Passenger side mirror was not operational, which made driving very dangerous. The truck is extremely bouncy on the freeway as it has very poor shocks. Tire pressure was low when picked up, making driving unsafe. Overall, did not feel comfortable driving this truck.Kevin M.

My issue is to do with inspecting the vehicle for damages prior to picking the vehicle. I find it illogical that U-Haul would present to the customer as a default that the truck is free of damages, when time after time; such damages are reported by your clients. The link to carry out an inspection suggests that the vehicle is free of any issues and it's up to the customer to challenge it otherwise. From a customer perspective, it's a gross waste time to figure out something that's already established. If I didn't know any better, it appears that U-Hail is deceptive and engaging in a dishonest practice. Moreover, navigating the link on a small mobile phone can be challenging, especially to those who are not skilled with electronics.BYRON W.
Maybe not the fault of dealer, but on line check in process was â€˜horrible' .. web site not user friendly. Ended up having to call customer service to finalize transaction - total time spent 30 minutes... very unacceptable. Won't use again if at all possible. GaryGary N.

I would rate the experience as acceptable, but in need of improvement. 1. Ideally it should be possible to choose a specified rental combination (a-b-c specification trailer plus x-y-z specification truck) and then search for availability at the various locations. Short of scrolling through many pages of listings to see if the combination is available, one must call your phone number to accomp[lish the same in a shorter amount of time. 2. When renting a trailer - truck combination, one may realistically assume the truck in question is equipped with a hitch. Not so! I strongly suggest the that hitch inclusion be made integral to the rental process. I will award you a grade of 'B' due to the care and professionalism of the person on the phone and the person at the location. Otherwise, you would get a 'C-' to 'D+'.Michael B.

When I was putting my reservation down for my truck, car tow, dolly, and blankets the person on the phone told us and confirmed we would only have to pay around $1700 before insurance. When I was getting everything they overcharged us $300 and refused to work with us knowing these calls tend to be recorded and monitored. I am NEVER going to use U Haul again and I intend on telling my very bad experience with friends and family.WILLIAM C.

I reserved an auto transporter a week in advance and requested to pick up at a location near me instead my pick up location was located several city's away. I requested my drop off close to my destination, instead it was clear across town. . Your dispatch center is inconsiderate to the customers needs, as well as the rate quoted was not the rate charged. Originally my trailer was reserved to be picked up in Norwalk on Saturday @ 8:00a.m. On Saturday afternoon (very short notice) I received a recorded phone message that my pick-up location had been changed to Duarty (23 miles from Cerrtios) at 12:00 noon. I am not pleased with change in pick-up time and location.RAYMOND L.
The scheduling service did a poor job and changed my pick up multiple times without warning me of the difference in store hours, resulting in my trip being delayed a day. Customer service at the onsite location was awesome, but the location should make sure to have the tools on hand necessary for adjusting a hitch. Additionally, there was garbage in the back of the trailer (one grocery bag full). Overall I was very disappointed in my U-Haul experience.Isaac S.

I was told mileage was 70 cents per mile and when I looked at my receipt it was 79 cents per mile. I returned the truck in the morning because I didn't want to take it back at night where pictures are not viewable and still within a 24 hour period and was charged two days. I wish instructions were clearer on the checkout process as well.Christopher C.
