It wasn't dirty but it wasn't really really clean. The inside was OK but the outside could really use a good scrubbing. The windshield wipers need replacing and there was no windshield wiper fluid. Scott, the gentleman that helped me rent it was very knowledgeable and awesome. I would highly recommend getting a U-Haul from this place. Just think maybe you could hire somebody to clean the trucks on the inside and the outside. I am just a really clean person and like stuff perfect ðŸ'TAMMI P.

Scott was nice and accomodating. We adjusted the bill, but when I arrived in Colorado, it was still wrong. The truck was just OK, a little worn, 30k miles. The driver's seat sank which made it uncomfortable for the long drive. The dolly was trash except for the tires. It was very difficult to use the ratchets. The fenders had holes worn in on both sides and was beat up. The trailer itself was old and rusty. It NEVER should have been allowed to be used, let alone go out of State. It should be taken out of service. I suppose it was one way to keep nicer equipment in CA. But I as the customer suffered for it.MICHAEL H.

I had no issues with the person or location at Doheney, what I was not happy with was I received a phone call from someone that confirmed my reservation for pick up at the location by my house in Oceanside, then I received a call from the Doheny location which is 45 minutes away from my house in Capistrano Beach, so I was confused and called back the person I spoke with from the Oceanside location and the RECONFIRMED that my reservation was ready and available at the Oceanside location. So I called Doheny and canceled with them explaining that I didn't know why they had me for pickup as A) they weren't local to me and B) I had confirmed with someone else at my local location of choice. The morning of the pickup I went in to my local location and they DID NOT have a truck for me.they said they could see me in the system, and see that I was slated to pick up there, but they say they never received a call to have the truck ready. So I had to call Doheny and fortunately, they still had the truck and I was able to go there and get it. The people I spoke with in both locations were very helpful and understanding, but whoever called me the day prior to confirm the reservation really screwed me up. I don't know if you guys use a remote confirmation system where people who aren't physically present at the locations call customers to confirm, but whoever I spoke with needs to take the training again, of the Capistrano beach location didn't have my truck that morning I would have been really up a creek as I had people helpings me move and a schedule for departure and arrival at my new residence and that would have all been for nothing if I couldn't have gotten the truck that day.Wesley S.

Clean the windshield before it's taken as a new rental. Also, guy who took my keys to check the mileage and gas decided to take his sweet time and park the van in a super small spot that took what seemed like was for everyone and I left. Never saw the final breakdown. He should have checked the gas and mileage and come back to me before parking there van as the place was empty and no other patrons were there. The app would not allow me to take a picture on the option to check the fuel level! I tried many times but no luck. That little failure only works to the advantage of UHaul! I put enough gas into the Truck to bring it back to the level it was before. You charged me $44 for SEVEN gallons. That is immoral!Omid P.

Your electronic return system on Sundays sucks. its not user friendly and a waste of time. in my opinion it set up just to take advantage of people that dont know how to use it and offensive to take an additional $20.00 from a customer. The mobile check in was a shit show. The system did not work well and we tried to switch to using an alternate method where the store operator checked me in. Apparently since I already opted for mobile it created more problems. The ordeal ended up making me late for my scheduled appointment despite being several minutes early for my scheduled truck pick up. Needlessly stressful experience all around.DANIEL B.

Not only was the truck filthy, they charged me for scratches that were already there. Then said â€œwell, you had the option on the app to take pictures, did you take pictures?â€ There was no where to enter the pics. These people should not have the uhaul name, never experienced this before. I was moving a mattress, nothing that could possible scratch the truck. Bad business.SHANE T.

The gentleman that helped me was frustrated not necessarily at me but appeared to be very busy with no-one to help him. I apparently ordered a truck that did not have a ramp which I needed and he made me feel as I should know what trucks have ramps. This was my 1st time ordering a uhaul truck. Tried 1st to do it by phone but had to wait to long on the phone. Returning the truck was a disaster. when called the location to check hours they said they would be open. When we got there they were closed. When trying to check in through the app, couldn't get past the part where we were to show our location. Waited 35-40 minutes to be helped, only to be hung up on. Waited another 23-40 minutes had a lovely person help us. I believe her name was Emily from the corporate office that walked me through it. We did get stopped on the odometer reading as it wouldn't let me past that point so Emily took notes and closed my file. My overall rating of usual experience is a d-.charles G.

I was charged an overnight fee, but returned the vehicle on time. The app didn't let me know I had to take photos of the mileage first before I returned the keys. I feel like I should be refunded the overnight fee. Customer service is hard to get ahold of.Jacob M.
