If it's an after hours pick up, I was trying to follow the instructions to take my photo and it only gave instructions for Safari and I was still having issues and then I went into my Google Chrome and changed it to approve it worked so I would maybe include the Google Chrome in the instructions.colleen B.

I rented a Uhaul on 04/01 the truck was extremely dirty and we had to clean it ourselves before putting our furniture and boxes in it! I wasn't offered any compensation due to this which is really disappointing.Shaila B.

Truck had 111,000. I did not expect a pristine vehicle. And that is not what I got. The back was empty and clean. The truck ran ok. The passenger cabin was acceptable, could have been cleaner but was fine. Check in and checkout was excellent.darren M.

The truck ran horrible, it sounded like it needed a new muffler. It started up like the timing was off. The pickup is on a country type road and the truck was left too far away from where the keys were locked up. I didnt feel safe. The internet was slow and at one point i couldnt get in the online uhaul site. My phone internet was working and then it stopped. I dont think it was my phone because i used google to get to the pickup location. It was very cold outside and between my time with the customer support it was over 3 hours i sat there and used alot of gas idling to stay warm. Once I received the code to open the box. The customer support person did dont instruct me how to open the box which wasted over 2 1/2 hours. The box had no instructions how to open it. She told me to enter the code and press the silver button on top. I pressed and pulled it and nothing happened. I left and gave up. I received a call from I dispatcher in Fairpot. I drove back and I was instructed to open the other boxes at the location, those boxes had a turn dial and opened. The box I had to open didn't appear to have a dial. Well there was a dial there it looked like where you put a pass key could be used to open it. I tried to turn it clockwise and wouldnt budge, i figured out it was a dial after opening the other two boxes, you had to turn it counter clockwise. There were no instuction to indicate this as a dial. I arrived at 8:53 a.m. for my pickup, by the time all of these issues were fixed it was 12:30 p.m. The auto shop was supposed to open at 10 a.m. but no one ever came in while I was there. I had workers waiting for me to get the truck to the apartment to empty it. I have an issue I only went 10 miles with the truck and it was still on 1/4 tank when I left it at the pickup location, but the tank was reported to have only 1/8 of a tank of gas when I returned it. This by my calculation means the truck only gets 80 miles to a full tank. I wasn't charged for fuel. I did not have it on towing, i disengaged it by pressing the button on the shifter. I didn't get a picture of the dashboard when I dropped it off because my phone.died. My bill was also confusing, it didn't clearly say how much my credit card was charged. I will not be renting a truck from this location if I can help it. Uhaul also needs to train there customer service people better. She was kind. When I called prior to the call with her a person just hung up on me. I was clearly upset but was not nasty with that call. I was just saying that if I couldn't get the use of the vehicle, I wanted a free rental and no gas charge. I was extremely stressed from trying to use the truck that day.Kathleen Z.

The pickup location was changed because the original one's staff left early for the day. I called this person ahead of time to change the pick up time and he said he would be available. When he wasn't there, I called customer service who advised me that there was â€˜nothing they could do' because the changed pickup time wasn't inputted into the system. When I went to pick up the truck after completing the mobile check in through my phone, the receptionist did not listen to the fact that I simply needed to pick up the keys inside. She went through the entire in-person check in even after I informed her I did all of that. Next, I was assigned a different truck than what I checked in with so the manager was called. I didn't end up leaving with the truck until 45 minutes after I had gotten there. Not to mention, the receptionist had a 12 pack of Corona sitting on the counter and said I was her last customer and she was going to crack open the case after she helped me. Also the truck was on less than 1/4 tank of gas when I picked it up. In terms of drop off, my initial reservation was for 6 hours (pickup at 5pm, drop off at 11pm). I got a notification that my drop off was for 9pm. So I called the U haul helpline number and was on hold for 30 mins. Once I got connected with someone, they were extremely helpful and extended my reservation until 2 pm the next day. I did ask about returning the truck since there were a lot of complications, she suggested that I return the keys and take care of the return process in person. I arrive at the same destination I picked the truck up at at 1:30. The sign on the door says they close at 2, however, the lights were off, no one was there, and the door was locked. Thankfully I was able to complete the return with no issues. I will never rent a U Haul from this location again and will be spreading the word around to not rent from them either.Justin H.
Had to sweep out the truck,have a torn windshield wiper replaced,leaked gas in my driveway at home in Brockport n In Castilian springs TN. Used approximately $100 more than expected, and then when I dropped it off the guy parked it on an uneven surfaced n I got charged $14+ for a couple gallons under. Tried calling u haul customer service several times n was on hold for almost an hr each time and I ended up hanging up. Not a good experience!! Will also look at Penske next time !!Ken D.

The mileage that they put in system for truck when picking up was so off, that we couldn't even complete pick up or drop off. Also is and another party both have difficulty getting a signal to complete the process. I would never do the pickup or drop off with the app again as it took twice as long as when picking up in person.Christine S.

I was moving a fine furniture set made of cherry. I rented the furniture covers from U-Haul. They were pre-packaged and in the back of the truck, unfortunately several of them were caked with dirt and what looked to be motor oil. They were rendered useless for my applicationBrian F.

Take the JH I rented to the shop for front end check, check front and right rear rims for trueness/bent, front shocks are shot, gas neck vent drips fuel when being filled on the lowest setting. Thetruck pulls to the right when you take your hand off the wheel. the truck pulls to the left abruptly when you put on the brakes and they squeal. The truck shakes so bad it made my wife nauseated. The truck was clean, mechanically it was a nightmare!! JT Auto gave me a clean truck and blankets. I blame the previous customers Drop off location for not doing a proper PM on the truck! Yes, I did use to work for U-Haul as a Hitch-Pro/ rental agent, transporter. I'm appalled that I paid $3,600 for this move and U-Haul gives JT Automotive a subpar vehicle that shouldn't have been rented out. I didn't know the truck was bad because it was empty and I thought the empty tow dolly was making it buck and shake. I got going 3 miles an hour and it shakes bad side to side. I called the technical hotline and Sarah said she couldn't have a tech meet me out on the road and try switching front rims. I had no choice but to keep moving. At theend of the move I called customer service and I got the lovely Teresa on the phone. She basically called me a liar and not so many words because she knew how Sarah would handle the situation.I told her that I didn't know she was in the conversation so she wouldn't know what Sarah said. At that point I asked for a supervisor for which I got Holly. Holly understood the problem, kind of, and said it can't be addressed until the truck was turned in. it's funny how corporate America really doesn't seem to care about their customers anymore and employees have no idea about how to use customer service properly!!! I used to drive the old stick shift 1976 Ford 14' TC's from U-Haul and they road way better than that neglected JH3534F!!!! I will be waiting for a call from someone in the company who actually cares about the customer. That being said I'm sure I will probably not get a call back. If anyone does care to give me a call.
