This my second rental from this location: the first I was over-charged for insurance and mileage, the second charged for fuel when the tank was not initially full. (It seems impossible to use 10 litres (2 gallons) of fuel for 25 km (15 miles). The vehicle was clean, the location convenient, the staff helpful - but the business not trusworthy.Michael Y.
Gave me old vehicle and it got broke down in middile. Said $50 will be refunded if I don't find my vehicle at reservation start time. Charged for extra miles than what we have used. First of all, We were not informed when we reserved our truck in Truro that we would have to pick the truck in Halifax and pay an extra $70.00 in gas. Second, we were not informed that there was a leaky roof. There was a sign that the truck was not waterproof, but the amount of water that came in was a lot and destroyed some contents. I think that someone should be aware of the leak and look into fixing it. Very upset that this happened.robert P.

The virtual pickup and drop process is too lengthy. It take like 20 mins to complete all the request. If it can be streamlined by asking the license and other details before that would be great!MANDAR L.
Truck was dirty on the outside, back was unlocked, and gas cap was off when I picked it up - clearly had not been checked since last user. Also I had come before during business hours to pick up supplies and nobody was there (there were also a couple other customers waiting). I would not recommend this location.Conrad P.

This experience was an absolute nightmare. Truck wasn't ready, cops were called on us, the engine grinded for the entirety of the trip and could barely take hills, and then I was almost attacked when dropping off the truck. Will never again be a customer with your atrocious company!Aaron M.

U-Haul's reservation website is horrible. You deliberately overbook trucks, and change the truck type on my reservation without telling me. You 2FA and requirement for location services make the mobile experience horrible. I tried calling the 1-800 number multiple times to confirm my reservation and complain, but no one ever answered and the voicemail was full. Instructions on self-check in were not clear. While I would recommend this site I am not as pleased with the actual truck rental. Of the approximately 12 or so times that the truck needed to be started on our trip the truck would only start about a third of the time. The other times the engine would not turn at all. We wasted hours calling U-Haul for support. At times other individuals were able to eventually get the truck to start but could not explain why. It was finally decided that when the truck is in "PARK" the gear needs to "giggled" until the motor recognizes that the truck is in "PARK" and ready to start. This took as many as 5-6 attempts before the engine would turn over. No one at the call "Roadside Assistance" call centre, which had me on hold for hours over the three days of our trip, was ever able to suggest this. In future I would hope that they will assist drivers of this truck of the need to "giggle" the gear... and then part that it works so as to avoid the many wasted hours on our 1800 KM drive..Stevan T.
Searching for the truck could be easier. Doesn't much time searching many trucks for numbers they didn't have. Either put numbers on all trucks or highlight the number better on numbered trucks.Robert M.

Stop charging more. The odometer rating was in miles while the person coverted the miles in kilometers to count it as miles and then converted into kilometers again which means i drove just 14 miles he charged me for 30 miles. It was 74670 miles which is something 120654 km he counted 120654 as miles. That's just stupid and i was charged extra for that.Shlok C.

The truck was filthy, I wasn't told the truck would be at this location. I ordered the truck at your Windmill Road store, waiting a half hour in line to be told the truck was on Green Street. When I finally got the truck it was disgusting, and the fuel gauge read 3/4 but I was told it was full. I don't think I'll be backANDREW R W S.

The preregistration made my Uhaul rental pick up incredibly fast. But, arrive prepared with everything you need for towing. Uhaul franchisee rent but don't operate a Uhaul Store. So if you need something they may or may not have it. Over all a very pleasant experienceSteve S.

Great experience with service. The person who booked before me didn't return the van in time, so they loaned me another that was much larger than necessary and made moving between alleyways harder. Ditto on the dolly - they issued an appliance dolly instead of the smaller hand truck. Glad they could accommodate me, but overall a miserable day.DANIEL JOSEPH P.
