We were charge for an extra day and brought it back by 6:00 PM the day we were supposed to return and were late over the hill due to a fatal accident on 431. Also this was a drop off after hours so no one would have gotten the vehicle.Michael F.
My experience with Uhaul was not good this time. I requested a 26' truck near my house. The rental place that I got was 20 miles away. So that is 1.29 a mile extra each way. When I picked the truck up and drove it away, I got on the freeway and it started shaking really bad. I am assuming the truck needs to be warmed up really good. I called the office I picked it up at and they said to call the roadside assistance, but I just brought it back because I literally just picked it up. The good thing is, they had another truck. That one did it too, but not as bad. I submitted my request on January 25th. So almost 2 weeks prior to moving. I don't know how I had a pickup location so far from my house. I don't know if it's so the company can make more money off customers. I know I will be renting another truck to move my sister in the next month or so and I may use a different company. This was really bad this time.Joseph W.
Nothing to improve. Experience was so good with two times so far I've already booked the 3rd and last move. From the employees, the truck, the packing supplies--all with Uhaul is first rate and best price--even your moving helper option has been good. Professional all the way. Thanks.Lori J.

It was bologna that I had to drive to this location which wasn't closer to where we were moving but still had to pay the mileage. Normally in business if we can't produce what we agreed on, normally or not, the business eats the cost not the customer. We had an agreement, you change it you eat the cost. Bad business Don't make agreements you can't keep. If your staffing is low don't make me pay for your faults.Shae R.

I made the reservation to pick the truck up at a different location and was never told the truck was moved until I got to my reserved location. Not a huge deal but it waisted about an hour of my time driving around . Also I had set the reservation to be at 7:30 but when I got the confirmation it changed it to 10:30 which cut into my time for movingTodd W.

My rental was originally set up for Carson City for a 15' truck, day before pick up was directed to get a 20' truck from Reno. 105 Herz Bl location was run by a fantastic couple!!! U-Haul call center is a disaster.Darren S.

The location did not set up my after hours pick up so I had to come back 3 hours later when they opened. The truck was smaller then what was reserved. The location where picked up just stated not our issue we just hand out the keys for UHaul. Lost time with movers and money having to wait and make additional trips.Gina C.

In times of Covid, You would think that the inside cab would be wiped down clean after each use. I used my own Lysol wipes and they were filthy after I finished. I also checked the mileage right after I left and it was off by 9 miles so I paid for 9 miles I didn't use but that was my fault for not noticing it before I left. The truck ran great and everything else was good.Anthony J.

This has nothing to do with the staff at this location. This is how U-Haul (East Bay) canceled my reservation less than 8 hours before the reservation, no phone call, only email at 7 p.m. It took two hours to reserve and pick up at a new truck at 9:30 p.m. and drive all the way from Reno to Danville Ca and back starting at 4 a.m. Otherwise, the truck was clean, and the staff that I returned the truck to was friendly. However, because of this experience, I am not sure I will use U-Haul again.Ronald H.

U haul should stick to there dates and truck size. You changed my location and I had to drive 30 min each way and instead of getting my truck a 7:am I could not pick up until 9:am. That adds another 3 hours onto my day. You also changed my truck to a 20' instead of a 26' truck. I could not get everything in one load. I stopped the next week in Susanville to check on my next truck and they said you changed it also and there was no guaranty that I could get that truck. In fact I probably would no get it. I cancelled and went to Penske and they guarantied the truck for when I needed it. I am done with U HaulClaude S.

I received a truck that was â€œready to goâ€ the inner tire on the left rear of the truck was at zero PSI. It was a miracle it didn't fall off the rim while I was driving it. Thankfully, I stopped to check before departing for the trip. I had to purchase a truck-grade air gauge and 80psi worth of air.Anna G.

Manager said I scratched the truck when I didn't. He also said he was behind me on the freeway and that I was doing 70 mph and I wasn't. Whether he was joking or not it was not right. I would never use this location again and am going to cancel my storage unit with them as welljerry L.

Haul sent me a txt very late Friday notifying me the eq was not at the location I had reserved. It took a long time for a nice lady to find a replacement and my pick up time went from 7 am to 9 am. This caused quite a delay in the move. The eq worked well and we were able to work late Saturday night and complete the move on Saturday.Robert U.

Trailer was old, unclean, and tires were very worn. U hail employee had me do all of the hook-ups because they didn't know how and they went to sit in the office while I did it. Same employee told me I could return the trailer to any U Haul location and I would only be charged for the days I used it. None of this was true. The employee should not be working for U Haul as I took them at their word.Michael H.

Answer: You already did it! My local rental site now has two trucks assigned to its location so I don't have to reserve a truck there and go to some other location to pick the truck up. Your representatives at the Mt. Rose Mini Storage location are the most helpful, nicest U-Haul folk that I have ever dealt with!WILLIAM R.
The manager of the store in south Reno asked me to leave after I became upset after I was informed that they did not honor my reservation and gave my rental to another patron. Please explain to me, what's the point in making a reservation if your going to give it to another person.
