Truck was clean and in good condition overall but drove at lower speeds in wobbly manner, I drew that to the attention of the friendly and efficient agent. Automated email notified me of a receipt, but repeated attempts clicking on the hyperlink provided did not open anything. A message to noreply@uhaul.com requesting a receipt resulted in a delivery failure notice. I would actually like a receipt in PDF form please. Compliments to friendly and efficient agent.

People were great, process was smooth, gear was good - everything I like about UHaul. This company was made to move. Nobody else comes close. But the mechanical condition of UHaul trucks is always weak, and always has been. Steering often loose, back sliding doors don't work well, etc.

Staff member who served me was professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. Good experience. Fuel on-site made the return fill-up super easy. Should be listed as a feature for that rental site when searching/booking online.

I was erroneously told by a friend that I could drop off at any location. I first tried dropping off downtown 9th avenue. This location was the worst customer experience I've had in canada to date. Staff didn't acknowledge me upon entry or at all. This was stark contrast to my experience once I reached Kensington. Lovely gang of helpful individuals. I felt seen and heard.

The problem was NOT the location but the UHaul website. The staff at thge location was courteous and tried to help but they couldn't check me in because the system (website, platform) was down. It was not an issue o the location but an UHaul issue. There was also a problem with the app because it didn't allow me to complete a self check-in. Tried calling an 800 number and spent more than 20 minutes on hold but couldn't talk to anyone. After 45 minutes the website started working again but the while issue affected my moving plans.

I initially booked the U-Haul from downtown Calgary location. Later got to know I can't pick it from there so the location was changed. I had to take Uber to reach that place causing additional expenses. Later when I reached to the new location, I was told there is no vehicle available. We waited for a long time before a van was given to me. This wasted 1 hour of the elevator booking time I had in the building I was moving in. Had to penalty to pay 100$ penalty to get more time with the elevator and also had to pay more money to the helpers I had hired. Really frustrated will the over all service from uhal as it caused me significant financial loss. My experience will be shared on Google reviews as well so that people are aware

There was a low tire pressure light on when I picked the vehicle up. Also, a warning light about the parking brake. The vehicle wasn't clean, but that was understandable with the sloppy weather. A shout out to the young man who checked me out.

The vehicles should be on full. Otherwise, U haul is seen as being dishonest. This is the second time that I rented, only to find out that the vehicle was half empty.

Pick up and drop off was easy. They didn't have the truck I wanted, so they gave me the next size up for the same price. But....later in the day the battery died, and it wouldn't start. I lost about 75 minutes waiting for the tow truck to come to boost it.

Over all I had a great Experience, the staff were excellent and the van was in good working order. The only area of improvement I could suggest, is prior to the customer collecting the van, cleaning of sideview mirror would be a great benefit.

The service is way too expensive, maybe you should consider making new short term rental policies. This is unfair to have to rent a vehicle for 2 hrs and pay $90. There should be a better renting scheme. This is not okay. Thanks

First time and last time I rented from u haul. I booked it to move to a town 100 km awa at first one way. The system online offered me to save $70 if I bring the vehicle back. I accepted. All emails indicated where to pick it up and where to drop it off after. Yet they out allowed mileage for only one way so at the end they charged me extra 97$. Total scam! I called customer service and was told some manager will call me to solve it. Never did! These people are crooks. Better borrow a truck from a friend or a van . Never again!

Van was quite dirty inside with a severely cracked windshield and a damaged rear bumper, but otherwise satisfied with it. It begs the question, if damage is done to the vehicle and the renter has to pay for the damage, do the repairs not actually get done to the vehicle? Not sure if that makes sense to me, otherwise what is the renter paying for? Also I would've liked to have been able to pick the van up from the originally requested location as the website said it was available there. Not sure why that wasn't able to be provided since it was supposed to be available.

Kudos to the guys manning the desk at the pick up location - super helpful! But the truck was not good for Calgary weather and the snow, and I only got it on the road and driving because they managed to get me out where I was stuck. They spent a lot of time helping me, much more helpful than U-Haul proved to be later on in the weekend. The tires were nearly bald, we'd seen such a bad snow fall the past day and there was no snow brush or chains, when it should'be been apparent I required chains and some part of me doesn't understand how they're not included in a rental for cross country drivers.

The truck was well used. It was dirty inside and out. It is mid-winter here so that's maybe expected. But it worked fine. And it was convenient. Overall a good experience but certainly not like renting a car that is washed and clean and filled up and ready for you.

Hello, The trucks are always filthy when I rent from this kensington road location. This rental was not swept out in the back, so I had to do it before I put my things into it. Filthy. Sawdust ….trash. The cab was dusty and sloppy wipe job on the passenger side floor. Garbage inside the door storage areas. The volume control on the radio was not working and would only go to a certain volume and not increase even though the dial was spinning. The staff at the gas station were very kind and the service is excellent. BUT the trucks feel dirty the last few times I have been there. My preference is the Bow City Storage or 9th Ave sw location as I know they always have trucks clean to a professional standard. I don't need to waste my time cleaning U-Haul trucks…. I would like some compensation for my negative experience …. I rent from U-Haul quite a bit and feel that it is a fair request. Thank you Raylene Place

I reserved furniture blankets in advance and they did not have them. The U-haul truck was 40 minutes late to be ready after being reserved weeks in advance. They only had one type of lock in stock to secure the back of the u-haul, an overpriced and easily cut keyed padlock. No discus, word, or combo locks available. The truck had garbage stuffed in the bag which is meant to store furniture pads in the cargo area, such as empty food bags and empty cans of whiteclaw. The cab interior was clean, but the truck was not properly checked/maintained. From the very start, there was a warning light indicating an issue with the Electronic Throttle Control, and an hour into the drive, the check engine light also came on. The windshield had numerous cracks and chips. The young guy who was working at this location was friendly and seemed to empathize and realized the issues I addressed with him, such as the 40m delay or the lack of furniture blankets that had been reserved weeks in advance, were ridiculous, but he essentially implied his hands were tied. He seemed like a junior employee and I don't think he's responsible or at fault for any of those issues, and he was very helpful for things that were within his control (e.g. we circled the block to fuel up at the attached gas station, and he came out of the store to spot us since we were in a 26" truck and tight area). However, the older guy I spoke to on the phone and in store, who called saying the truck wasn't ready and that my furniture blankets weren't there, was a grade-a a-hole. He was rude and dismissive in his actions, words, and tone. He basically passed the buck and would not take any responsibility. He said things like "we don't have the space to store the furniture blankets, so what we have on hand is what you get" or calling to say that my u-haul was going to be 30m late (it was really 40+) without any sort of apology or attempt to make it up to me, just basically "it is what it is." These seem like logistical issues they should plan for, as it is quite literally the business they are in. I reserve/rent equipment, they provide it, I exchange currency. If they sometimes don't have the equipment, despite the reservation, what are they doing? That's a u-haul issue, not a 'me' issue. It's not like it was a sudden request; the booking including the furniture pads was made weeks in advance. His condescending attitude to me and what I overheard when he was speaking to others was beyond the pale and he should not be in a customer-facing role of any kind. Props to the young guy working there for being able to tolerate that guy, who appeared to be his boss.
