I was late picking up the vehicle that I booked for the entire day, and two separate representatives told me off for being late (as if it matters when I have the booking for the entire day). Both were incredibly rude and condescending. I will never rent from this location again, and it's unlikely I'll use U-Haul again based on this experience.

I had picked Pickering for my Pick up location. A few days prior I get a call to pick up in Lindsay. I was on speaker for with my daughter who agreed with what I'm about to say. Your customer service rep was rude! Told me that in the "fine print" I would be told where to pick up. An hour away!!! I was told I could get an uber and a discount for $60. Uber is over $100 to get to this location. It didn't cover the time and expense to get help to pick up this truck! We thought about moving to the weekday for pick up and I was told there would be no guarantee of pick up location as well. The customer rep said to me "I didn't say that!!!" really rude, I said in other words "you can't guarantee where would pick it up on another day". Honestly - your customer service person was really really RUDE! When I went to pick up the truck it was hard to find the person to move their auto's. He double parked in front of the truck and we were running around for at least 20 mins to find the person so I could leave your lot! Not well organized! Very poor experience all around. The pick up person who gave us the keys for the van was great.

The truck itself was all dinged up/scratched/marked on pickup (it even shows this in the pictures Uhaul provided when I picked up the truck) yet when we returned it to Kwick Stop Esso in Lindsay, the manager tried to say it had new dings/scrapes/damage which were already there! He literally kept me on the phone for over 15 minutes – and kept insisting that the conversation would be better to have in person so could I leave work and come down to the Quickstop Esso to look at the damage (tiny, preexisting scrapes/dings) and confirm that I hadn't done it (I hadn't). All this – despite him witnessing me park the truck immaculately into the weirdest, tight space arrangement of 3 Uhaul trucks which I was to “pull in as close as possible but perpendicular to” as instructed by him the night before. Absolutely ridiculous. DO BETTER, Uhaul. People are counting on you.

I was charged a $25 cleaning fee for a piece of dirt in the back of a truck. I would think that during Covid the truck would be swept out by an employee anyways. I was truly disappointed

We were shocked to find that the cube van did not have a ramp to walk into the back of the van. We were moving heavy furniture and this made the job much more difficult. Every other time I've rented a cube van it has come with a ramp. This was very disappointing.

This location had a lot of UHaul vans in the yard (no ones fault) but having the largest truck 26', I couldn't find a place to park it. The agent was willing to do that for me, so thank you. Excellent experience all around. Thank you

Please have the gas tank full of gas not 3/4 full so there is no question on how much gas is required on return. Having a 3/4 full gas tank at pick up leaves the customer with having to guess on how much to put in on return.

First off have an associate at the rental location to assist customers. The staff at this place could care a less. All they want is your money.I will never use this place again, shop for gas here or use the car wash. I refuse to support local business who cannot run a business properly.

Maybe increase the level of maintenance for the big trucks. The one we rented had lousy brakes, a huge dead spot in he steering, the transmission would not shift higher than 3rd gear, every time we had to start the truck it had to be boosted as the battery was dead, oh and the radio didn't work. Not kidding. However we got the move done and the truck was returned with no incidents despite everything else.

This location needs a dedicated u haul check in counter...takes way to long to check in and out as the staff are also trying to look after a very busy gas station car wash and store.

The clerk could not give us a close drop off spot (said the computer wouldn't bring it up and the one she assigned us was really far from where we were moving to. Also we were told to call and just change out location for drop off that it wouldn't be a problem.- after being on hold for 1 hour trying to change our drop off,......the lady said it would be no problem a spot really close to us she put us on hold to change it for us - 25 min later another operator came on to find out what we wanted and said we could not change our drop off - basically to bad not happy and probably wont us UHaul again - there are to many people out there who have better service and phone etiquette.

The gas tank was below 1/4 tank. I don't understand how every Uhaul truck being rented doesn't go out with a full tank. If you charge a customer to fill the gas tank if the truck is returned with less than a full tank then all trucks should have a full tank, correct? Heading out on a 3 1/2 hour drive with less than 80 km of gas is a big inconvenience and then when you're trying to figure out how much gas will be needed to bring it back to the arbitrary level is another unnecessary pain.

The owner was fantastic. Very kind and considerate. My issue was with the person who ran in before me. Not organized at all !! Did not have the correct information ect for them to work with. He caused us a 40 min delay. No fault of the owner. Please request people come prepared before especially with Covid-19 !!! And wear a mask !!!!🤬 The owner was very kind and helpful.

I had a booking scheduled for 6.30 PM which was changed to 5.30PM without my confirmation which i changed back to 6.30PM. And when i reached the location for the pick up which was 120 Kms away from the original pick up location, i had to wait for 45 mins to get the truck and this delay was due to mis-communication from Uhual. Very bad service by Uhaul and will surely look for other options next time.

Was told I didn't need to come back in office after dropping trailer in yard because I pre paid. Was charged for extra day even though I had for less than a day. Was called and emailed and told it was my fault for not finalizing bill even though I was told not to. Every time I rent from u haul I have to go out of my way to pickup units.

Very unorganized..3X I told them my reservation was for 9am! 2 days before move they called to confirm 3pm!! At pick up, guy wasnt there so had to do it over phone..told him also someone else was bringing truck back could gas be put on credit card I gave them..was told YES..mover calls me after he gassed it up and said that couldnt be put on credit card..had to transfer $ to him!!! Just ridiculous!!! Never again!!!

Unorganized I waited 30 min. at pickup because the ladies said to wait for a peticular person. He was talking to a person for ten min. and was told I was waiting he then proceded to go to car detailing to manage an employee. The worst thing was to be charged for tow days when I had it back under 24 houres, it actually showed 1 min. ovver, but I was getting first aid from the attendant as I scraped my arm getting out of the truck, not good business practice

The experience with U-haul was first rate. Everything was perfect.

I did a pre-check-in but was still asked to show my drivers license and provide other information that should have been done in the online form. Aim for 10 minutes. I picked up on a Monday morning and it still took 15M + Late switch from Fenlon Falls to Lindsay was annoying and inconvenient, Not the fault of the operation in Lindsay.

I had booked a pickup truck for early pick up at 730 AM. I arrived at the location at 720, filled out my drivers license and all information online and entered the store to pick up my truck. Since the uhaul portion of the store didn't open until 9:00 AM the gas station attendant processed my request. At the time everything checked out on her end but she needed a "key number" which the uhaul site wouldn't give me until 9 am. I was then told to call 1888 gouhaul. After 20 minutes on hold the customer service rep gave me a number for the regional office in Scarborough. After another 20 minutes on hold I was then transferred to the "24/7" representative. Again on hold for 15 minutes she told me that there was nothing she could do on her end because the system wouldn't give her a "key number" until 9 AM. She did how ever say she would later text me a referral number for 50$ which she never did. All in all I stood in a gas station parking lot on for nearly an hour trying to figure this out to get nothing. I did eventually get the truck at 9:38.. over 2 hours past my reserved pickup time.

The people helping to hook up did not know how to properly hook up chains and insisted on doing it and in return a worker yelled across the parking lot to me while I was removing my straps, then apologized but it was embarrassing. I have hooked up trailers for years and they did not even ask if I wanted help.
