We had to drive 1.5 hours each way to pick up our truck after we were confirmed to pick it up 2 miles from our home. This was a complete disaster as we moved out of state and this put us 1 day behind. The girl on the phone in MT was completely unprofessional and cursed at me then hung up. I will never use Uhaul again for ANYTHING!Krista W.

They don't worry about checking the equipment. They didn't do an oil change for a truck going 1600 miles. I found out after no service areas are available that the oil life was 4% I had to use more gas because the engine was working harder. On top of that they also failed to check the trailer connections on the truck. I had to drive 1600 miles with no left tail light on my trailer. It did not respond at all.Edward S.

This moving experience ( this was our fifth major Uhaul moving experience from Saskatchewan, Canada to Oxnard, CA to Minot, ND to Simi Valley, CA to Minot, ND to Saskatchewan, Canada) was absolutely the worst. The manager at the Minot, ND Uhaul was absolutely the worst and the lady that works there is a BITCH. We ordered our UHaul 3 weeks in advance, the morning we came in to get it, we did all the paper work and were going outside to view the truck and they said , Oh we don't have a truck for you after all. This was around 11:30 am , we were signing papers for the sale of our home at noon and possession of our home was that day and we had the men , who were going to help us pack the truck coming at 1pm. I couldn't believe it, absolutely no compassion or help from the UHaul staff. Where were we going to put all our furniture and belongings. They didn't care. That Lady that works there is a Bitch and I have heard other experiences involving her that backs this assessment up. Thankfully, our home had a garage and the new owners said we could put all our stuff in there until we could make some arrangements. We had to drive to Plentywood, Montana , a 3hr drive each way to get our 26ft Truck the next day. We were all day on the road and this wasn't highway driving, it was back roads and very rural and very boring and very long. We had 2 extra days in our motel due to this and we had to pay the men that were loading the truck twice. I was absolutey furious and no compassion or understanding or help from the UHaul in Minot. Then the day we were leaving Minot for our move to Saskatchewan, Canada I get a call from UHaul saying that the auto carrier that we had also reserved 3 weeks ahead was not available in Minot for us. I lost it, went in and just cancelled the car carrier order and told the Manager that I was going to report him to Cooperate and he didn't even care. As a result of this, I had to drive our car behind my husband driving the UHaul to the border and then onto Regina, Saskatchewan, a total of over 4 hours. As I have said, this was our 5th major move with UHaul and never, ever, had this kind of service. Totally disappointed and very furious with the office in Minot, North Dakota. And as I have mentioned that the lady that works in that office should never, ever be in Customer service, she is a BITCH. I rented from this location because the other choice (same distance from my house) was 3x the price. They did not go over the condition of the equipment and it was hooked to my vehicle incorrectly.Devon K.

I got charged extra for no reason Called so many times and yet have had to call them again to get rid of charges that was on my bill for no reason. I had to drive 4 hours to get my trailer accross the.border to Montana so not impressed with the service After dropping off the trailer I get a bill for 4 extra days of rental 2 days later of me dropping off the trailer
The location hours said Monday through Saturday 8 am to 6 pm. Tried calling the number multiple times on different days to confirm drop off time and location and no one ever answered. Went to drop off on Saturday before 10 am and was there by 9 and no one was there and no answer on phones. If you are going to be running a business you need to be open the hours you are.anna T.

Replace your roadside service company. They were not helpful at all and even lied to us about sending out a service tech. We were stranded for 5 hours and will never use your company again.TULLY T.
Got switched to Jones tire last minute by u hual, arrive for my 10 o clock appointment and no one was to be found at the store. Waited for a bit, called u hual and was told he was on a service call and to wait till he gets back. I got no courtesy call to be notified he was going on a service call, I drove over and hour and half to be there on time. The truck was dirty, beaten up, no looked over properly, power steering pump going out, oil leaks, I never wanted this truck and should've never been given a truck that was in the shape it was. After driving across country from Montana to North Carolina and breaking down 3 times in the truck U hual should be giving me back more then half the money I paid for this truck from hell I received!chad F.

Being as I put the reservation in 7 days in advance - I still hads to go out my way, drive another 85 miles to pick up the truck. Yes, I was upgraded but the distance and time set the trip back by 5 hours and when you are going cross country time is valuable and limited. If I had not placed the call the day prior to pick up, I would not have known until I was at the original location that they did not have the equipment. Millers Crossing in Sidney Montanan was the original site selected.PAUL T.

The tire blew on the trailer 7 miles from where we took off. The U-Haul dealer was prompt in coming to fix it so we could get on our way, but maybe tires should be routinely checked when they come and go from the dealer.DEBRA J.

Service was great. Although technically the shop was closed I was still able to speak with someone to explain my unfortunate situation and the importance of the service I needed. The person I spoke with made a call and was able to follow through with the scheduled pick-up.Nicole C.
i am very upset still with the way my rental was exacted i call 1800 my uhaul to set my rental and i was told a 10 foot truck would git 3 turns out they do not then i had to drive a 26 foot from plentywood mt to rapid city about 10 full and had to spend 220 dollors in in gas vary displease with uhaulDANIEL B.

I don't have any comments about the actual facility at the pick up site. Nick was nice and easy to deal with. But now let me start with my Uhaul reservation experience. I was very upset and disappointed when we arrived at 8 am, as I had indicated, to pick up the reserved 26' truck I had reserved for over a month, and checked on in advance to find that there was no 26' truck. Our whole rental need revolved around the 26' truck. We were making a big move to another state and had car reservations, return airline tickets, motel reservations, so needless to say about $4000 obligated for this trip and it all revolved around needing a 26' truck. I can't state enough a 26' truck! I as said we get to the rental site and NO 26' truck in sight. We were told there was supposed to be one returned the night before and it didn't show. We waited about an hour and then settled for a 17' truck with a pull behind trailer which changed the whole dynamic of our trip and incurred additional planning and expenses for us. Uhaul's $50 refund if they don't have your reserved equipment is not enough when it changes all of the plans made and moneys involved in the planning. It just so happened an Area Manager, Danny Hammons, showed up at the rental site when this was going on. Everyone was very apologetic but apologies don't help with the trip and plans made when Uhaul doesn't have the equipment reserved and just assumes $50 will make it all better. I don't know how I am to be reimbursed this $50 but haven't been notified about it as of yet. Mr. Hammons also promised a $200 discount coupon good for up to two years he would send to my email account and I haven't seen that yet either. All in all the Uhaul company did a very poor job with providing me with the equipment I reserved over a month ago. You would think that is plenty of time to provide what was requested. The truck ran awesome and had a lot more power than I thought it would and took the hills and mountains without any trouble and it was a very comfortable ride. As I earlier stated I am very upset and disappointed in my Uhaul reservation experience.GUY W.

Horrible job of checking hitch and wiring. Lights weren't plugged in right. Gave me wrong paperwork and charged me wrong. Feel we deserve a refund for lack of safety and service was horrible. Told me I was renting a truck not a trailer.MASON R.

There was no sign that read Jones tire.......there was 3 different phone numbers around the building.....1 was on building, 1 on the contract (which no one answered), and one number was posted on a sign in driveway. It was very confusing. When I finally got a hold of someone he told me yes this was Jones Tire and I only needed to drop key into box without paper(contract). By the way it wasn't even 5:00p.m.PAM W.
