I did not get a phone call from scheduling office in Spokane the day before I was to pick up a trailer.ITT was messed up. The crazy thing was that the distributor in my home town had 2 trailers not being used at his location on the day I needed one for some local work.Lights on nobodies home!!!trent W.

Sent us out on a 20' truck that they never looked at prior to the start of the trip from Hermiston to Henderson Nv. Only made it 30 miles and gas was leaking out of the tank, they covered a hole with tape. Fire department on scene and called u-Haul. They showed up and we had to transfer the entire load from one truck to another bye ourselves. This could have turned into a big deal if the truck caught on fire or exploded. They put my son & granddaughter in danger because they never ever looked at the truck prior to sending it out. Still have not heard back from them yet only took one money. I had a reservation to pick up the trailer on Wednesday @ 4:30. Business hours were until 5 pm. When I arrived at the location for the trailer at 4:32, the office was closed. I called every number I could find and no one ever answered, not even a voice mail box. I called Uhaul and spent an hour on the phone with them trying to help me but they could not get a hold of anyone either and there was no other location in my area with a trailer. I ended up having to pick up the trailer the next day. My daughter and her spouse are military and were being relocated to Spokane. She had to report on Thursday morning and I had all of their stuff at my house. They ended up sleeping on the floor of their apartment with the few blankets they had with them becasue of this issue. I went the next day to pick up the trailer. The location opened at 9 am. I called to make sure they were open and still had my trailer and the gentleman that answered the phone was very irritated and real pleasant. When I arrived at the location to pick up the trailer, the only person there was helping another customer so I patiently waited my turn. As the owner was finishing up with the first customer another customer arrived. This customer walked up and stood behind me. The owner looked at the customers that got there after me and said come on up, I will help you guys first. I was fuming at this point. I spoke up and requested to be helped first and after a few mutterings from the owner, he finally helped me. This was the worst experience I have ever had obtaining a uhaul trailer. I would not recommend this location to anyone. In fact, I strongly recommend to NEVER UTILIZE this location for anything!!!Erlinda W.

As of today I have not received a call and the extra charge for renting the trailer is still on my card. The uhaul was not full of gas when picked up. We filled uhaul when dropping off which was 50.00 and still got charged 7 something for mileage.Michelle K.

The pick-up place was very sketchy. The right side mirror was broken and would not stay in place, my brother had to Gorilla tape it to stay in place. I had rented a dozen blankets and rescued 10 dirty ones. Had trouble with the seat belt and the shifter was hard to move. Terrible experience overall.Lynn O.

At no fault of the dealer, this pickup was a disaster and extremely stressful. I reserved a trailer a couple of days ahead of time, and when we came to pick it up, they didn't have it on site. I called the other dealer in town, they didn't have the right one, either. We had already driven 20 minutes out of our way because online said this was the closest location to have what we needed. I ended up having to downgrade my rental, which was a pretty large inconvenience for us. The whole ordeal put us way behind schedule and kind of ruined my plans for the day. This is not the first time I've had this happen, and because of this situation being more than a one time fluke, I will no longer be using uhaul for my trailer/moving truck needs. The gentlemen at melody muffler was the only saving grace through the experience. He helped us with the new order, and assisted loading. 10/10 recommend that dude in particular, but I'm fed up with uhaul. If I knew how to get a refund, I'd be doing it, because the experience was incredibly stressful and inconvenient, the opposite of what ya'll are suppose to be.KENNA MICHELLE R.

Actually let them rent the truck that they reserved and had a confirmation email from. The truck was in the lot, and I was refused the truck. He did offer to rent me a bigger truck for more money, while keeping the money from the 1st truck. This was a horrible experience and everyone I know will hear about the lack of customer service and actual stupidity involved with this transaction.Steve R.

The people at the location were helpful and friendly. I don't hold them responsible for the truck problems. It had issues wandering at highway speeds and it wasn't loaded anywhere near capacity and it didn't matter if it was full or almost empty. The front tires had wear patterns suggesting alignment, tire, or some kind of suspension problems. One of the rear outside duals had the same wear, so it must have been a front tire and was moved to the rear. It should be taken out of service until the problem is repaired. The rest of the truck was fine, It ran very well, loaded or unloaded, brakes were fine, A/C worked, radio worked. The only negative was the front end. Probably no one caught it before because they aren't used to driving trucks and assumed it was normal.The tire wear says otherwise.ROBERT FRANCIS T.

You didn't ask the right questions- I "reserved" a truck from a location in Richland WA at 7am for pick-up, only to find the day before that I could NOT get the truck until 3:30pm. I reserved it for 7am because I knew packing would take ALL DAY. I asked about the "reservation" only to find thats not really what it is and the only available truck of my size wasn't available until 3:30pm. So just what good does it do a CUSTOMER, to "RESERVE" a truck, if you are not going to have one available? I ended up having to drive to Hermiston the day before, to get the needed size of truck. Inconvenient as I was on a timeline with a cross country move, not to mention the extra gas to drive it back to where I needed to pack. Your prices have gone thru the roof too! $2600 for a one way move?? But what choice do people have? You know this, that's why you jack up the prices- those of us that need it, have to pay. You did the same thing to me at my destination with storage units, was going to store at the return facility, "reserved" two units, only to find the same thing, its not really a reservation. So I again had to scramble to find storage at my destination. That doesn't work well for people who are moving cross-country! I can't just hit the road with an entire household and just hope to find storage when I get there. How then would a person, a few weeks out from a move, ever rent your storage? You didn't give me the option to pay as soon as I "reserved" the units, so my assumption was my "reservation" would hold the units until I got there. You definitely DO NOT work well for those moving long distances. Next time I will not even consider U-Haul for my needs. Also will convey to friends and family how your services really work (or more accurately) don't work. I know you don't care- you probably don't read the comments, you already have your money and people still need your service. The location I picked up the truck at- the man was quite friendly and I was out of there in under 30 minutes, thank god he knew what he was doing.CHERYL N.

I originally ordered my uhaul to pick up in Pendleton. The day before my scheduled pickup I received a call telling me to pick the truck up in Hermiston, 30 miles away from Pendleton. Got charged for those extra 30 miles too. I had to arrange for a ride, spend extra money for gas and pay for the extra 30 miles. Really bad service.Kelly O.

The inside of the trailer was dirty/not spot out. I rented on line and someone else had to pick it up but you didn't charge the card I used online to reserve it. You made the person who picked it up pay. What was the point of putting in credit card to reserve if you charged it nothing either before or when it was picked up?CRAIG D.

I was supposed to have a truck in Pendleton OR, they had no truck for me and I was instructed to drive to Hermiston OR for it and they did not have a truck either. The trailer was supposed to be ready to picked up at 9:00 am. I arrived at that time and was told the trailer wasn't there and I should get a cup of coffee somewhere and come back later. I told the person that I had reserved a 4 x 8 trailer and he was totally unaware of it. I came back at 10:00 and still no trailer. A little later, another customer returned a 4 x 8 trailer and that was the only 8 foot trailer on the lot. I went through the rental process and he was in a big hurry to get me out of there. He forgot to give me the 10 moving blankets that I had rented and i had to make another trip back to pick those up. It was definitely not a pleasant experience. The equipment was fine, but the process left much to be desired.FLOYD S.

I hate your electronic return system. I needed to enable location services on my device. I hate doing that. I hate your threat to charge $20 to not use the electronic service. The kid who filled out the contract at melody muffler made a type o mistake and said.i wanted the truck to go from imbler to Elgin 6 miles and charged me 400 dollars for 1/2 a day in my on-line application says I needed the truck to go from imbler to enterprise for 1/2 day I turned in the truck on time and ful of fuel and even after I straightened this out between melody muffler and DJ auto today DJ auto tried to bill me for 84 dollars more and it states clearly in my on-line contact I wanted the truck for 1/2 a day from imbler to enterprise please straighten this outEdward M.
