We are frustrated with our experience today. We got a text less than an hour before our pickup time letting us know that the pickup location had been changed to a different location. The original location would have allowed us to use the self-service mobile app to check in and pickup our vehicle. Instead, we were sent to a busy gas station farther away from our original location which added mileage to our trip, where we had to go inside and wait in line to be helped. The person working was on the phone and it was unclear whether or not they were speaking to us or the person on the phone. When we got the van, we immediately noticed it smelled like marijuana inside. The tire pressure light was on as well as an alert for an oil change being needed. Because of this, we couldn't bypass to the odometer to view the original mileage on the vehicle at pickup and have no way of knowing if the mileage we were charged for is accurate. We had to then drive the van somewhere to add air to the tire, adding more mileage we shouldn't be charged for in addition to us having to pay to add air to the tire. It is also unsafe to have us driving a vehicle that needs an oil change, especially as there is no cutoff on how many miles you are allowed to drive the van. After driving it off the lot, we noticed several large cracks in the windshield and lots of trash behind both of the seats. This vehicle should have been checked more thoroughly before we were allowed to pick it up. We also drove by the original pickup location on our way to the second pickup location which not only proved that it was a farther destination, but we were able to see that there were plenty of vehicles of all sizes available so there was no valid reason for our pickup location to have been changed in the first place.

BEWARE: Owner is very rude and unprofessional! No one should yell at their customers. I parked my car in the front not thinking it would be a problem while I used the Uhaul. He called me screaming telling me I should Not have parked my car there because I'm not a customer. I guess he doesn't consider Uhaul customers his customers. I quickly apologized and told him I didn't know he then said I need to have someone move my car ASAP or he was going to have it towed because it's private property and I can't leave my car there. I had only been gone with the Uhaul 20 mins. In fear of my car being towed I rushed back “adding mileage” to my trip just to park my car on the street and off of “his property.” As a business owner the correct way to avoid this would have been to tell someone before hand. There are no signs outside that say “Uhaul Customers don't park here”. There is a sign that says “Customer Parking Only” I will NEVER rent from this Uhaul location ever again! I will tell my friends, coworkers, family & social media the same. I wish had recorded the incident when I went to move my care he immediately started a verbal dispute and told me I could cancel my Uhaul. How could I cancel something that I already charged for and had began using. My father got out the Uhaul and all of sudden he calmed down. I'm not sure if it was because I was a female and in his culture women don't have rights but I would not have talked to an animal let alone a human being in the manner he did all because of misunderstanding with parking. You would have thought I stole something from his store. I normally deal with the location on Academy Ave where they are pleasant and respectful I will go back to them if I I ever need a Uhaul.

Canceled my reservation twice then when I finally got my uhaul I had to evict a homeless man living in the back of the truck and had to throw cardboard down on the dried up vomit.

Overall the experience was good. However, the passenger side mirror needs to be tightened or replaced as it is not secured in a way to avoid it shifting while driving. This is a major safety issue when driving on the highway as the mirror does not stay in place and you cannot see.

It was a simple process, i recommend to do everything online, keep in mind it is a corner store so people will be in and out to make there purchases if u decide to not do it online.

The vehicle was clean. We were only concerned about the transmission with the particular truck we rented. All worked out for our move, but wanted it noted for future use of the vehicle for other customers

Stop charging these extreme rates for mileage. I was charged more than double the quote for going slightly over mileage! Insane to pay that much for a Uhaul for 5 hours! I will never rent with Uhaul again. The location was extremely slow, he kept taking other customers that walked in basically making me wait until the store was empty. As a convenience store there are constantly people walking in, just a waste of time and moneu!!

The man who is at the store and processes the Uhaul is very friendly, kind, and helpful. This is our second time using a Uhaul from this location and we will continue to do so if needed from KH Mart because of him. In terms of the actual van that we received, it was well maintained but the customers before us left all sorts of trash in it, including used face masks and stuff. Please clean up after yourself! It's disrespectful and no one else should have to clean up after you.
