The owner (?)of King's Tires was very friendly and helpful when I rented a van. I am discouraged that after putting in 1.5 gallons of fuel for a round trip of only 50.5 miles, I have been charged $12.00 for an additional 2 gallons of gas.
Jillanne RPoor customer service. Gas tank filled "between 1/4 and 1/8" at pick up; making it essentially impossible to fill it back to that same level - I think this is a gimmick, for U-haul to make money from customers. The amount of gas on the tank when I picked it up was less than what was needed for the projected number of miles I told the guy - so, I was forced to get gas in the middle of the trip. Ended up with a tank that was half full upon return, but of course a credit was not given. So, U-haul essentially stole approx $10.00 from me. In summary, bad customer service. I hope never to need a rental truck from u-haul in the future.

EMMANUEL HThe service was less than great. When I arrived to request a rental, there was nobody in the office. I walked around and found someone who called the person who was supposed to be in the office, but they did not answer the call. When the person arrived at the office 15 minutes later, I was able to get my reservation completed. When I went to return the vehicle, there was again, nobody in the office. I waited 15 minutes and still nobody showed up. I had to leave to get to a meeting. This required me to make a second trip just to return the key to the truck. I did not feel comfortable leaving the truck key on the desk without anyone to confirm I had turned it in. There were no instructions on what to do if nobody was in the office. If this is a business, someone should be available during open hours.
ANNETTE ABest truck rental experience yet. Kings Tires on Santa Rosa ave. Employee made all the difference in the world. Very professional, fast, and kind. You can always tell when someone is a hard working family man, with old world values and morals. Price was lower than other u-haul places. I will rent from that location again if possible. More than 5stars for sure.

DARREN GIt had been awhile since I rented from U-Haul. Now I used my phone to check-in and pick-up the truck as well as dropping it off. What a great system. I would surely rent from them again. I didn't have to talk to anybody. But, I went inside to tell them how much I liked the new system.

JONATHAN GPhotos taken by the location prior to rental were poor angles that did not show full views of the sides of the truck. The "front" view was taken from overhead of only one front corner and did not show the bumper that had significant damage. The truck ramp had broken glass on it when I pulled it out to use it. The truck had ~134000 miles on it, surely close to being taken out of service? During the second day of my rental period, the A/C failed.

MATTHEW FThe inside front windshield was dirty enough to cause a visibility problem when driving toward the sunset. Otherwise the vehicle was good. Service at pick-up was efficient. At drop-off it was efficient and friendly also.
Michael DThe van had clearly not been washed anytime recently. It stalled a number of times; just lost power to the point I had to pull over. Staff was not there when I arrived to return vehicle. He showed up 20 minutes later. I asked if he worked there, and his smart ass reply was "sometimes". No acknowledgement that he kept me and others waiting. He went off premises for some reason and left the office completely unattended. The bill made absolutely no sense; the total amount seemed correct but the itemization was completely wrong. He could not explain it. I will not be returning to this location.
ROBERT SThe truck was dirty, the windows had not been cleaned in months, no water in the windowsheild dispenser. Truck parked behind a huge flatbed parked illegally across the driveway & sidewalk making it very hard to get out. There were no flags, cones or warnings signs and I had to try and exit the parked U-Haul around the flatbed on a busy street. No one offered to help me with these obstacles in the way.
LISA MThe vehicle was dirty - gunk on the consul and dashboard, leaves on the floor, trash in the door pockets. The van cargo bed liner had tears in it. Van ran fine and fit my needs for hauling. Service was friendly. The rate is really good for a day use plus mileage.

Mark STo start, I am not someone who complains. I reserved a truck for pickup at 8am. I arrived at 7:50. The store was not opened until 8:25 am. There were three other customers that were delayed as well. When I received my truck, it was a little less than half full. I drove the truck less than 15 miles total. I was told to bring it back with half a tank. I put 6 dollars in, which in CA gets a little over a gallon. I returned it with the same amount of gas as when I got it. I received my bill where I was charged for 5.5 gallons if gas at 6.25 a gallon. Almost 40 dollars. The staff was late. The staff was rude. And the staff ripped me off. Total BS. Moving sucks to begin with. This is crap.

sadek sPicking up the trailer and getting it hooked up was easy. While I was able to easily drop off the trailer, there was no one present at the it was difficult getting someone to answer the phone since the online drop off app said that I needed to be at teh site during drop off. I eventually received confirmation from Uhaul but was worried that I might be charge extra.

KATHERINE TIt looked like someone had spilled a slushy in the back of the truck. Otherwise excellent. I will rent from this location again. I had an unfortunate accident at the county dump, the tire was punctured and as the facility was closing, roadside assistance was unable to help until the next day. The flat wasn't repaired until late in the morning. I finished my moving, but was over 24 hours late returning the truck. I was charged even though I couldn't use the truck and the flat was not my fault.

Richard FCounter help was quick and courteous, but the van was shockingly dirty. The windows were so filthy, inside and out, I spent 20 minutes cleaning just to be able to drive the thing safely. Other than that, the van was fine.
Timothy RTruck was very dirty with 118k miles on it. Back was sticky and you could see foot prints. Interior was had this dried liquid throughout. The rubber window piece fell out. The side mirrors moved with the wind so it was very dangerous driving. Got in the truck and the rubber mat was over the gas pedal. Had to pull over and push it behind the pedal. Rust all throughout the back door. Had a 12 year old running the counter with his dad helping or someone. not professional at all.
Lann CEverything was fine until I returned the truck. I was told it was full when I picked it up. I put about 20 miles on it during the rental but when I stopped to replace the gas it took over 4 gallons!! I know trucks use more fuel than cars but 5 miies per gal. I don't think so. When I returned the truck I told the counter person and she didn't say a word. No "I'm sorry", no "how can we make this right?", nothing, just stared at me like I was an idiot!?! You have three rental yards in Santa Rosa, I will never go back to this one....

STEVEN DThe owner of the tire shop was not informed of our rental and accused us of trying to steal the trailer we rented and paid for in advance. The only person who accessed the Uhaul deal had a family emergency and had to leave the premises. Kings tire had NO paper work from our rental! One of the king tired employee taunted us and accused of stealing equipment! We had to hook up the trailer up to our 22ft truck ourselves!! I'm sorry im a woman and had no idea how to hook a trailer onto the truck! We had our receipt and was paid in Full! It's was very humiliating and we felt discriminated! After the complaint was filed with U-Haul - nothing was done about this! I am so disappointed in the way this transaction was handled! Considering a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau!
Julie OHello, the person working there was very nice but the truck showed a "change oil light" and there was no windshield wiper fluid at all. Vehicle was quite dirty and had less than half a tank of gas in it.

Elizabeth M. I booked this rental to pick up at the Hopper Lane location and then chose a nearby hotel to stay before my rental. Then I get a message that they do not have that equipment. Then I get a msg that I will need to go to 1075 Santa Rosa Ave to get my truck. Then I get a msg that I can pick up early at a location even further away on Santa Rosa Ave. Although picking up early was nice the confusion about where was pretty frustrating and a long way from my accommodations. The 1075 location was able to move my reservation and pick up the truck early
David S2 times I have had bogus dropoff sites. Once was a car repair shop w no one there. 2nd was a site w irregular hours. Both times, by phone, UHaul found another dealer not too far away. From now on I will check the drop off tho I am unsure how to do that.
Duncan RThere were easily 35 blankets, some still in the plastic wrap within back of moving van. We have to take all the blankets out to move everything in as they took up a large space. The bottom was dirty. Also had a dolly and hand truck that we didn't need (and didn't ask for) so we also had to keep track of those.
Jason LThe person that checked us out was rude, asked for a restroom for my son and was told they had none. It was a full working tire shop, what do they hold it all day. Was super crammed and small. The person who checked us out dad showed up when we were trying to leave and was extremely rude , not moving vehicles so we was able to leave in a timely manor, we had a nice verbal altercation upon departure. Never will I rent from this location again.

Dean FLost three hours of work . Still not done with moving my stuff . Thanks too the poor communication with the location of pick up as well as no cases too moving the truck out after I spent 1.5 hours trying too check in too access keys . Then the person who did show up at 8:10 am when I was told that they would be there by 8am . The 10 min late didn't seem like a big deal too the clerk it was a long 10 min after waiting in the dark in a not so great neighborhood in the middle of the morning and my move was a shit show because of the stress related too the poor communication from the pick up . The drop off was smooth and the customer service at the counter was ok . But my lord what a really horrible experience. I hoping they are paying fully for the truck . Also the gas meter was not recorded at the time of check in and it wasn't given any paper work after with a receipt of any kind .
Amber Mno one there when I arrived, no sign on door. After looking around tire area for awhile found 1 guy. Said mgr out. Mgr arrived - no apology no nice greeting. I was told on phone I could use a cc of my mothers without having physically. When there I was told no. Girl/mgr was so rude. When returning - same girl very rude. I put n counter & she says all set. Never got a walk thru or saw final invoice in person. Then my credit card was charged couple hours later for all mileage even though I had pre/estimated & prepaid that estimate. My credit was not applied. I called in - guy said he'd check out me hold but I could hear two guys yelling at a customer for a while. No one ever got back on the phone. The storage rental place says they always hear bad reviews about this location. The worst customer service ever. Clearly needs new staff/mgr!!!
MONDI CHave a person at the desk be someone with customer service experience. She may have to do the same thing every day with multiple people but for the customer she is the only person we have a transaction with and she was not approachable at all.
