The whole pickup ordeal was a JOKE! I reserved a trailer 3 weeks prior to my need, we got to the so called u-haul in Auburn, Ca, there they had No record of my reservation, u-haul called me and I have a confirmed pickup in Lincoln, Ca. Which is 40 miles back down Hwy. 80, As I was driving there they called me trailer will be day late, so on to Fair Oaks ,Ca got my trailer there! This cost me an extra 120 miles and time!!! Make sure rentals are where they are supposed to be!

Have rented here 3/4 times this year. The rental place is near by, so that is our first choice when looking for a rental. The gentleman doing the renting is pleasant and knowledgeable.. Have had no problems with any of the trucks. Returned them as we found them.

The key was jammed in the lockbox, spent nearly 20 minutes trying to pry it out until we somehow finally managed. Got in the uhaul and it instantly smelt like cigarettes. Drove it a bit and heard something sliding around in the back and pulled over and saw the floor dolly was not properly secured. Terrible experience.

Return of Equipmentd: Did NOT get a receipt at all! Couldn't check in after hours as I had to do it ONLY from my phone!. I don't know specifically what I was charged! This is a very POOR way to run things if you're doing them online!

Stop reserving truck that you don't have available for people trying to move out of state. I made reservations back in Nov. 2020 for a truck a month ahead of scheduled date to leave and when I went to pick it up, it was nowhere to be found and you didn't even record my reservation into your planner to have it. You gave my truck away to somebody else who reserved it and then was over 2 hours late to get it. I went with Penske because they will actually guarantee you a truck and was able to get one same day to load and leave. The heightened cost to me was worth not having the hassle of dealing with your company, as it's the most extreme form of incompetence I've ever witnessed and probably will ever witness in the remainder of my years on this planet. If you don't have a truck, don't book reservations. It's not like you'll get the customers money anyways if you can't provide your service to them in the first place, so what's the point? Do better or close your doors.

I have not used Maks before. However, I would use again! Location was convenient and pick up/drop off was super easy. No lines as with some of the other u-haul locations.

After declining CDW coverage I was charged $420 for it anyway. After discovering this on the emailed receipt I went back in and was told it was removed. Upon return of the vehicle I was still charged the $420 and the owner said he can't help me. I have disputed the charge with the credit card company.

The trailer Auto Transport i rented was clean and maintained, drove behind me like it wasn't there. Great customer service and would recommend to everybody! They even call before pickup to let you know things are ready and after you bring back to see how everything went Thank you very much...

I again asked for a receipt at this place, and received a receipt with $0.00 as the charge. UHaul really needs to hire some IT help that knows what they're doing. Also, I had to unhook the trailer completely by myself. No big deal, but that's not how a first-class rental business should be run. Plus, this survey stinks. "Yes," "no," and "not applicable" are the only options. What about "somewhat," or "partially"? Service is always a range, not "yes" or "no."

The gentlemen who helped finish the rental process on our truck barely understood how to complete the process. I had a utility dolly on my rental and did not recieve it with the truck. I was still charged the 7 dollars for the rental of the dolly

To register/reserve the vehicle online due to COVID-19 Maks made the rental process the fastest I've ever had renting with Uhaul. Everything was really good. Only needed it for 3 hours hours. Hate I had to pay for mileage as it took the $19 to $74 not including filling it up. But other than that excellent service by Maks. I highly recommend them.

Check the Tire Pressers. One Tire was low. And the truck AC was working in park. But If you went up a hill the AC and fresh Air would shut off. I did report these concerns to MAKS Smog and U-Haul. They just did not know of the trouble.

This location was out of the way. I picked a different location and U-Haul changed my location. This caused me to go over the mileage. And they also changed my time from 10am to 3pm. The truck did not show up until 2:45. So they didn't clean the truck.

1. We needed to keep the truck for one additional day beyond what we originally contracted. Mak's was very flexible and accommodating! 2. This is a general recommendation for ALL U-Haul dealers. Always inform customers immediately about U-Haul's on-line self-check-in app procedure--which could be quite challenging for some--if they return the truck after business hours or on a non-business day. (Mak's DID inform us about it.)

I had to sweep out dirt and leaves from the trailer. The previous renter nor the U-Haul facility cleaned it out. I filled two dust pans with dirt and leaves. The mechanic loaned me the broom and dustpan.

This location was the only reason for any good reviews. I made a reservation online for a location literally across the street from me. A day later I get notification that it got moved to wills road location. Today, the day of pickup I receive a email it got moved again, only this time to a location way out of my way. This made me late for my appointment with my car. Then I was told I must take it back to this location and not one convenient for me after all of my inconvenience. It's just sad to know that I couldn't get at least one break through all of the rescheduling etc. I'm very disappointed to say the least.
