Zaheer Ahmad argued with me about not putting gas in the car, when in fact I DID fill the truck with gas. He did not allow me to go back in the truck to show him that I filled the tank he accused me of lying even though I told him I filled the tank. He claimed he "knew my type" and that I did not actually fill the tank. He told me to go away when I wanted to show him that i filled the tank and then he used my card information and charged me to put gas in the truck. I stayed in the area and did not see him move the truck from where I parked it or even check. He just charged me for no reason. This is absolutely unacceptable and I will be calling find out why he charged me for no reason.Byron G.

This was the worst experience I've had with U-Haul. The location was a gas station with only one vehicle. The pick up process was so different than other locations I've used before. The gas station representative was rude. He rudely asked for my phone to take a picture of my driver's license. He said "give me your phone". This was unexpected compared others time at a different locations. I told him that was rude and that he should not do that. He didn't tell me why he needed my phone. He just rushed me through the process while inside the gas station. He , rushef me to answer questions on a link that was sent to me from Uhaul. One of the question was if the truck was clean. I didn't even have a chance to inspect the truck before answering these questions. The truck was left dirty with trash inside. I have pictures. Also upon returning the truck I was being charged for insurance which he never asked me if wanted it. This was eventually removed from my bill after I complained about it. Overall I don't recommend this location to anyone. They are not setup like other location. The worst customer service.JOSE B.

They cancelled my rental before the grace period was reached. I had to spend 15 minutes calling customer service to get the rental reinstated. The man at the pickup location was rude and charged me AGAIN for the truck even though I prepaid online. I had to wait a week for the credit. He was disorganized and disrespectful. The equipment was dirty and stored in a bathroom at the gas station. I would never recommend renting at this location.Tiffany N.

I didnt get the furniture dolly or pads that i ordered. Vehicle was parked in a high traffic area so i couldnt get a good look the whole way around before pickup. I had to inspect after i left and found paint on the passenger window.Todd M.

I believe I was quoted approx. $43 when I reserved the truck. I drove it a total of 12 miles from the pick up location and back. I asked the guy about gas, and he said not to worry about it, as it only had 3/8 of a tank when I picked it up. I got no receipt and he said I was all set, then I noticed my credit card was billed a total of $61.James C.

Agents could be better trained in customer service. This location has no printer and did not print rental agreement. Details of "Confirmation of Rental" sent to me by email contained errors, for example it was claimed I made the booking for 4 hours whereas I booked the van for a whole rental period which should be 24 hours. I returned the vehicle before the expiration of period. I was charged $74.82.....$19.95 too muchTheophilus O.

The owner of this location had horrible customer service. He helped numerous people before completing our transaction so it took 20+ minutes to return the uhaul. He was very rude when asking us to put more gas in- despite driving a total of only 6 miles- after saying to make sure it was full to 3/4 of a tank- which it still was. Overall very bad service and I would not ever use or recommend this location in the future.Kaitlyn W.

When I reserved the truck U-Haul told me I had to go through a pick-up process using my smart phone, and I needed to bring passport etc. When I collected the truck I tried to go through the process 3 times but the U-Haul website crashed every time I tried to upload my driver license pictures. It turned out there were staff at the pickup location and in fact I never needed to do the online process, so the whole thing was a waste of time. Please fix your processes and your software.Howard A.

Went 25 miles, paid $10.00 for gas for a truck that was supposedly full when I picked it up, for a 10' truck I think this was a rip off. 7 miles per gallon? I don't think so. The $19.95 a day ended up being $75. with $14. insurance and gas, milage charge, for 25 miles and $10. of gas charge for 4 hours limit.Gordon K.
Jay I just saw this email after coming home with my worst experience renting from Uhaul in my life! I already returned the van by 3pm the due time. The guy at the store was acting all weird saying he is not accepting the return of the van and I need to call your office. Spoke to a lady who said you will not pay that $99.00 rental fee, Just return the van and it will all be fixed by the office.. The lady on the phone told me that it will be fixed when it gets processed so I signed the receipt under duress that still says $134.38 charge.... I am including the receipt that your company sent me. By the way the rental fee for mileage for that van on line and at the store is .39 cents per miles not.79 cents. The man at the location was extremely rude to me and my mom. I asked if he needed my ID and he snapped at me that he will tell me if he needs something, he barked at us to move away from the window when no one was in the store. He was very rude and scared us. On return of the vehicle he took my receipt and said I had to wait for the update again rudely. My sister who was picking me up confronted him on his rudeness to me and my mom the day prior and again the way he talked to me. She told him he needed to talk to people with respect and then he apologized. I would not recommend this location and this is not just this location I am placing my experience of several location that has been extremely poor. I have a small business and I have been renting cargo vans every weekend since may and the service has been just horrible I finally and giving back feedback b/c I can't deal with the locations and their service. I am now just planning to by a van than to deal with Uhaul's poor service.Maritza D.

Uhaul changed my pickup location without informing me, so I showed up at the location in my confirmation email to find they had no truck for me. When we found out that my location had been changed, I showed up at the new location (BP) and he did not have any furniture pads like I had ordered.Matthew D.
This was the most horrible experience I had with Uhaul. I had to go to 3 diferentes placed to get my truck and accessories so at one place the truck and the other place the Dollie so I was asked to return each at their respective places. So because of this I had delay on everything else. Do not recommend the place on Montgomery village, these people hardly speak any English and were super rude.Damaris B.

The cab of the truck was dirty, the clerk was very rude and disrespectful. He did not honor the contract whatsoever. The truck was returned on a half of tank and the clerk refused to take it back unless more gas was put into the truck. The gas was then placed into the truck however, the access money was not reimbursed. This location should not be allowed to rent out uhaul vehicles at all because they make the company look bad as a whole. I feel as though I wasn't treated fairly and I was taken advantage of as well as cheated out of my money.Kenya S.
My experience with the BP staff was horrible. I picked my rental an hour late, and requested that the reservation be extended an hour or two to give me time to move out of my Uhaul storage. Not only did he not extended my reservation as requested, but he didn't give me the dolly that I also reserved. When I returned the vehicle, the clerk/representive helping was extremely ruid, he charged me an additional day for services and then proceed to harrass me verbally because I didn't agree with the charges. I will never rent from this location again. BP Montgomery Village, MD has the worse customer service and will overcharge everytime just to make extra money. I would advise anyone considering this location to be careful using BP!Tina O.

The location is a gas station BP that has 2 trucks on the lot. The guy working at the location when we picked up was professional and nice however, later that day a different employee was rude when we returned the car. The Truck was a mess inside the cabin and inside the truck. 1/2 inch of dirt and dust everywhere, which got all over my furniture. There were spiders all over the place. As mentioned when returning the car, the guy was very rude, claimed my friend ran away with the keys when really he just parked his car and moved it so he could give me the keys to put gas in the truck before dropping it off. He was acting racist and ignorant. Keep your trucks cleaner and have better employees representing your company.Brittany B.

The computer to printer set up was horrendous. I had to take pictures of receipts. The operator of the facility was helpful, but it felt like if I made once missed step a heated argument would ensue. Please explain to me how a $19.95/day plus mileage fee turns into and $80.00/day plus mileage fee. First off both attendants were beyond rude. I had to tell one of them do not raise your voice at me and speak to me that way. The could not print a receipt so I had to take a picture of the screen for pick up and drop off. They lock you inside the store to check you in and out which is very uncomfortable! The truck smelled like urine and when I complained he became even more annoyed. I also want to verify with him that I was not going to return the truck on a full tank when it was half full when I picked it up. He yelled at me and told me I was wasting his time. When I returned it the other rude guy was telling me that I didn't pay which I did. I had to show him a copy of my charges on my debit card to prove that I paid it. THIS PLACE SUCKS AND SO DOES THE TWO WORKING THERE! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND HE DID NOT GIVE ME BACK MY LICENSE AND i HAVE BEEN CALLING ALL DAY AND NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE NUMBER PROVIDED ITS A FAX MACHINE. I DON'T EVEN WANT TO TOUCH MY OWN LICENSE NOW BECAUSE THE PLACE IS DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY!.. HE WAS SNEEZING WITHOUT COVERING HIS NOSE ALL OVER THE DAM COUNTER. THIS PLACE IS BEYOND HORRIBLE. Customer service was essentially nonexistent. The site's computer system was down. Rather than handle our requests offline, the employee simply told us to go to another location and elaborated no further. He refused to listen to our questions and concerns. Luckily, an employee at the Germantown location we visited was extremely helpful and was able to reconcile all of our issues. Patrick exemplifies great customer service and went above and beyond to help my wife and I, even though the majority of our needs were through another location. Kudos to Patrick. Well, first off the location that I tried to rent from in DC said that they had no trucks available... only to discover when passing they had about 10 of each different length truck. Secondly, the U-Haul system that found the 10' truck in Gaithersburg put me an extra hour away from where I needed to be which made my move longer then necessary. Last of all, the Gaithersburg location is a little hole in the wall BP station. The truck I was allotted looked like the previous driver had hit/drove over something as the front bumper was no longer sitting correctly on the body of the truck. I rented a 10' Truck for 24 hours at 1:30pm on a Sunday. The clerk asked me when I intended to return the truck and I said I was hoping to get it back the same day due to working the next, but that I was unsure. I then verified that it was a 24 hour rental for the $19.95 and he said yes. When I went to return it at 8a the next morning, the system charged me for two days given the clerk chose to put in a return time of 8:45pm. The Monday clerk was unable to modify this and demanded that I pay it or call Uhaul to fix it. While I believe the clerk was not intending to be rude - rather I believe there was a language barrier - it was NOT good service. I called Uhaul and Jessica was very nice and helpful, but could NOT fix the problem either. I was forced to pay an extra $21 for a 2nd day rental, even though I returned the truck w/in the 24 hours. Then the store clerk was unable to process my credit card OR print my receipt. Horrible experience. I am appalled that Uhaul would not allow their customer service call center staff to fix a problem at this level. Why bother HAVING customer service if they have no authority to fix such a clear low-level problem. I was promised a manager would contact me to resolve the issue and that never happened. I just checked my account and I did get the refund for $19.95, which I appreciate, however, the customer service process at the store, on the call line and in the refund process was all abysmal!Shannon B.
