The staff at Moose's is consistently great. Knowledgeable and friendly. With all of the snow around the trailer, we did forget to look inside and make sure all was ship shape. Turns out there were some furniture pads left in there from a previous user.

I've use a few locations here in Charlottesville but...I'll pay the extra miles to get to the Moose Lodge locations the people here are sooo very nice....so much better then the RT29 ( PuttPutt & Seminole) locations I've used in the past.

Calvin TThe truck was strangely old? There was no way to look at the rearview and there was no camera at all that could let you peep who was behind you. The windows were still hand-crank only, and each door could only be manually unlocked. Yet, there were both USB-A and -C ports in the truck. Very strange. My only complaint was receiving an appliance dolly instead of the furniture mover we asked for, as we almost didn't have room for the dolly at the end of the move.

KAREN PNot very user friendly. Booked my uhaul online and chose to not have the "safe move" yet the have added it. The vehicle has frost on its windshield wasting around 15 mins to get it defrosted. Not sure what is the point of booking ahead when they aren't prepared.
VINAY KThe expedient was carrying a long private conversation about personal relationships, and I had to wait for 10 minutes even though she knew I was waiting. In the middle of the transaction she got a phone call and I had to wait for it to be completed. She couldn't operate the computer and I had to repeat some of the information to be entered four times. Nobody checks if the lights work before rolling off the lot

DAVID AThough making my reservation with Moose was easy and pleasant, the truck pickup experience was rude and disrespectful by the attendant. The passenger side mirror was dysfunctional. The ordered dolly and moving pads were not in the truck yet I was charged for them.
GRACE CTrailer tie downs were missing. Had a small issue with the wiring harness. Overall it met my needs. And I wouldn't hesitate to use this location again
JOHN EI love the staff at mousses, they let me know that my van was not available and gave me a different truck. The truck, however, smelled like smoke, was really dirty, and the gas was not filled up all of the way.

James WGreat location to pickup/drop off a truck or trailer. The staff is always friendly, courteous and efficient. There is always a good inventory on hand so if you need a truck or trailer on short notice they are going to have one ready. The lot is big, and they keep the equipment spaced well which makes picking up and dropping off easier.

CULLEN HEquipment maintained yes, clean NO. This is the second rental I have done from Moose in the last month. The last one had the front cabin covered in husky dog hair, this rental had the same issue, however it was covered in human and animal hair. I would recommend using a rolling lint brush to handle the hair left by previous renters instead of just a vacuum. You have to take into consideration that there are folks who are highly allergic to animals and this could affect them badly. Otherwise I am perfectly happy with the rentals and rental experience and I will still continue to rent from them when needed.

Alice Tscheduled 26' truck on a Sunday for 11am. The u-haul app wouldn't work for us when we got there. Finally got app to work on another phone and got the truck. Truck wouldn't start. Battery was dead. Called U-Haul for roadside assistance. 90 minutes later roadside assistance showed up and jumped the battery. Was told to drive around for a while to re-charge battery. 2.5 hrs after scheduled pickup we finally left u-haul. Started truck every hr or so to make sure battery held charge. Next day unloaded the truck and had no problems. Third day was return day. Truck won't start. Battery dead again. Call for roadside service, again. 90 minutes later they show up and jump truck. While returning truck "check engine" light comes on. This was a fairly new truck. Only had 11k miles on it. Returned it an hour late. After regional office assured us we wouldn't be charged for being late, I get billed for extra day. WTF! I called and reported and they did say they would credit me the extra day. The point is I shouldn't have had to call them again. Every step of this rental transaction was an issue.
JIM JMy reservation was changed to a mobile pick up without my knowledge or approval. This wouldn't have been so much of a problem if the U-Haul app actually worked the way it was supposed to. The app is glitchy and made it take 3 times as long because I had to redo everything multiple times and at one point it just stopped working completely in the middle of the pick up process.
Jenny GMoose is very knowledgeable of the UHaul equipment and got me under way in a hurry. Made sure I was properly hooked up and ready to go.

KEITH JWe came from another UHaul site that we tried to rent from a facility where no one was present. Our key was not in the container. we could not access a truck! We came here and met with the owner on site and he assisted us with a great truck and we left immediately. Easy and much better to have someone on site. Great service!
