The Belding store absolutely saved me! The Ionia store had only a broken truck and did not let me know this truck could not be rented. Belding stepped up at the last moment and provided a nice truck. I did have to drive quite a distance extra and I had to make quite a lot of phone calls to get the help I needed. I could never recommend U-Haul ever because they let me down and did not let me know that they would not have a truck for me. I rented this truck June 3rd, two months ago! They gave me a discount, but I had to pay people to drive extra far and it took a lot of extra time. It was definitely a bad experience, saved only by the Belding U-Haul and Helping Hands Movers. Thank goodness I called the evening before to check. I would not have known until I got there the morning of moving day. The gentleman at Ionia did not care, did not apologize, although he did offer to not charge me for the truck he did not provide. I did not need a discount, I needed a truck!

facility closed when trailer returned, no agents available. They could not have counted 12 blankets as there were only 10. shows return date on day later than actual as well (which was when the store opened, I presume). Need a refund on the blankets

We were scheduled to pick up in Greenville MI. The day before, we were told that that location was going to be closed. We had to drive further and Belding location didn’t open until 10:00am. All of this was inconvenient. We were given an extra 50 miles compensation but, I really didn’t think that was enough. Time and gas were important factors. This location was nice but not what we signed up for.

Charged for gas after I had gotten and filled back up to just under half. Charged for cleaning when there was no debris left in the truck. I have used Uhaul for all 5 of my moved and this is the Only time I've ever felt ripped off.

We didn't realize the plug on the trailer had a boat plug and we had to go buy an adapter to fit our truck and plug in to the trailer. After we bought that adapter everything was fine.

I reserved my Uhaul to get picked up at noon. We got to the location at 11:50am and it was locked, the sign said open 10am-6pm. We waited till 1pm before anyone showed up. The girl was then very rude (her name was Ashley). We got our Uhaul to our home and opened it, we then found a huge hole in the middle of the floor. It was marked with a worn yellow X but my husband still cut his foot on it. We replaced the gas and returned it at 5:45 (surprise the store was closed). We left the keys in the drop box and left. We woke up today to see we were charged ANOTHER $25 for the Uhaul because they claim they had to put 4 gallons of gas in it (We returned it with 7/8 of a tank, almost full and exactly how it was when we got it). This has been my WORST experience renting a Uhaul. I am beyond dissatisfied.

Very friendly staff! She did everything she could to rectify the situation. She was told there was nothing anyone could, or was willing to do, outside the area to rectify our poor rental experience and the fact that the truck was in poor working condition. I appreciate them going above and beyond, too bad U-Haul doesn't have the same morals as this location!!!

We had trouble with a uhaul place on alpine in Grand Rapids with our u boxes and these kind loving people in Belding came to our rescue. We had to get a truck unload our boxes at the home where moving out of town the truck because alpine office told me it's gonna cost me more to have our stuff to a new home I was never told any of this .thank you M44 lock, store you guys are our angels

The folks at the Belding location were wonderful. We were supposed to pick our 26' truck up at the Stanton location. When we arrived,to store that was supposed to be open at 10:00am and was obviously unoccupied at 10:20am, prompted us to call the number on the door. We were greeted by a very adamant individual who kept yelling "does it look like a truck is out there?" He further went on saying that "he gave the truck away yesterday and had no record of me." He "could come by, but it would take him 20 minutes or more to get there." Fortunately the U haul general number was answered by Julie who was wonderful in getting us set up at the Belding location. Whoever is running the Stanton location is an embarisment to your brand.

Lower the mileage rate that would help

I wanted a van, sad about that, last minute though. I do not care for the Belding location, 1st call "no trucks available" but there were trucks parked at the location all weekend, 2nd call "no trucks at this location, can p/up at " Plainfield location" , too far, trucks at Belding location all weekend, 3rd call to Greenville location, perfect!, 4th call to Greenville location "no vans, truck at Belding or Plainfield", CSR at Belding location answered my son who asked about being late," we aren't open again until Tuesday, I'm not going to check and see if the truck is back til Tuesday. Bill came via email, extra charges; days and insurance, and the price you charge for gas on top of mileage? Wow, what a turn around! I spent over $700. moving with your company in the last 2 weeks. Is that a sales technique?

I was charged a cleaning fee and the truck was not that dirty. It was a little dirty and I was planning on washing it but could not find a car wash that the truck would fit in as well as return the truck on time. Thought the fee was a little expensive!

The truck did not run very well I called you all because it was low on coolant I was stuck and nobo I was stuck and nobody would help at Uhaul I don I don't know if I'll ever go through you all again
