14 when I first moved in there was a opening in the back top I asked several times to close up the opening but several months went by till this was taken care of the smell was so bad till I took out 3 dead rats till I could get the rest of my things out, I even mentioned this opening the day we took a walk through, my items I had in storage smells like dead rats and items torn and eaten holes in the item. Quality of the truck was awful. Check engine light and tire pressure light were on when received. Severe body damage to the exterior of the truck. Interior has cigarette burns and stains, smelled terribly of smoke.

I thought I could get all of the loading and unloading completed in the shorter time. When I called to see if the truck could be reserved for the extra hour, I was told the cost would go up to three quarters of what I paid for the 3 hour slot. Thankfully, when I looked at what extra was actually charge to my cc it was only about $20 extra. Just curious why the Uhaul rep on the phone tried to gouge the price per hour up so much when all I needed was an extra hour. I will recommend the 4 hour slot to others.

I turned the unit back in at 9:30 am but was charged an additional day. Now, the manager won't return my call. 2) the unit was clean. However, the oil light came on 10 miles into my move. It was 2 quarts low. I filled the oil immediately.

Mark F. | Overall ExperienceI used the self-checkout feature of the U-Haul app. After going through the process I picked up the unit. I noted that the lower set of rear lights failed to work and took a photo of the unit number. I needed to pick it up earlier than the 10am opening of this franchise. At 9:37am I got a call from there with a threat that he was calling the police and report the trailer as stolen. I told him what I did and was told that it was a reservation only, there was no payment, and he was still calling the police. I told him that I made the reservation by phone and I gave my ID and credit card info when I did the self-check. I even offered to return it. He then said he'd check something, came back a moment later and asked for the phone number and name of another adult. After giving that he said that he "fixed" it and that I was good to go. He was extremely rude to me. He could have called to confirm that I had it and not accuse me of theft right away! I think he didn't check the U-Haul system until he put me on hold, then found that I did indeed pay for it yet he never apologized to me. I checked with the U-Haul center I returned it to and he said that unfortunately it happens too often with non-corporate centers.

We had trouble with check-in on mobile, and after thirty minutes called the store. We told them we were standing right outside and they said 'please come in -- not sure why we have that sign up anymore.' Which was confusing and cost us quite a bit of time. After we returned our rental, we were charged for Insurance even though we denied it at every turn.

The thing died in my bedding and all of the bedding was ruined including the down pillows. I ha:e rented outside storage 3 other times and did not have any rodent issues elsewhere. I have moved to indoor storage now.

It took two phone calls to get directions from the office to the storage units. Furthermore, when I called to report moving out of the unit, a note was made but I was not removed from the system and I received an invoice charging me for another month's rental.

I ended up having to get a third phone for the pick up. I then had to spend almost 40 minutes trying the app with 2 different phones for return. We had to finally give up on the app and use the website which finally worked. Very frustrating!
