The site gets average because of the lady who helped me get all my stuff handled over the phone when uhaul changed my pick up location. If it wasn’t for her I would be giving a lower rating.

My reservation was changed from 6:30 AM to 9 AM less than 16 hours before the pickup. I chose this location specifically because it had 24/7 Ride Share, allowing me to pickup the truck whether the store was open or not. When I arrived at the location at 9 AM, the app told me "Counter Service Required" for some reason. Problem was, this pickup was on a Sunday, and the store was closed! I called GO-UHAUL and the service rep told me "This location doesn't do 24/7 Rideshare." This is despite the fact that it was 1) listed as such on the U-Haul portal and 2) I was LOOKING at the keybox that had my truck keys in it. Luckily for me, the manager of the facility came in around 9:20 (even though they aren't open on Sundays) and opened the box for me. Had she not shown up, I wouldn't have been able to get my truck. This is in addition to pushing my moving timeline back nearly 3 hours the night before after I had already coordinated with friends at my old and new locations to help me move. I asked the manager about it, and she told me they do 24/7 Ride Share, and then proceeded to unlock the lock box under a big sign that said "24/7 Ride Share Key Pickup" and hand me the keys. The location was great, but the 24/7 Ride Share application has some serious issues.

I was disappointed that the pick-up location did not have the vehicle I had reserved available. They did give me a larger truck for the same price. Also, I reserved for Sept. 1 but U-Haul reserved for Sept. 3 when the location was closed. I had reserved six blankets but the location had no record of this.

The trailor was located next to a woody area and I had a tic immediately attach to my ankle. Also it took me 3 attempts to obtain a new electrical cable for the trailer because the first two were broken.

Was given the oldest truck for a trip upstate South Carolina. Suspension was was leaning to the right bad which made the drive even better. Asked if I could change trucks and I was told they were booked, but two days later the trucks were still parked out front.

Reserved it online and when I arrived they said they didn't have it. Call customer service and after 45 mins on hold they told me to go back in they will call them. Now 2hrs later they gave me the same trailer sitting outside that he assure me was unserviceable. Horrible ordeal.

The U-Haul Truck had a crack across the windshield. I had to drive way out of my way to pick it up .i was given 60 extra miles and a extra day .which was great .but i was still charged a fee for the trailer i rented for the extra day.That was at the turn in uhaul.

I was charged a different rate then the online quote. I am also upset that with over three weeks notice, I was not able to pick up from desired location. Contract initiation within the store went fine, and no issues with the rented truck.

I was overcharged by $50 plus dollars!! It took me speaking with 6 people and being hung up on 3 times and transferred over and over because no one knew how to do their job to get those corrected. The only person that had GREAT customer service and actually took the time to help me was Talanda! Keep her, she is awesome! I requested a copy of the phone conversation from one guy and he said it was sent and of course I never got it. The place I actually rented the Uhaul from said they couldn't fix the overcharge I had to call uhaul which was a total let down when I rented it from them....they should have been able to correct this. My uhaul purchase went from $226 like my confirmation reservation stated to $300!!! Huge difference and when I asked the lady about it in the Napa store she said it was taxes. Then they had issues with the computer and the guy got a little upset and stated I was holding up the line for his "real customers" (Napa auto) that was extremely rude. Like it was my fault they had computer issues. After that experience and the HORRIBLE customer service I received trying to get the overcharge corrected has made me conclude from here on out I will seek another rental company.

There was horrible customer service and I received no help with the tow dolly or help making sure everything was strapped the proper way, they basically charged me and handed over a receipt and told me where the dolly was.

I reserved a trailer a week in advance and was notified the day before my trip that I had to travel 45min. To pick up a trailer from another site, while they were closed, and the police harassed me about my pick up until I showed them I had paperwork left for me in the mailbox for the rental. Just an overall poor experience to say the absolute least.

Send receipt in PDF format instead of GIF. PDF is universally used format. My computer doesn't recognize GIF. I had to use my word processor to read it. That is a real annoyance in an otherwise great experience.

We were instructed to drop our truck and rental gear at this location AFTER hours. We were assured they would check in our truck the very next morning, 12/14/2015, but our truck was NOT checked in until the 18th! We were then notified later from UHaul, and told we needed to make payment for days we did not use. I received a phone call prior to the Christmas holiday from an area manager and was told he would "investigate", but he has not gotten back to me since. We cannot call him for a follow up because he seems to use a personal cell phone. That is fine and all, but in this situation, contact information for someone who is helping you is critical. About two weeks later, we were charged the $50 extra dollars for the days we never used! Outrageous! Upon calling the credit agency for Uhaul, the agent told me our money would be returned once the investigation had finished. So, now Uhaul is charging us for days they can't prove we used? Guilty until proven innocent? Unacceptable. Uhaul was aware an investigation was pending and still charged us. To this day, I have contacted the drop off location store twice, I spoke with the head manager named John, and a woman, who were helpful but HIGHLY defensive about the situation. They claim the fault is on UHaul and there is nothing they can do on their end. With no word from our area manager who was supposed to be on our side to help us get this situation squared away, it seems like this is all apart of a bad scheme to get more money. I am highly upset and will NOT be using UHaul again, or recommend it to anyone. In a situation where an expensive move is unavoidable, we relied on Uhaul to make our experience stress free and painless and received the complete opposite.

Vehicle died on me twice due to a very old battery. Had to call in two service request for help to get vehicle started. This cost me over 5 hours of moving time lost because the service technicians took 90 minutes to reach my location each time.

I wanted to rent the truck on Nov 28th and return it on Nov 30th. Midway office told me they were closed on Nov 28th but that I could pick up the truck Nov 27th and keep the same return date of Nov 30th for no extra charge. I returned the truck on Nov 29th after 4:00 and I was still charged a late day charge.
