I had requested to do the pick up through the app, when I tried it confirmed that I had chosen the option to do it through the app but still required me to wait for someone at 1000am, there was already a gentleman there who assisted me though it still delayed me. There was nothing special about this location, but for someone moving to downtown Halifax it was extremely convenient and easy to get to. It had a nice large lot for navigating a large U-Haul. The location itself was ok. Help wise there wasn't much to do other than drop off the keys. I note that there was another very upset couple ahead of me who also had booked a 15' truck and were being told they had to take a 26' truck. I did get an extra charge on my card after the fact that I had to call about and they explained it was for mileage. With regard to the mileage charge, I was charged for additional miles used. As noted on my pickup location comments, I had to pickup in Saint John rather than Sussex which is almost 80KM father from my final destination than Sussex where I wanted to pickup the vehicle. Not to mention I had to drive around Saint John taking extra miles to pickup the moving materials (that second location by the way was very friendly and helpful). It is completely unacceptable to charge me for miles that occurred as a result of U-Hauls actions not mine. I have two more needs for moving vehicles in the next 4 to 5 months and without some form of rectification of the issues I faced on this rental experience, I will be looking to other options for my future rentals.Jeff C.

On the online check in process, it indicates no symbols or spaces when entering your license number. However, after several unsuccessful attempts, it accepted the number with spaces. I checked with online chat and phone for assistance and no response from either. We lost a lot of time because of this.Lori M.

This location is horrible. I went to return my truck and I was to get remaining amount since they did a cash deposit as I used my Debit card the guy who knew wasn't there so they took my number and said they'll call me. They never called me and next day I was charged way over and they said I didn't return the truck same amount as it was in was given which is a lie cuz I know I did.Anjanaya S.

Very disappointed with this Uhaul location. I rented a truck here. I took pics of the gas and mileage upon pickup, When I dropped it off I took more pics. Before returning the truck . I put gas up to where it was when I got the truck. I returned the truck after hours so I put the keys in the drop box. When I checked the emailed statement afterwards, they charged me extra for gas. Completely not warranted. I also want to mention that when I picked up the truck I had to go inside to pay. The office was very dirty and cluttered. Not a good thing if you have allergies. I will not be going here again.DENISE M.

The location was very messy, the vehicle was not cleaned and the people did not inspect the truck with me only asked me to go online an enter a report. I was in a hurry and forgot to do this but did look the truck over and there was no real damage other than some scratches on the box which to my experience we very normal. I returned the truck after 5 hours where I travelled only 3KM or less all on city streets with no trees. Upon the return the people did not leave the desk to inspect the truck. An hour or so later I received 2 calls accusing me of damaging the vehicle. The tone of the call to me was to pin something on me that was missed on a prior rental thinking because I purchased the insurance I would just pay the 150 deductible. I ended the experience informing them that if they continued to accuse me of something I clearly did not do I would report them to the BBB.Howard S.

This location actually saved me after the bayers lake location completely messed up my booking and forgot to leave a key in the box. Took me an hour onhold with an actually very helpful agent to solve it. I'd rate this location higher if it wasn't for the bayers lake location being so terribleAndrew K.

In the middle of an escalation. Was charged the wrong amount of mileages used, and the rate per km was incorrect. Instead of being charged .89 cents per km I was charged 1.43 per km. In addition, I used under 10km during our usage recorded before and after km reading yet was charged 20 km usage. Mobile pick up took 45 minutes due to glitches and system issues.Chloe M.

Because I returned the vehicle with the same amount of gas as I took it with. fortunately I took a photo. Had to call to get a refund. The agent remembered me... as when I recently returned a truck to the 379 Herring Cove location, they charged me for extra fuel as well. I send in the picture, they said I would get a refund and I never did. Had to call again. So, almost every time I need to rent or return from a location that is not a UHAUL dealer like Bayers lake, they attempt to add on charges. I have to spend the time to get my money back and then to call again when it is not ever returned. Would love to be able to stop doing this.Sheila M.

This location is ill-equipped to serve the public with extremely slow, unprofessional staff, who show little concept of customer service. No value at all is placed on the time constraints or on the needs, of the clients unfortunate enough to be directed to this establishment. I was left with the impression that they are either running an elaborate, cash only shake down operation. Or they haven't enough cash flow, to have functional equipment, ie laptop, internet service capable of processing transactions, functional debit machine, functional desktop calculator, safe heating system and most importantly, safe working rental vehicles! The front office could not be more unprofessional. To compare it to a hovel would be an insult to hovels the world over. The owner was driving a vehicle with studded tires that were 3/4 bald with one remaining worn down line of studs, on the interior edge of his tire. His vehicle was clearly out of alignment and absolutely unsafe to drive. The van I was given to drive had spongy brakes, sloppy handling, exhaust leaks to name just a few of the items that provided me the most terrifying driving experience of my life. It was the most unroadworthy vehicle I have driven, in fifty years of driving.Jesse H.

I chose to get the truck at the counter but Nobody was in the store to give me the truck. Someone was sitting in his car he gave me the truck keys and he took a picture of my credit card which I believe is illegal . Nobody was there to receive the truck afterwards. I paid for moving pads since Nobody was there they didn't give me any But I paid for them ! I didn't receive any receipt for what I have been charged ! All in all Poor customer service. Please send me a receipt of what I have been charged for. ThanksPayam F.
