When I picked up my Uhaul it had trash in the door pockets. Floor and dash were covered in ashes and the truck smelled like smoke. I tried to take pictures in the app and it let me take only one then I was going thru pretrip pictures and one of the pictures wasn't even the right truck had a different bumper. Other than that self check in and out was pretty easy. I also left truck way fuller than I got it.Christian M.

We ended up needing our truck for two extra days and they were very helpful and accommodating! The whole drop off process couldn't have been easier! Avi (sp?) was super helpful, professional, and easy to deal with.David M.
The place where the keys drop need to be located so no one can put their hands in and take the keys out and steal the truckLESLIE P.
My only comment would be the strap ends were tattered. If they were needed to be remove from the ratchet, it would be very difficult to reinstall in tightening.Curtis F.
I would have been in big trouble if there wasn't someone inside to help me. I tried app pickup first and ended up needing support to verify me. They left me hanging for precious minutes before I gave up and went inside. I had a very tight timeline and needed them to be much more prompt. The person who helped me inside of KDR Convenience was excellent.Heidi M.

My bad experience is all related to the 24/7 check in process. I rented a U-Haul at 4:30 AM. I did the pre-check in and uploaded my license. When I showed up at 4:30 AM, I uploaded it again. So issue occurred where it requested more info. They needed to verify my identity with three people. At 4:30 AM on a Saturday morning, there is no one that I feel comfortable waking up to verify me. They told me to get my passport. I drove 30 minutes home to get it and 30 minutes back. After uploading my passport and everything else again, they then said they had to call people again. Super frustrating process that took 3 hours to try and figure out. Finally the location opened up and I got the U-Haul. This process is horrible. I will not be a returning customer to U-Haul. Super disappointed in the system but also the attendants lack of clear communication and empathy. Definitely and experience I will share with friends.Kyle L.

I was able to check-in online which expedited (somewhat) the pick up process. However, it is combined with a gas station/convenience store and on a busy road. If you show up at a crowded time the process might not be as smooth... just my opinion, nothing observed to validate that. The owners/operators are very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to assist in any way.Tony A.

The only thing that I would suggest is filling the tank above 1/2 tank and keeping it there. It would be more convenient so you don't have to fill up before you go to your destination. Thank you!Bridget A.

The trailer brake and signal lights were shottily repaired with electrical tape and shorted out during my trip. This created a safety hazard while driving at night and added significant time to my trip when I had to back track to a service station that could make the needed repairs to the light system.Ryan M.

This truck had an exhaust leak that was so bad I was forced to drive with the windows down the ENTIRE trip. Strong smell of exhaust fumes was overpowering and gave me a headache. Physically the truck was in pretty good shape except for this.Boyd A.

I was charged extra for going over the mileage. U Haul gave me an empty tank and made me pick up from a location that was further away but did not give me extra mileage. I returned the truck with extra gas but didn't get refunded or credit for the gas. BS if you ask me, you guys want your money but who is going to refund me for gas and who is going to pay for the extra mileage when you guys made me pick up the truck from a location of your choice that was exactly 5 miles away from me instead of a mile. U haul should have given me extra mileage for that and not charge me for it.Imran N.

Let me start with a positive. The person inside the location where I was picked up a 24/7 shared truck was amazing. We had trouble finding the key location, the directions did not help So that led to difficulty picking up the truck. Then the trouble returning the truck, was the website kept closing before finishing the return, so the gentleman inside the convenient store was key to being able to use the truck. The truck functioned well, appropriate size, and everything went smoothly with the truck. It was the pick up and the drop off that we were really dissatisfied with. I have used UHaul many times in the past and this is the only time that I've been dissatisfied. In the future I personally as an middle aged person using a truck, i will continue to use a storefront U-Haul rather than a 24/7 pick up thank youJohn S.
