I booked an 8am mobile pickup using the web site. I got a confirmation of an 8:30am pickup. Not what I wanted as I was on a very tight schedule. it turns out this location Does not support mobile check-in and does not open until 8:30. It took until 8:50 to get the keys and my return time was still 4 hrs. from start of paper processing instead of when I got the van. your web site should be updated to advise a client when mobile check in is not available. the first time I found this out was 8am when I tried to check in and site said I couldn't and I would need to wait until someone arrived to do it manually. Also I had to clean my rental because agent did not have time to do it. not a good covid-19 process.

Upon picking up the van, I was unable to "scan" my documents (which I already uploaded and were verified),and this was very frustrating. Luckily the person working was able to simply see it was me by checking my ID. Also, although I understand the idea of contactless pick up etc...and when I got in the van I accepted the van as it was which was fee of litter and debris but had a really dusty/dirty dash and console. At some point, someone at Uhaul should clean the vans. Having said that, this location was great to deal with, the van was waiting for me and the cost was reasonable and what I expected based on my pre-booking. I would rent again from here! :)

The website is overwhelming, the intention to up sale all the things I do not need is too much and at a cost of pissing off your customers. While expect your company to take every precaution to secure my information, taking a picture of my drivers license is a HUGE security risk. It took 30 minutes to check in. This is way too long. Please simplify your website and consider the importance of being able to interact with a person.

The experience of the UHAUL app/online check in is so bad it's hard to put in words. I've used it twice now and it's been exactly the same in both circumstances. I had such a bad experience the first time that this time I elected to pay extra money just to check in at the counter, only to be told that this wouldn't be possible and that id still need to use the self serve option. Here is a summary of my experience: ordered my van, filled out all pre work including uploading shots of my drivers license. This is advertised as a way to save time, hilariously. Opt to pay to check on at location - so far so good. A few hours prior to picking up the van I get an emailed informing I'll need to use self serve check in. Go to location and open app, select “pick up my truck”, it asks me to take a picture of myself, so I do and nothing. I take another picture, another picture, another picture, nothing. Contact chat agent (5 min wait) an at this point I'm just standing in a parking lot already behind schedule. Agent tries to trouble shoot and eventually tells me not to use the app but instead use the site (why have an app l?) so I log into the site and managed to proceed. I am now asked to upload photos of my drivers license license again? Then The van I was supposed to check in wasn't there. Anyway finally managed to get to the end of the check in I was told to go inside the location and pick up the key. This is after I tried to check in in person and was told it wasn't possible. Honestly, the self serve check in process is a disaster it needs to be fixed quickly. You guys aren't the only company doing short term van rentals

I signed up for a rental for a location on Gerard which was only several hundred metres from my house, but when i got confirmation and went to that location, I had been re-routed to another location on Gerard and was forced to take an Uber to pick the truck up and then another once I'd returned the rental.

Eventoug they didn't have the equipment I ordered online (dolly ,blankets), the l Nice lady and her colleague managed to get me a dolly bit nt the blankets ( not big deal since I used mine). Customer service was great and my transaction went very smooth...will definitely recommend this location.

Computer issues and manual adjustments to receipt and order via head office make the experience poor. Billing charges still incorrect and terrible experience dealing with your Support department to correct. Young lady behind the counter was awesome though.

The truck cab was disgusting, dirty and smelly with garbage on the floor. The windshield wiper was not working properly. Was not a pleasant experience moving my trade show goods in the truck we got.

The moving truck was really really dirty inside, there was too much dust and rest of coffee in the truck. Also, there was dirt in our seats and the tank was just 1/4 and I had to stop in a gas station for 2 times for me to be able to drive safely without concerning about the truck would stop anytime soon, because of lack of gas. If I need to do another moving, I would go to another company next time, because the truck that I had was way to dirty to be able to drive.

My last 2/3 dealings ive had with Uhaul have not been pleasant. The amounts involved with the dispute have been relatively minor but the principle is important. I took a van for couple of hours and used 8 km and when I fill the gas it took $ 16.00 (CAD). I informed the office and they said it's ok. I can't understand how it is ok?

Dorothy, the woman at the front desk at Migson who helped us with our rental was very friendly and helpful. The truck I had originally booked had the driver's side door frozen shut (freezing rain the night before), but she easily switched my rental to a slightly smaller van which I actually preferred. The office has recently been renovated and is very nice which seating for customers and packing items for sale if you need them. The price of my rental was very reasonable and it was easy to drop off the vehicle and the key. I would definitely rent a U-Haul from this location again!

The vehicle was dirty and clearly had not been looked at before it was rented to me. The back area was fully of leaves, dirt and a few garbage cans. The passenger cab had half eaten chicken wings in the door pockets/cup holders.

My experience with the location has been but with u-haul in general, was absolutely annoying and disappointing. I will neither use U-Haul nor recommend to a someone in the future. I booked a cargo van for dec2 9:00pm, it was a 24/7 mobile pickup. I went to the location on time and started the pickup process on the app and the message on the screen said “ pickup has been changed to a hand delivery” and I wasn't even notified of this, the store was closed so I couldn't talk to the people in store so I called customer service and they said they are not sure what happened and as there were no lock box pick up option available at migson, they advised me to go to a different location 7km from where i booked my initial pick up. I went there started the pickup proceeds over the app and I received a code to the lock box, I was charged $60 and guess what there was no key in the box. I call customer support and stay on line for 15 minutes and now again they have no clue about why there was no key. All they could say was “ do you want to schedule a pickup for tomorrow”? Like seriously do you people think that all we have to do i life is just waste days of time on moving? So now call about the $60 I was charged and customer support again, has no clear answer. The support person I spoke sounded like she just woke up and she kept saying I would be refunded the remaining amount after applicable usage charges, like what the hell , there was no pick up or usage why would there be any charges? I explained her what happened like three times and then she says oh money is on hold by your bank and will be released as per your bank's processing times. Now, I had to take a day off to move, lose my pay for a day just because U-Haul is incapable of doing their job. Through out the process none of the support agents were even apologetic. I picked up a van got my job done, refilled the tank and guess what I was charged for gas, I Couldn't question because I was told receipt will be emailed and I didn't Know about the charges until I saw the receipt. this time I don't have an hour to waste contacting U-Haul, so I decided to let it go.

Whoever used the van before me was clearly moving hay and manure because the entire van smelled like cow poop and there was a thin layer of dirt/manure in the back of the van and hay in every corner. We were moving a couch, and our entire apartment smelled like a barn after we moved the couch in. I'll be reaching out for a refund.
