KENNETH ALAN BROOKSThe truck was dirty in the back and inside the truck but the service was great. However, when I booked the truck I booked a 15 ft truck for $29.99 and when I arrived they did not have that size and said the agent rebooked the truck at a 20 ft truck and the price changed to $39.99. And then never called me to explain the changes. The person I dealt with at the Uhual place was understanding and made the reservation correct.
Kim BrownThe online pickup process through the app needs improvement. The entire pickup process took about 40 minutes. Far too long. The app would not focus properly on the front driver's license. I repeatedly tried to take a picture but it would not focus. This is not a phone camera issue because other apps like banking are able auto-focus successfully. When I tried to chat for assistance, no one responded. The app showed "AWAITING APPROVAL" for about 20 minutes. When I was approved, the app asked me to locate the vehicle with a "number on the left side." The issue is that left could mean facing the vehicle or in the driver's seat. Furthermore, there are so many graphics on the vehicle and the numbers were small so it was not easily apparent. The app should show a graphic of the vehicle pointing or circling the numbers of where to look on the vehicle. I was finally able to reach a phone customer representative and she was very courteous and helpful. She instructed me to go inside the gas station and pickup the key. The attendant at the gas station told me the key is in the vehicle. But the vehicle was locked. I had him speak directly to the Uhaul phone representative and the attendant finally gave me the key. Very frustrating process. The vehicle's side mirrors could not be adjusted. You need an allen wrench key in order to move the mirrors. This is very inconvenient and dangerous for the driver.

I finally just went in gas station and asked and he said yes he handles it. I lost an hour of truck time. It was ridiculous. Then there was garbage in back of truck and blankets thrown everywhere. Also guy said he didn’t have furniture dolly which I requested. However there ended up being one in back of truck. It was not a good experience

Patricia WilsonI rented a truck in a reasonable time. Sales rep was great. Truck was clean. I only had the truck for about an hour. Issue came when I returned the truck. Even though I filled gas when I returned the truck to the required line, they still deducted money from me to pump gas. I had to call uhaul customer service to get my refund. Poor service.

Richard GrantI called the 800 number to rent a cargo van only! The representative told me the closest location and booked me. I went to pick it up and was told that they didn't carry cargo vans, and that I was given a upgrade at no charge to a truck. I did not want the truck. If you request and book a vehicle please don't take it upon yourself to make changes for someone else. Uhaul you made my day difficult and stressful. I originally needed it overnight, bit returned it in a few hours before I needed a cargo van!!!

UHaul rep at location had poor English language skills, hard to communicate at truck return. Will not use this location again in future.
Jeffrey SmithI rented 3 separate vehicles over the last few days. The first two vehicles kept breaking down while in transit. The vehicles would just turn off. After several attempts to restart the vehicle. It would start again. I’m not too happy with this as it put me behind on my move by two days. We had to go back and return two vehicles.

ELLYCE MASONThe van service was satisfactory, but there was a problem with the movers. It could be due to one of two reasons which are unclear to me. The third-party Friendly Movers only loaded my items and refused to go with me to unload in the next location. This could be for either of the below reasons. Both are fixable by U-Haul. 1. The U-Haul employee failed to book my service correctly. I asked and explicitly explained in detail that I needed movers to load my items to the U-Haul van at location A AND unload my items at location B. I provided both addresses clearly, told her multiple times to confirm that I needed loading AND unloading service, and despite repeating to me my order, she booked incorrectly. OR 2. The third-party Friendly Movers are crooks. They loaded the U-Haul van and then started arguing with me that they were only booked and paid for loading service and NOT unloading. The confirmation text I received from U-Haul for the moving service said "hired for loading/unloading" and these two men argued that the "/" represented "or" and not "and". They were very adamant on not completing the service. It caused me massive discomfort to unload all my items myself and I feel that I have been looted. I paid these crooks for 2 hours of labor which is the minimum they can be booked for and they made a run for it after 10 minutes of loading the van with my items and not completing the service by unloading at the next location. In the moment, I could not say or do anything, how can I alone control two men arguing against me, so I let them go. I would not keep these unprofessional young men who do not wish to work as a contractor. They do not care about working, providing a service, or caring for a customer. I had withdrawn cash from the bank to give them tips after their service, which of course I did not give after receiving such a terrible experience. That being said, I would like to argue for a discount on my moving service fee (not the U-Haul van rent) and I recommend that U-Haul withhold any fees "owed" to the third-party Friendly Movers for this order. They were grossly unprofessional. I would never recommend U-Haul for the reason that your company may in the future use them as a third-party and cause so much discomfort to the customer because they did not provide the service they were booked for. If this was a fault on behalf of the U-Haul representative, I would still like to argue for a discount. Why did your employee fail on such a fundamental level in booking my order? Kindly shed light on the interpretation of the wording of your order i.e. What does "loading/unloading" mean? Does it mean only loading or only unloading or does it mean BOTH loading and unloading? These men have exploited this loophole and they will continue to do this and ruin the experiences of other U-Haul customers and tarnish your reputation along with theirs and take you down with them. I would like to speak on the phone with a U-Haul representative. I have used U-Haul for all my moving needs and have had very pleasant experiences in the past (even with the other third-party movers in the past) and I want more in the future, so I believe this is an anomaly and I wish to help you fix it. Keshav RaizadaThe vehicle I was given had a faulty ignition switch, meaning it was a miracle that I could start it after roughly five minutes of trying. After I returned the vehicle, this Uhaul location charged my card extra without authorization after I left- also known as fraud. My total bill was $52.79. After I returned the vehicle, freshly filled with gas, this location charged me an additional $11.54. This is completely unacceptable and I will be reporting this transaction as fraud.

Laurie TrappBeing new to the area I was not familiar with local U-Haul locations. I booked online and didn't realize this was just a pickup site not an actual store. When we opened the back end there was potting dirt all over and smelled. We cleaned it out and moved our stuff. Honestly I didn't even notice the grill on the front was cracked until mid day. I know I didn't hit anything while we had it but we are still being charged of course. This would have likely been noticed earlier if not for the stupid pickup hassle.
