Better customer service they cancelled our order on truck rental we found out when we we went into see if they could change truck size guy said there was no booking but we had a confirmation number on the truck we did get a truck but a hassle they are rude and they didn't even have the paper to wrap your dishes said they didn't even sell it need to get there act together. Next time I'm not going there. Don't talk English, check engine light was on, filthy, their friends kept coming in and they kept serving them and I had to wait, overall brutal service. Shouldn't be able to charge for service like that.COREY J.

The merchant spent a lot of time conversing in another language with his employees. It wasn't very respectful. It also took 50 minutes to arrange the paperwork, and I was billed from 8 am, not from 9 am when I received the truck. I was also under the impression that I was to get so many kms per day, but I was charged my full trip on top of the flat daily rate.Eric C.
Mel Flores 1 review 2 hours ago NEW We rented the u-haul in Summerside for three days. Customer service is very poor the owner there is rude and aggressive and as his family who works there as well are rude . The experience was appalling as we entered in the building and first they say move your car. We told them we will be leaving just here to pay for the u-haul . It was not busy at all , so we waited , then he said sit down but rude . I told him no it's okay I will stand . Then a car came in to pump then he points out upset saying â€œ you seeâ€ move your car, but very aggressive. So, my husband asked me to move the car so I said okay , once I get in I am looking for my keys, I hear my husband yelling for my name I looked over and the owner was in my husband face , bc my husband said to him that he was rude how was asking me to move the vehicle. So the owner didn't like that . Once I got inside the building the Owner was standing at the front entrance has back towards the door and the his bother in-law at the other door then they both locked the doors holding us confinement we couldn't leave â€¦ which was very confusing my husband was trying to pay and that is how aggressive this company is and how they treat people . We had to call the police bc they were holding us locked door, that is very scary situation. Police came took everyone name And statement . The sad part is when they denied for locking us in the building. My husband told them you are wasting the police time coming over here , when all we wanted to do is pay for the u-haul . They shouldn't be running U-haul services at all . They try to get you for everything. We will not be using there services in Summerside and I will let everyone and friends not to use their services.Douglas H.

The rental part was fine, I just don't appreciate having to drive through mud to get to the trailer, wash the truck after, and have you wash my truck again 3hrs later after I return it in the mud.DANIEL R.

The truck was not clean and swept out. I was scheduled to pick up the truck on Monday May 22 at 9am, I was told they wouldn't open until 10 am, I went there and there was nobody there. I went by again at 11:30 and still nobody there, I called at 1 pl and FINALLY got someone on the phone. When I returned the truck Friday May 26th it took 3 of them to to get it returned. I was also told it would be $42 and change for the gas, which when we picked it up there was 3/8 of a tank and when I returned it there was 1/4 of a tank. And since Lockhart's gas is pumped by them only I couldn't put the $15 worth of gas in it. I would not like to rent a truck from there EVER againGary B.

Lockhart's has gone down hill. I use to never have an issue with U-Haul there. Now it's impossible to make sense of the easiest things. Equipment issues and they fight saying it's not their equipment. Force you into other equipment and try to charge you for more then what you had , keep your deposit. A truly terrible experience and definitely won't be back to Lockhart's for U-Haul . I'll drive an hour if I have to , to get U-Haul equipment from now on .Jeremiah H.

The some of the back tires were bald and the truck handled poorly due to ???? WOrn front end parts Bad tires? The truck clearly wasn't fit to be rented. But nothing else was available so I had no choice. Perhaps you could address thisBlair E.

The truck size we asked for was not available, so we had a much smaller truck then expected. Because of the small truck size, we had to make more trips, which cost us more in gas. There was a half smoked joint on the dash of the truck, which made us nervous if we were stopped by the police. The back of the truck reaked of oil. When we took possession of the truck, the gaz was completely empty and the "empty" light was flashing. We booked a dolly which we really needed, but they didn't have any. Customer service/etiquette needs to be improved. The man was very â€œsaltyâ€ to me because he did not want the trailer to leave PEI. Made me feel guilty that I was taken the trailer off the island. He hooked me up and sent me on my way - without even checking the lights - felt rushed. When I returned it to Dartmouth they said there was a wire broke for the lights. I guess I had no lights from PEi to Dartmouth. The trailer was supposed to be available in Charlottetown BUT had to drive to Summerside to pick up.Brian G.
When I booked the truck I had said 1 bedroom apartment. When the truck was picked up what was booked for me would possibly hold a dorm room. They did supply us with a bigger truck for the same cost but it was in such bad repair that I was scared for my son to drive it. The brake light indicator light was on. The truck wouldn't stay between the lines,it kept pulling hard to the right. It was a horrible drive from PEI to NB. When we returned the truck these issues were told to the staff in the Moncton location and the ready didn't seem to careColleen P.

The truck was very dirty inside and very noisy. You couldn't hear your partner speak It was like you were in a wind storm. Even if they would of sweep the mud from the floor might of helped or took a cloth and wiped the interior down I don't think it was wiped down for covid for sure We have used uhaul many other times and the trucks and vans were clean. Guess you win some and lose some and this was a big loseCalvin M.
