Very rude customer service, and truck was not fully gassed when I got it. It also had zip ties holding the windshield wipers together. Ashley at the LM location was rude, and said she was going to â€œlieâ€ for me, when I had nothing to lie about. Only photos and facts.Andrew A.

Trailer ratchet mechanisms were rusted and did not function correctly. Office was dirty and representative was inappropriate with her speech. Office computer was not functioning correctly, so I had to stand outside in the cold so she could get her phone to bring up the order while she had her smoke break.Todd H.

I made my reservation at another location but they did not have the truck I reserved set up for online check out so I had to drive farther to pick up the truck. I live in Chapin and reserved a truck in Chapin and was notified the evening before I had to move locations...which is stressful when I had done everything ahead of time to be prepared for my move. I was told I would get a $50 credit and a mileage credit but have yet to see any of that credit in my bank acct and had to email again today to inquire about that. It shouldn't be this difficult to rent a truck to move.TAMMY C.

Scheduled to pick up at midnight and when driving to location to pick up truck it was so dark that i missed the driveway for the building. Would recommend that if the location is doing night pick up's that there location have proper lighting.Megan D.

Lake Murray Self Storage was chosen because it has a 24 hour drop off. Unfortunately the location is unlit at night and the drop off area is poorly designated. Had to drop off the truck in the dark out behind the office. A light on the road sign and drop off locations would go far towards making this location acceptable.Kim J.
Owner went out of his way to accept the return of the truck -- saving me about a 20 mile trip to a different location. I am very grateful you have such helpful people working with U-Haul. Thanks and highly recommended!Samuel M.
I was called on the way to pick up my U-Haul and told that it wasn't available. I was then sent to a different location 10 minutes farther away. I was told I wouldn't be charged for the additional mileage. Not sure if I was or not because no one ever reached out to me. I was also told I'd get a $50 refund due to the truck guarantee and the truck not being available. When I got to the location we could not access the truck. The person on the phone insisted it was an issue with my phone...an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Literally the best iPhone you can get. It was not an issue with my phone. It was an issue with the system. I told her it may work if they deleted the reservation and made a new one. She said okay but instead of doing that for me, she transferred me to an automated machine to create a new reservation. I ended up using the app on my phone at the location to create a new reservation. Once the reservation was made, I got a confirmation showing the truck was due at 2 am that morning, despite the fact that I had requested the truck for two days. So I had to call AGAIN to get it straightened out. Horrible horrible experience.Ricky B.

The site is a rundown outdated â€œstorageâ€ facility. The person in charge couldn't care less about his business and the equipment was unkept and ill maintained. We weren't given the equipment we were confirmed, and no safety checks and or routine inspections were completed.KYLE A.
