We got there. It was a mix up they couldn't find the truck. When they did locate it a trailer was behind it the lady at the desk couldn't move it. So we had to physically push a trailer out of the way to get our truck. I tried calling the manager who hasn't returned my numerous times to contact him. Now no one answers the phone I feel like they see my number on caller ID and do not answer. So I called from another number they answered with no problem but still no managerRandy H.

The U-Haul representative was 1 1/2 hours late to our pick-up time so we were last getting started on our trip. Also, no one was there to hook the trailer up to our car as they have always done in the past with U-Haul. On top of the representative being late, there was no cable to make it a safe u-haul trailer connected to the vehicle's brake system. They then sent us to another U-Haul location that had told them not to send us there because they didn't have a cable. Then we were called to go back to the original location because they purchased one. They had purchased a cable that was too short for any U-Haul trailer use and then the representative had to go back to the store and get a longer one. The entire experience took 3 hours when it should've taken 20 minutes at most. I would like a representative to call about a credit.YVONNE G.

I did not receive a receipt when I returned the vehicle on 12/15/21. I was told I would receive my receipt by email, but have not received one yet. This is an important part of the return process and should be executed at the time of return so that there is no confusion. I had to call customer service to get a verbal confirmation that the vehicle was returned.Jennifer C.
Convenient because it was open for a late night/last minute pickup. Unfortunately the back lift door wasn't locked when I picked it up. The moving blanket bag was being used for a trash can. Not the best experience frankly but I am grateful I could get a truck in the late evening on short notice.William P.
There was no wire cable to connect the trailer lights. Rental place had no supplies, and did not help. I had to drive to another location and buy a cable. They did nothing to check the equipment. Its is disgraceful that Uhaul lets that gas station represent you.TERENCE L.

1. About the mobile phone checkin processâ€¦.Allow the customer to verify all the personal information you need the night before. Of if you can't do that then emphasize the requirement for a passport or additional phone contacts in open text. You asked in the sign up how I wanted to be contacted and I said text. So I never saw the small print info in the email about additional documentation until I arrived to pick up my van. I have never had to provide additional contacts or a passport for any other rental in 50 years and ended up having to drive back home to get my passport and wake up my son to answer the phone. This took 1.5 hours. It's a ridiculous requirement when you have my credit card and drivers license. Plus I could give you anyone's name who had a phone number. It's silly. If I am an untrustworthy person it's likely that my contacts would be as well. 2. This remote pickup location was unsatisfactory.The mobile coverage was poor so it took longer to upload my documents. I had to leave the store to get sufficient coverage to get the browser to refresh and show my confirmation to receive the keys. Then I had to wait 10 minutes for the lady who hands out the keys to drive to the store. And this store where I had to wait for her to arrive was dirty and unkempt inside and outside. I would never use this location again. It would have been a lot easier to just go to a UHaul counter location. 3. Also, it is NOT a Kmart as listed in the pickup location. I drove past the location because of this. It is a Mobil gas station and should be updated with the correct info. 4. Overall, this was a horrible experience and a waste of my time. I was treated like someone with a very poor credit rating who might steal your van and it's not clear why. If it's because not purchasing your insurance raises red flags for you then it should be clearly stated that not purchasing insurance will require extra verification steps. And again that verification should be done the day prior so that it doesn't impact the rental time. This was frustrating on every level.Patricia B.

Had to wait 25 minutes for someone to come in to take care of the rental transaction. Truck was not clean in cabin or truck bed. Trash and liter in truck bed, cup holders had syrupy stuff with bits of trash and cigarette butts in the ash tray. Trucked served its purpose for me but disappointed with the service.Kenneth D.

Good experience overall. When I had to refill the gas the needle did not move. Finally it started to move but because it was slow I realized that i nearly filled it up when it should have been only halfway. Because of this the representative of the gas station called me and told me he was only charging me for one day instead of two. If i ever need a truck again I will go back there.MAX S.

Location signage was barely visible, just a small sign on a 3 lane (each side) divided highway and the rental as part of another business. I rented the 15 ft truck. The vehicle was clean and having the loading ramp was convenient; climbing in and out of the truck was challenging. Adding running boards would be helpful. One indicators on the dash remained on - gas cap and engine check was on at the end of the trip.GLORIA H.
Truck had to have a fan installed to run defroster before our move. Considerable amount of time spent on the phone trying to rectify this. Andy from Road Side Assistance was the only live person we spoke with that attempted to help us. 2 very nice mechanics sent to our location came twice to our home and fixed the truck. Uhaul's phone system needs to be changed. Spent 45 minutes on hold 2 times attempting to speak with a agent. I doubt we will use this company again.Frank D.

Your charges or rate is too expensive as compare to Enterprise, Budget and Pensky rental. They charge 50 / 55 dollars per day. U Haul charged me $116,00 a day . It will be difficult for me to recommend anyone, Sorry .Prince A.

The process to rent the vehicle was quick and the person who worked with me was pleasant. The is some measure of redundancy, since I registered on-line, but not too much that it affected the rental process adversely. Had to wait for someone to speak English, the person was very rude, very unhelpful, had to ask what truck, and he waved in the general vicinity of the side of the building and said â€œout thereâ€. The building looked like an abandoned gas station and is filthy. A very poor representation of a Uhaul representative.Dawn K.
Awful awful experience before we picked up our rentals. We will NEVER use U-Haul again. We reserved our rentals almost 2 wks before the date to pick them up. We called the 800 number to see if we could go and get them earlier (the evening before). We were told our 26ft truck was available in Towson, MD (28 miles away) and to leave immediately to go get it. We arrived and there was no truck and no one knew it was coming. Then we had to drive an additional 36 miles to Laurel, MD to finally get the 26 ft truck that we had reserved almost 2 wks earlier. Very very poor record keeping. We paid in advance and ended up driving over 75 miles to pick them up. We spent almost 4 hrs driving to these places to get these U-Haul Rentals. We want a refund or some kind of compensation for this inconvenience.Dwayne R.

Omg!!! What kind of place did you send me to? I have NEVER been so frightened. This is NOT a uhaul place; hardly spoke English; bad part of town. Was followed and hounded for money by ppl outside place. Do NOT keep this place as a location. I will never go there!!!!mitchell M.
The pick up location is terrible. The customers are either high on drugs or selling drugs outside. It is not safe. Previously this location was the drop off for fed ex packages. Myself and others complained and fed ex stop making that the drop off point. I was there picking up a package and witnessed a drug deal and someone high on meth knocking down everything in the storelynette R.
