I made a reservation for a 20 foot truck several days in advance. Upon picking up the vehicle I was never informed that the vehicle failed on the road and had transmission problems. I had to take it upon myself to call several other locations to eventually find another vehicle.. an hour out of the way. A lot of my time was wasted and the worst customer experience. I returned the truck with half a tank of fuel and was still charged for fuel. I even swept out the bed of the Uhaul. I won't be returning as a customer and won't recommend or advise any friends or family to use uhaul in the future.Adam S.

UHaul, why do I have to scan my driver license 3 times? I submit it online the day before. Then I get there and the clerk needs to see it. Then I have to submit a picture of it to U-Haul website *again*. What a waste of time. No matter how much I tried to make the rental go as quick as possible, UHaul always manages to make it take forever.Brexton P.
One problem was with the side mirrors. They don't stay in place and need to be tightened down. The drivers door knob is in need of repair. Otherwise the truck drove very well and served it's purpose. ¡Gracias!Domenic G.

People are good at their jobs in terms of working with the customer. But I had to pay extra for gas because the filler neck was broken, when it should've been checked especially at the fuel level the truck was at when I received it. Now I know in future rentals to verify that I can actually put gas in the vehicles I'm renting even through that should not be a concern for a customer. Again fantastic people but just a simple check of the vehicles when they are returned would've saved me from this situation.jacob M.

There was no explanation on how to do things and we waited two hours just to get into the storage room. Also 60 miles is nothing, we drove that and just made it to where we needed to go and we already paid over $170. Then we had to pay $23 more which makes no sense.Jeremiah M.
The truck had 1/4 tank and I had to put in 25 gallons at $5.50. If it was full I would have replaced the gas I used at $3.50 in Wisconsin. $2.00 a gallon x 25 gallons = $50.00 to replace the gas used by someone else in California. Never accept this if you rent a uhaul. Request a full tank and only replace what you used.Mark J.

Made it 2 miles before running out of gas. 1 mile short of the nearest gas station. So I parked it on the side of the road and took the key back to get a different truck. The woman at the counter acted more inconvenienced than I was. No apology, no discount, no empathy, nothing. She just groaned and got me a key to a different truck. Both trucks were dirty. I get that it's a utility vehicle but at least wipe down the steering wheel. If the pandemic taught us anything it's that we don't want to touch sticky sweaty stinky things that others have touched. I washed my hands at each stop. But the main thing here is that there is a complete lack of customer service and you will be treated poorly. Seriously, all it took was an "our bad, let me get you back on the road as quick as possible" and I'm not writing this review.Cody R.
i did not get to go inside the little building that this uhaul occupied but the man who helped me here was very kind and knew exactly what he was doing! he was diligent, made it very quick and easy after a long day. in and out within 5 minutes!Devin C.

Was originally given reservations for a location closer to my home, but my reservation was changed and required me to pickup the truck at location further away and in the opposite direction of my travel. When I voiced my complaint to the Uhaul representative there was only silence. When I requested compensation for the extra miles traveled between the two location and the extra miles I would be charged, again only silence. The people at where I eventually picked up the truck were nice and professionally. However, if I ever require the use of a rental truck in the future. Uhaul will be my last choice.Daniel F.

We turned our UHaul in before our cut off time and still got charged the extra day. They then said we did not fill the truck up to what it was when we got it and charged us for that as wellâ€¦ felt like they were trying to get every ounce of money they could out of us. When I showed up to my location of reservation there was no truck or dollies reserved. I had to be re routed to another pick up location and was not offered compensation for my time or mileage.This is said â€œto happen all the timeâ€ as well as â€œUhaul overbooks trucks all of the timeâ€. This is an unacceptable way to do business and I was so very dissatisfied. I will be looking elsewhere for my moving needs in the future.RACHEL L.

Truck was filthy inside and out. It smelled like an ashtray so bad that my eyes watered while driving it. I had the douse the cab and back of the van with Febreeze and it still smelled like cigarettes. The app pick-up process required additional information at the time of pick-up that could/should have been obtained in advance. I just stood in the parking lot for 40 minutes while U-Haul verified my info. Total joke.David F.
