I was moving a fine furniture set made of cherry. I rented the furniture covers from U-Haul. They were pre-packaged and in the back of the truck, unfortunately several of them were caked with dirt and what looked to be motor oil. They were rendered useless for my application

Take the JH I rented to the shop for front end check, check front and right rear rims for trueness/bent, front shocks are shot, gas neck vent drips fuel when being filled on the lowest setting. Thetruck pulls to the right when you take your hand off the wheel. the truck pulls to the left abruptly when you put on the brakes and they squeal. The truck shakes so bad it made my wife nauseated. The truck was clean, mechanically it was a nightmare!! JT Auto gave me a clean truck and blankets. I blame the previous customers Drop off location for not doing a proper PM on the truck! Yes, I did use to work for U-Haul as a Hitch-Pro/ rental agent, transporter. I'm appalled that I paid $3,600 for this move and U-Haul gives JT Automotive a subpar vehicle that shouldn't have been rented out. I didn't know the truck was bad because it was empty and I thought the empty tow dolly was making it buck and shake. I got going 3 miles an hour and it shakes bad side to side. I called the technical hotline and Sarah said she couldn't have a tech meet me out on the road and try switching front rims. I had no choice but to keep moving. At theend of the move I called customer service and I got the lovely Teresa on the phone. She basically called me a liar and not so many words because she knew how Sarah would handle the situation.I told her that I didn't know she was in the conversation so she wouldn't know what Sarah said. At that point I asked for a supervisor for which I got Holly. Holly understood the problem, kind of, and said it can't be addressed until the truck was turned in. it's funny how corporate America really doesn't seem to care about their customers anymore and employees have no idea about how to use customer service properly!!! I used to drive the old stick shift 1976 Ford 14' TC's from U-Haul and they road way better than that neglected JH3534F!!!! I will be waiting for a call from someone in the company who actually cares about the customer. That being said I'm sure I will probably not get a call back. If anyone does care to give me a call. JT Auto was very good. Clean truck. Easy to find what I needed. The 24/7 Truckshare app was pretty good. Really good, actually but has a couple of minor confusions that I expect will be worked out as it matures. Faster to check out with the app at JT than some of the bigger busier sites with people and forms.

When a dropoff point is sent we should also have our hours included. When I got there they were closed and now i have a dispute over the gas in the tank. It would be easier if you always sent out with full tank and return with full tank

The Email online invoice Emailed to me indicated total amount was $87.57....however my credit was charged $102.76..!!!!!. the before and after gas notes confirm that the truck was returned with almost 1/4 tank MORE than when it left ..... I replied to Uhaul yesterday as to what the add'l $15.19 was for ?.....no response yet One wonders - - what is the Rental location ( JT Auto ) charging extra for .... who else have they dinged also ? When can I expect a credit of $15.19 back ?

Original reservation was for Lake Avenue in Brockport, NY. They are not open on weekends. I was lucky to have had Colby street with the truck I needed. Had to reschedule a truck. Lost 2plus hours of move time.

So the guy lives behind his shop in a camper. He said he sent me an email with a code for the key so he didn't have to come into the shop because he had a late night at the red wings game (insert eye roll emoji) ....... I still have not received that email . He had , no joke, rolled out of bed and came in the shop to get me the key and fill out the paperwork. so weird. The truck was clean , but it drove terrible, anything over 40 and it shook like the front end was going to fall off it. Could use some break work as well. I have used U-Haul 4 or 5 times . And this is the worst experience i've ever had , it's nothing terrible but just not professional. If needed I will use U-haul again but will absolutely NOT use this location . CREEPY !

When I showed up around 12:40 to pick up the truck at the Brockport location using the online checkin, I was met with a “your reservation has expired, please call [so-and-so]”, so I did and got a voice mail. I approached the office and was met with a locked door, even though the rep who'd called me on Friday assured me they would be open until 2pm, which is what a sign on the door also confirmed. A woman inside - without letting me in - said to someone else “there's someone here” and then I waited a few minutes before the door was unlocked. The man behind the counter knew I was coming, but told me he was about to leave for the day since I had mobile check in. I explained that I was told they'd be open until 2pm, somehow my reservation was now expired, and he went through the steps I'd done previously to set me up with a rental. I don't think the 20 miles the rep who called me Friday promised me were carried over to the new reservation.

Uhaul itself was disappointing. I bought the insurance and it did not cover the mail box I hit. Why did I even pay for it?

The uhaul required almost the foot to the floor to gain any speed with the back empty. Maybe the truck needs a transmission check too? Otherwise the uhaul did exactly what I needed it to reliably, 9/10 would recommend and would use again.

Did not explain things about truck, just took money and handed keys. Did not make truck available when we needed it. macedon- Worker was very helpful in explaining how to attach trailer and car and making sure it was safe. However, we made our reservations 2 weeks in advance and Uhaul forced us to drive 45 miles both ways to pick up the trailer. This cost us time, gas, and mileage on the truck. If you make a reservation, they should have the equipment where and when you need it. You're the paying customer!

I have a general comment that gets less than 1 star. I reserved this Trailer approximately 5 weeks prior to my move in hopes to pick up in Kingston NY - 2 days prior to my move, I received a Text saying my pickup was Albany NY and when I called, the pickup point had now moved to Williamstown MA - I thought it was a JOKE! almost 2 hours from my house - your reservation system is not good and I am deeply disappointed in my experience this time with UHaul. I had to move so I sucked it up and drove over 2 hours to pickup. I hope to see some changes in the reservation system.
