This was the worst rental experience I have ever had. I originally rented the cargo van at the location on Wesley Chapel Blvd. I rented it for 9am Sunday and a woman called me at 5:30 Saturday evening and told me that they don't open until 10am and that they had nowhere to leave the keys. I told her I needed the van at 9 and asked if I could pick up the keys then. She told me no and hung up on me. After that a rep from U-haul called me. She made me a reservation at the Midgard location. Luckily as I was driving there I called to make sure they had received the reservation. A lovely man named Morgan, who was the ONLY truly helpful person in this whole ordeal, told me that yes they had received the reservation but they didn't have a van!! He reserved me a van for the next morning. Even though Midgard is farther for me, i will be using them from now on.

Online check-in and check-out was very easy. Tip: make sure you read the instructions thoroughly the day before! My only suggestion for this location is to make it more clear where you can park your personal vehicle while borrowing the trucks.

Your employee said that I can return it a couple hours late and it would be fine and then charges me for another full day rental after I return it. I will not be using uhaul car trailer rentals again.

The associates at Midgard are friendly and communicative. It was a bit busy when picking up my U-Haul but they acknowledged every person and worked quickly to move everyone through.

My sister had setup a reservation with me as the primary driver. I arrive at the rental location and had to wait 90 minutes before even talking to one of the guys working there. Apparently, their computer systems were slow, unresponsive, failed to communicate with UHaul systems, or all of the above. Once I made it to the counter, they proceeded to try to continue my sister's reservation, but the system failed. They entertained the idea of manually entering our information later if we left them the appropriate details, only to find out that it is against UHaul policy to operate like that. So right off the bat if you need to be anywhere quickly, just move along. They have no pen-and-paper method to serve as a backup in case of technology issues. We finally get the van, handle our move, and return the next day. My sister proceeds to return the vehicle on her phone and is informed her rental is cancelled. Not knowing what to do because the rental location didn't open for another 2 hours (mind you, they told us to return the vehicle at a time they were not going to be open), we dropped the key in the box and went home prepared to call UHaul and make sure the rental was handled properly. Only after discussion and research did we figure out that the rental location cancelled my sister's reservation and for some unknown reason made out the van rental to me - which was never communicated in any way. Now we need to rent another van this weekend, and are going to have to try another rental location wasted our time and patience. The van was great and the UHaul app was responsive. Those are the only two attributes of this experience that were even remotely enjoyable.

All in all, it was fine...but to improve. Windshield inside was terribly dirty. Picked up at 7:00am, could not see at that time. Windshield wipers were months past useful... and in Florida love bug season were completely ineffective. Both outside mirrors were loose... every time you hit a bump, they would change the vision. Thanks
