Hi there, I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience on Saturday, 2/12. A $50 refund is completely unacceptable. Uhaul completely dropped the ball and sent me on a wild goose chase from 10am to 4pm to be able to transport my stuff. I went to 4 locations just to finally get an inappropriately sized truck. My initial reservation was incorrectly booked by uhaul, and I was directed to another location to get a truck. That truck was delayed in being returned by a previous rental, and I understood that wasn't uhaul's fault. However, I was told I would receive a call with an ETA from that location. I call almost 1.5 hrs later and am told "oh she won't be back with that truck at all today". I never received an update. Then I was directed to a third location where I was assured there would be assistance with a trailer hookup as we expressly said we didn't have any tools or setup for a trailer. That location had no such set up. Final location was a 20ft truck which was WAY too big and my furniture slide around. I had also originally ordered a dolly and padding and of course those were not included. You're telling me we drove around Columbia for several hours, spend all that gas, extra food, and I had to delay my moving assistance to get a $50 refund? My 5 hr day turned into a 12 hr day, and Uhaul dropped the ball 4 times throughout the day, with the exception of a very kind worker named Alh at your 1500 Charleston location in Columbia, who was handling everything there like a pro. I require a full refund. I have been very kind and maintained a respectful attitude with you all up until this point. You need to take accountability and fix this wrongdoing.Jeanette L.

The young man who works there is wonderful--he helped me earlier in the week when I was interested in a 10' truck and although there was not one available he searched for local options before convincing me to consider a 15' that would be available. When I arrived for pick-up, the truck had not been returned so he waited and called me when it became available. Overall, I enjoyed the experience.EMILY M.

My reservation was canceled at another location the same day because I was late to pick up the van. I made the reservation weeks in advance and was paying for two days, yet it was canceled without even a phone call. This left me in a seriously stressful and tough spot to find another local van. The owner of the first location spoke with someone corporate on the phone who said she would call me back in fifteen minutes with the location of the closest van. This woman never called me. I was fortunate enough to get on the phone another location who looked up and found me an available van nearby. It was a terrible experience due to the corporate money grab of canceling my reservation without asking. I will never rely on Uhaul again out of fear of being left stranded again.Matthew G.

Adriann Horton the area manager contacted me personally regarding my recent experience. She was very polite and understanding of the situation I was in. She gave me a refund which I was blown away. Never had this level of care with Penske and Budget which I've used many times over U-Haul. You guys for sure have a frequent flyer now.Jake A.
Agent was very helpful and nice. We did the inspections and contracts in a walk-through type instruction. Equipment was faulty unbeknownst. Rough idle truck, possible faulty wiring between truck or dolly (seemed to be intermittently working, I.e. blinking very slowly, sometimes cutting off, had to have hazards on my personal vehicle.) previous customer didn't loosen left side strap properly (it was folded/knotted through the loop), fiddled around at pickup and drop off trying to pull out to no avail. Safety chain seemed fine at pickup, but was actually safety-risk loose and roadside service provider was able to wiggle it around.JACOB A.

Attendant in Columbia couldn't help pick up the trailer, needed to move the trailer up to keep the back end from hitting the ground. No wheel blocks available to keep trailer from rolling back. Pawleys Island attendant very helpful.Chris I.
Rented a cargo van for my caterer to use to drive to NC with all of his eqyupment. Took 2 visits and 2 hours to finally complete the transaction. The employee kept telling me my credit card would accept. Tried like 10 limes. THEN said oh the Uhaul system is down. Sorry nothing I can do. Really? then the system pops back up in 10 minutes? Very unprofessional and made zero attemps to help us with any alternate ideas other than telling my caterer he needed to come up with cash to pay for the van. And figure out how to get the cash as he had no other vehicle there. Not a fun experience as the mother of the bride in NC about to have a stress fit.Rachael H.

Still very upset I have called u haul and voiced my complaint the truck was dirty nasty, and smelled from the cab to the back of the truck the cab had burned matches in the floor and smelled of smoke and the back of the truck had so much trash, paper, food, candy wrappers, pasta noodles and just had the worst odor wasn't happy that I had to put my personal stuff in this truck. I dropped the vehicle off after hours. Per the instructions from the sales associate, I merely dropped the keys in the box out front. The subsequent emails indicated I needed to check out online or would be fined $20. It also said I needed to be at the location. So at 10:30 pm I drove back to the site but it still did not acknowledge my location.Michael E.

Again, Amanda stepped up to the plate. We were going from India Land to drop my daughter off at a College Apartment in Columbia, SC. Amanda was familiar with the area and was able to provide the ideal drop off spot for our needs - most convenient to apartment, only needed truck one way, for the day and most likely would be after hours. She gets 5 stars in my book. We had no interaction with anyone at Migard in Columbia as was after hours.Brian M.
