Trailer has not been well maintained. Right rear turn signal was not working. Also trailer did not track well, even at 55, sway was unacceptable. Turned a 17 hour drive into over 24 hours. I have a lot of experience with trailers, so it wasn't loading or driver error.Frank M.

They did not do a truck walk through before or after drop off. Did not verify milage or gas before and didn't want to do it after until I insisted. Did not ever sign any sort of paperwork nor even got any until I asked for it at the end of drop off. Had an issue with the amount of what I was charged and they had no idea so I called customer service and they got it handled for me. I was charged 20.00 extra. Rent Uhauls all the time and this was a bad experience for me.mykel J.

Clean the truck before you give the keys to someone. Be more professional. The U-Haul website let us choose a pickup location in College Station near Texas A&M. However, by email the day before, we were told to pick the truck up at a different location and it would be guaranteed AFTER 11am. There was no indication I might have to pick up a truck in another city or possibly wait until11 when I originally agreed on the rental on your website. You should fully disclose to the renter (me or people like me) that nothing is promised when we agree to pay. Then we could choose another vendor, as I would have done. I resent the last minute changes. To top it off, the message was delivered by email the day before our planned move, and I could have easily missed it. It also said if we canceled the day of the move there would be a $50 charge. What if I hadn't found the email, had gone to the original location, found the truck was somewhere else, or had to pay a $50 charge? If I ever have someone ask me about U-Haul, I'll be sure &d remember to tell this experience. This is an poor business practice which I hope you will change, or I'll never hire a U-Haul except as a last resort!GLENN E.

There wasn't anyone manning this location at the time I dropped the truck off mid-afternoon, so I can't rate this location. I have not received a confirmation that the furniture pads were returned, only the truck. The pads were on a separate ticket since I had to go to another location to pick them up. Naybe I am crazy but I expected them to be ready for me. They could not find reservation. I had to go around back and tromp thru mud to get truck, then load blankets and dolly. I was in a hurry and did not notice gas was less than 3/8 of a tank vs 1/2 marked on the contract.RONALD AND ALL M.

I reserved my truck at a different location than the one above. I selected the location because I had limitations on how and when I could get there, as I was relying on someone else for a ride. The day before the rental, I was contacted and told the truck would not be ready when I needed it. I said that was going to be a problem, so the person I spoke to said he would try to find me a truck and call me back; he never called. Instead, I later received a text message telling me my reservation had moved to a different store, completely on the other end of town. I had no way to get to the new location and could not get there before they closed at 5:00. I contacted the original stores manager and he didn't care; quote "we got you a truck". I explained that I couldn't get to the new store and he said I never told him that. I countered that if you're going to move someone's reservation, you should at least call them to confirm that's an acceptable solution. At that point he blamed it on the transportation department (I think that's what he called them). I was extremely upset at that point and felt like he didn't care about customer issues. I then called the central number and while they were more polite, they essentially said the same thing, they got me a truck, there's nothing else they could, or would do. I ended up having to leave work early, which cost me money, and then take a taxi to get across town to the alternate location, costing me more money. Based on this experience, and the fact that U-Haul's policy apparently doesn't include the common courtesy of contacting the customer prior to making changes to their reservation, I will go out of my way, and pay more if I have to, to avoid using U-Haul for any moving needs in the future.STEVE T.
