Good people. I reserved as a pick up with counter service but it turns out it had to be the remote/online pick up. However I called their phone# and he called me right back to assist me from the beginning to the end of the check in and get the key. Check in process is pretty smooth. I had issue with the lock box but then he came to help (he showed up in 5 mins!) and opened the lock box for me. I wasn't doing it correctly though... when I returned I just had to put the key back in the lock box and everything done! This is not the first time I rent the U-Haul but they are the best so I don't look further....
Yukako NIts ok for a drop off, back of a warehouse row where there are no attendents and not gated. It is not visible from the road, but made me uneasy about dropping off a trailer with no security..We all know how things go these days. As far as check in, took pics and sent (txt)to number provided as proof of my drop off and was confirmed immeadiately..that part was easy. Overall convenient spot for me as it was 6 miles from my unloading point in glenview, I got an email confirmation very quickly which was settling.very easy return of a 5 x 8 trailer

WELDON BIt was a minimum kind of drop off spot with just a location and no office. But that was fine as a drop off of trailer is pretty easy.
Clayton KI haven’t used Uhaul in a while, but this place was hot garbage. First, we show up and it’s closed. We were able to get in contact with the number on the reservation. The associate, Max Panther, tried to change our reservation. We asked him multiple times that what was on the contract, is what wr wanted. He finally gave up and then said, “I have to go check something”. At that point he hung up on us. Then via text, from a different number, he said we were disconnected and then proceeded to give us the code to get the key for the truck. At no point did anyone come outside (assuming someone was there) to verify any information. It also looks like someone made a poor attempt to sign for me (they just drew a line by my name). This is a pretty poor practice. Will not be using this place again.

David SInside of trailer looked clean at first and was designated as such. Upon inspection, there was gravel and dirt inside and had to be vacuumed out prior to use. Electrical connector was damaged and had to be repaired to make operable. Requested furniture dolly was not available.

Adrian AWe rented a truck and auto transport trailer. We needed the truck for 8 days and the auto transport trailer for only one. Uhaul said they would have to change us upfront for 8 days for both the truck and auto transport trailer because we were using the truck to tow the auto transport trailer. They assured us that any unused days would be refunded upon return (5 days for the auto transport trailer as 3 days come with the rental). They also said we would be able to return the truck and trailer to different locations. The day after we rented the truck and trailer, we returned the auto transport trailer. We were contacted and told that we would need to drop the truck off at the same location or it would not be accepted and that they would not check in the trailer until the truck was returned. We had to go pick up the auto transport trailer and drive it 40 minutes to a different location where the truck was going to be returned. After we returned all of the equipment, Uhaul refused to refund the extra days for the auto transportation trailer as stated when we picked up the equipment and did not care that we were unable to return the items to separate locations as promised. I submitted a claim to Uhaul a couple weeks ago and no one calls me back about my claim. I have to call Uhaul and sit on hold for over an hour to get through just to find out the claim has been closed and no one contacted me like they were supposed to. Definitely would not rent from Uhaul again given the poor customer service. This is a very deceitful and dishonest way to over charge customers for equipment and unused insurance.
Jessica kNo truck was there upon arrival and no one was at the location even though it was during open hours - door was locked. When checking in online, it said to go inside for assistance since a vehicle had not been assigned. Later came to find out the individual never came to return the truck we had rented for that day, but was never notified.
Andrew G1. The return address on your U-HAUL website and app is not correct. Your info says 1712 SOUTH Wolf Rd, Wheeling IL. The actual address is 1712 NORTH Wolf Rd, Wheeling IL. This caused us delay in returning truck because the GPS could not find SOUTH because it does not exist. 2. The drop-off site is a private business that does not have any U-Haul signage visible from the street or in the parking lot. 3. The drop locatin owner or manager, Max, texted us with his phone number. We . , who was very nice and helpful.
Graig GI was scheduled to check in at 7:00am through the mobile app. When I arrived, I didn't see the truck in the front or side and when I was trying to use the mobile app to check in, it was saying that I needed to call Customer Service. I called Customer Service and was transferred back and forth between 3 people with 10-15 minutes waiting period before someone was able to officially help me. Apparently, the person who called the day before to confirm my reservation put in the wrong time to 7:45am so that's why the app wasn't allowing me to check in. However, my reservation was not updated. Please make improvement to the waiting time in Customer Service and the mobile app.
Athena LThis location was given to me because I had to drop it off in the evening. The place was closed due to the time I arrived. The App did not work to be able to leave it per those instructions.

Jathin NWas not very pleased when received a confirmation, and then that confirmation was changed unbeknownst to me until I receive a email. Also was charged $30 for gas when only drove 50 miles !

darina lI returned it after hours and the app was great with the exception of having to switch back and forth from the app to my camera to take pics. If I had a list of pics required I could have done it all at once, vs continuing to go back and forth, sometimes needing to reenter data, because of the switching, or opening up the truck and starting it.

It was a real pleasure working with Max. He made our moving experience affordable and memorable. Max was polite, professional, and a real go-getter. I highly recommend renting UHaul trucks from Max. Peter MThe truck was absolutely bad. There cigarette ash on the dashboard. I couldn't breathe properly in the truck without open the windows in 33F temperatures outside. Nothing wrong with the location but truck needs to be maintained.
Yuvaraj CI showed up at the location where I had made the reservation and was told they didn't have my reserved equipment. The truck was at a location 20 miles away!! WHY MAKE A RESERVATION? absolutely unacceptable! No excuses!

ROMUALD ZMy reservation was originally at Glenview and then I learned Uhaul switched my reservation. I also learned I was lucky to be moved to a location near my house as my friend had to travel far to pick up his van. There was NO warning whatsoever of the possibility that my reservation may be altered. Uhaul needs to make this clearer to the customer!
