Unknown to us, we were mistakenly given(from an out of town dealer) an "in town only" truck for a long distance one way trip. When we attempted to return it to Nelsons, we were told it was a "one way only" and was not supposed to have been rented to us. The gentleman from Nelsons immediately got on the phone to UHaul and asked them how to handle it. UHaul told them that we had to drive it back 200 miles to where we had picked it up. Nelsons hung up and called their UHaul representative, explained the problem clearly and concisely and was told I would be getting a call within 3 days. The call came with in 30 minutes. The issue was quickly and fairly resolved. Kudos to both Nelsons and UHaul.

The shop where I dropped the equipment was great. The problem was the debacle that was getting the equipment. I was made to drive 100 miles one way, in order to pick up the equipment I thought I reserved 3.5 weeks before hand at the place a block from my house. Turns out, according to the rude, not very helpful customer service rep, that when making a reservation it is only a “request” for said equipment. They called me less than 24 hours before my move and gave me a smaller truck and informed me I would be picking up my not big enough truck in one location. And the car hauler in another location. I was told that they were the only places that had the equipment within 75 miles. However, the mileage I would have put on driving around getting this equipment and then back to my home, would have totaled over 250 miles. Not to mention I would have needed to get a ride. After much frustration I asked the customer service rep to please find a location where the 2 were together. Grudgingly she did so. I had to drive 100 miles to pick up the equipment. Then haul my car back as well. Insert extra gas expense here. As if this wasn’t enough, because the truck was too small, I was unable to pack all of my belongings. I now have to go back when I can find time to pick up the rest of my stuff. I should have hired a moving company. I would have saved money and not had the hassle. This was ridiculous to say the least. This is not the way to do business. Absolutely ridiculous. Moving is stressful enough and this was horrible. BEWARE! YOUR RESERVATION IS NOT A RESERVATION!!!!

I used the online check-in to speed up the process, and it went quickly and smoothly. The staff was very helpful in getting me going quickly. The trailer seems very well designed for this purpose, and it was in good condition and towed easily with my car loaded on it.

The people at Nelsons were very helpful, but I live in Sturgeon Bay. I had ordered the trailer in Sturgeon Bay and expected to pick it up in Sturgeon Bay. Unfortunately when I went to pick up the trailer in Sturgeon Bay, I was told I had to drive to Ephram 30 miles away to pick it up. So I spent an hour and a half and 60 additional miles of driving to pick up the trailer and return to Sturgeon bay, So for the next customer have the trailer where they expect to pick it up or tell them in advance of the pick up location. There is another U-Haul location 5 miles from my house! I am not getting paid to move your trailers around.

Receiving a call from some random U-Haul person wanting us to pick up said trailer in Sturgeon Bay-70 out of the way round trip to do so. She was very aggressive on the phone and would not take no for an answer. I finally hung up on her. YOur computer update is worthless since it took the employee 20-30 minutes to check us in!

Drop off was a breeze. Pleasant representative completed my return in a couple of minutes and emailed me a complete, correct receipt a few minutes after that. Could not have been any easier or better, from a customer's standpoint.

Despite making arrangements weeks in advance there was more than a ONE HOUR DELAY in obtaining the truck due to U-Haul's computer problems! This delayed our move and was very disruptive.

I was forced to drive 2.5 hours to pick up a trailer because your reservation system doesn't guarantee a reservation location. This is the worst process I have ever encountered. I will use Uhaul as a LAST resort only! You made a stressful situation even worse!

The first vehicle we rented was dirty inside, in the cab, and the ramp was full of sand and rocks. Also there was water all across the attic. I returned that vehicle and exchanged it easily for a different truck which was clean and ran great all the way to the final destination.

The pickup location was just great. The U-Haul software however seemed to not accept my Wisconsin Drivers License as a local so it needed more info. I live in Wisconsin and the trailer was only used in Wisconsin, so I think a look at how that DL decision on additional info is made. Other than that, everything was great.

I requested a pick up in sturgeon bay wi but had to drive 35 miles. Because that location didn't have a 26' truck. With a 2 weeks notice was disappointed it wasn't available at the requested location
