The man I spoke with over the phone was friendly. He said someone would be at the gate to assist me. No one was at the gate. There was a code entrance. I called the same number for assistance and another man answered. He said to leave the trailer alongside the road in front of the fence. This was very inconvenient as there were several trucks already parked along the road and the remaining places were muddy from rain. My first attempt at parking failed as I would have stepped into thick mud. I had to pull forward into an adjoining road and back the trailer in a tight turn onto the road to turn around. I then saw no choice but to park the trailer in the mud. This place has the potential of being a favorable drop-off if customers were given gate access.Steven M.

I was held up 35 minutes because the person that was the only one that can do that job wasn't there on time. There was a constant relay between the man that was there and somebody on the other line bouncing back information as they asked me. I was under the impression that when I did my online check-in did it sped up the process. Better compensation for not having trucks available and having to go way out of the way. Glad to have found the Gardendale site. Nice people and place and accommodating. But put us hours off schedule and out of the way from our original pick up place on west valley ave. Although they were very nice at that site. I put gas back where it was when I picked it up. They charged me and didn't tell me. It was just above 1/2 tank I put it back just above 1/2 tank.Billy G.

We ordered our U-Haul from a different location, showed up, and it wasn't there. Super disappointing especially when we needed the truck ASAP. Fortunately, we were able to get a different truck (much larger than what we wanted), but it worked out. The location we ended up in was great though, great service, and great people.Robert S.

Be honest with your pricing. Also, the driver's side mirror is loose and kept slipping to where it was pointing down at the road. I had to keep the window down the whole trip (3 hours) and continuously push the mirror back up. When I parked the vehicle on the road out from, upon return, as instructed, the padlock on the back of the truck was not in working condition and I had to call the owner at home to report it. She said it was no problem but I knew I would be charged for anything that was stolen out if the back. It caused me a lot of undue stress.LEE G.

Clean = yes ..Truck needed tune up I think .. the engine light stayed on. But .. it started and ran good after a shaky warm-up. .. engine light made me worry about having to tell my paid helper to maybe try again some other day .. but the truck DID VERY WELL. Will rent there again.David W.

I ordered an appliance dolly, but I didn't get one. They had a regular dolly in the truck instead. I did not need a regular dolly. And I got charged for it anyway.Timothy B.

Poor customer service. I never picked up the trailer, I called to advise but was still charged plus I was charged an additional $13. & change the next day, Tuesday 2/25. I have called & spoke to numerous people in customer service and was promised a call back from a district manager. That didn't happen. The lady at the Gardendale location who I spoke to the day I made my reservation has not returned any of my calls.Denise G.
