So, when the clerk took me out for the unit it was not in the yard, so she indicated she would change the reservation to a different unit, Not a problem for us, however when she came back, I asked her if I would get a new condition test prompt like I did for the first unit and she said, "No". She said, "She switched the unit, and I was all set to go". We did not have a problem, but if we have to inspect the first unit, which was missing, and do a text reply, then why not the replacement unit? My thought is we were driving a unit with a different plate number, but were to do a damage check on a unit that was not there. Just seemed like a gap in the procedure. Also we had to wait about 20 minutes because of the slow computer.

Kevin M.Our pick up process was the most complicated U-haul pick up I've experienced. The original trailer assigned to us was broken and did not have working lights. It was also located way in the back of the property and was not easily accessible. After the complicated process of hooking it up, it was found that the trailer lights weren't working. Luckily, there was a newer trailer available and we were switched to that model. We had to return back to the far end of the property to then hook that trailer up. This whole process took close to an hour for pick up. If we had been on more a time crunch for our U-haul usage, this would have set us back greatly on our timeline. In the future, it would be nice if this U-haul dealer would have tested the trailer prior to our arrival and have it ready in a more accessible location. The customer service was friendly and the attendants were apologetic for our experience, but it was the lack of prior planning and preparation that created our negative experience.

Andrew M.This survey does not allow me to share my dissatisfaction with the trailer. The interior dimensions of the 12'x 6' trailer are NOT listed accurately. This made a huge difference to us since we measured and plotted out what would fit where and one or two inches made a huge difference. The problem is that the side bumpers and the ceiling reinforcements are not taken into consideration. If we had known the true inside dimensions, we would not have rented the trailer -- we probably would have rented a larger truck. Now we are forced to make a second trip. Not happy.

Donald C.I have zero issues renting a U-Haul from Men From Mars. Great business and fantastic, friendly people. My issue has to do with the app and website. This is the second time, in as many rentals, that when I attempt to complete a return via the app or the website that something went wrong during the transaction. The previous time was for a trailer, where any time I attempted to "share my location" the process would timeout or outright fail. This time, when returning the truck, I was able to navigate through the entire process of returning the truck until I got to the payment screen. I tried paying with the card on file, that failed. I tried re-entering the same card as a new card, that failed. I tried entering an entirely different card, that failed as well. At that point, I gave up and hoped that it will all work out in the morning. Thankfully it did because the folks at Men From Mars took care of it. I have used U-Haul because the process is easy and convenient, most times. However, the past 2 transactions are causing me to rethink my continued use of the products and services. I just want to ensure that I get proper credit for the time of day when I return equipment and that I am paid in full when I use the app or website to complete the return. My only other complaint is related to fuel levels. It is difficult to judge sometimes how much fuel I should be putting into the truck when returning it. This time around I picked the truck up with 7/8 of a tank and ended up returning it 8/8 of a tank because I wanted to ensure that I had enough in there as I would be charged extra for returning it with less fuel. However, it does not appear that any credit is applied when a vehicle is returned with more fuel than I received it with. Given that fuel is more than $3.00/gallon in most places in the US it would only seem fair since I'm already paying per mile to use the truck that some credit could be applied to the rental contract if the vehicle is returned with more fuel than it went out with.

catherine L.Uhaul reservation system is glitzy. Took three contacts to get correct reservation. Showed up for one only to find needed trailer on site but only available for in town. In another case, there was untimely communication between on-line reservation systemand local Uhaul dealer.
