After making a reservation almost two weeks earlier, arranging for two helpers for a one way move about 140 miles away we got a phone call the middle of the day before the scheduled move saying they weren't going to have the equipment we needed. I called to find out why. Basically I was given to understand that they didn't want to lease a truck for a one way move. NOBODY mentioned that little detail in the few times we interacted prior. How does that work for active duty military I wonder since generally speaking they are being reassigned and can't return the truck. After half a dozen calls, nearly 2 hours on hold I thought we had worked it all out only to be told at the dealership when trying to get the 15 ft truck we needed that the person who scheduled the reservation put the 26th and not the 25th as I requested. We were left with an option for a smaller 10 ft. truck or nothing. We took it as everything was already set to begin the move.It did not hold all my household goods and we have been forced to make extra trips back and forth with gas prices riding close to $5.00 a gallon to try to load everything else into an SUV and a pickup truck. Clearly Uhaul isn't what it once was. No I would not advise people to use your services! I would rather advise them to think and act quite cautiously before considering!jennie T.

Drivers mirror kept turning towards the ground when you drive! Extremely dangerous as you keep having to roll down the window and try to push it back up at least 70-90 times while driving on I-95!! Gas was almost empty so 1st thing was to go straight to a gas station. No Wifi at pickup site to do self check-in so I lost 40 minutes of driving time trying to just get the truck! There are plenty of other companies to use people!! The company I work for has over 300,000 employees and I will pass on this experience to them! Even the 2 movers I contracted with U-haul tryed to get me to hire them to move me saying they have trucks also but I declined so where is the loyalty to your own company that is paying you. No cruise control!! Never again sir, never again!!Jerry D.

I rented the van for $19.99. The cargo area needed to be sweeper out before I even left the facility and or loaded it up. I swept it out myself to avoid being charged a cleaning fee if applicable.jason S.

There were 2 employees on staff a younger black male who was very friendly and helpful. There was also an approx 50 year old white female with many tattoos who was the exact opposite. She was not helpful and frankly rude throughout. Otherwise great overall transaction.benjamin A.

The trailer needs grease in the fittings along with lube or wd40 on all other moving parts. Was extremely hard to secure my vehicle because the tie downs were rusted along with the trailer jackERIC C.

The vehicle smelled so heavily of Marijuana when I picked it up I had to keep the windows down the whole time I'd be in it. It made me so sick. When making the online reservation I opted out of the additional coverage and when I picked the vehicle up I was still charged for it. When I returned the truck i asked about it and was told basically oh well. I do not recommend this location.MIRANDA H.

The cab of the vehicle smelled like marijuana. The after hours return process is tedious and time consuming. It is not customer friendly and suggests that the customer is stupid and dishonest. All the information requested could be easily verifiable by employees upon the business opening.JUSTIN S.

I was charged a $50 cleaning for a truck that wasn't clean when I got it. It was pouring rain when I got the truck. Because I supposedly didn't clean truck in the pouring rain, I was charged a $50 cleaning fee which is ridiculous!! I will never ever rent from this location again and will tell everyone who needs a rental not to rent from this location. In my many truck and car rentals, I've never had to clean a vehicle before I return it. I was only told to return the truck with a full tank of gas as issued to me, nothing about channing!Debra F.

First of all, the customer service at this location was great. However, UHaul has a policy in place that penalizes the customer for turning in a vehicle or trailer after the store has closed. He/she normally has 24 hours to return their rental. I picked up my rental at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday and returned it at 7:00 p.m., an hour after the store closed. But there is a $20 "courtesy" fee that is applied if you cannot access the site thru your cell phone to respond to the info required if you turn the rental in after store hours. This is ridiculous. I use a non-android phone so I couldn't access the site and the page with the receipt confirmation/verification wasn't the same when using a computer. I was at work the next day and couldn't resolve this so my wife took care of it for me. Bottom line is this - the $20 "courtesy" fee is really a terrible business practice and needs to be dropped.DAVID W.

Associate barely looked up when I dropped the keys off. Plus there was no checking of vehicle before I left (that's on me to a degree as well, I didn't insist as I probably should have). This led to me being dinged for an additional $12 of gas, when I KNOW it was a lil above what was in it when I picked it up. First off the truck definitely needs to be retired, it runs really rough. Secondly I was charged $100 each for 2 dolly's that were supposedly missing plus $7 a day each rental fees so $114 times 2 for an item they say was missing that I never saw. I did rent an appliance dolly $10 a day for 2 days, but what are these other 2 dolly's? Very bad business.ROBERT I.

One of the BEST experiences I have had in a long time while renting 26 foot trucks from UHAUL. (I have rented more than 6 - 26 foot trucks in the past year.) I pick up food from a food bank in Fayetteville, NC and deliver it to Caring Touch Outreach in Pembroke, NC.
