Price for kilometer charge way too high. I would love to use your service again but most likely will not due to that reason milage charging. Home depot rents out trucks for $100/day with unlimited milage. I paid over $400 dollars for 3 days rental of a truck with uhaul.

When I picked up the van I was told it was full of gas and to fill it before returning it to avoid penalties. I drove 9 Kim's. with the van with no idling and it cost me $12.00 to fill it ( at .96/litre). When I mentioned to agent he said there was nothing he could do. I don't believe it was full when I got it, either that or vehicle was a REAL gas guzzler. Will watch next time and advise any one Elsa renting to be careful of this. Only thing that marred a great experience!!!!

Have truck we agreed upon Dot call 1 hour before pick up saying you dont have right size truck. Then tell us you'll get back to me and never did..I had moving help and elevator booked . Had to take a 15 foot truck instead of 20 foot NO CHOICE Had to leave behind couch and table. All our stuff was JAMMED IN..And upon arrival lots of things were all chipped. Stopped by Ajax office on way out of town.Was shown no empathy and were made to think were Lucky to get a truck 2700$ Unbelievably Stressful. We should be compensated this atleast!!!

The location was fine. The experience with Uhaul was NOT. They messed up our booking time by 2.5 hours, and we were unable to get our moving truck at the time we booked for despite my receiving confirmation. They attempted to fix the issue (not getting access to the lockbox to get keys to our truck at our booking time), and it was still not resolved. Then we finally got the code to the lockbox, and the keys were not inside. The location did not receive the truck or keys to our truck until after they closed, and did not feel the need to contact us since Uhaul informed them of the incorrect pickup time as well. When I called Uhaul to complain they said there was nothing they could do. Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced. Moves are stressful enough, and Uhaul simply compounded that.

The truck was NOT clean. When you opened the door it smelt like a farm animal died or vomited or both and then the truck smelt like it was left cooking in the sun for about 3 days before any doors were opened. Also the truck was 100% was not wiped down before we picked it up which is VERY concerning since we are in a pandemic of Covid. I was glad to have a can of Lysol with me to disinfect the truck. We almost threw up several times due to the smell. They did offer to return the truck but they did not have any other pick ups available so we had to use it for the day. It was HORRIBLE. They did refund us the cost of the rental, but still charged us $0.59 per KM. I think the whole thing should have been compt.

Convenient but the 10' truck had no air conditioning or ventilation. Had rain and had no way to clear condensation. This vehicle should not have been rented and I should not be charged.

The app wasn't able to pick up my phone's location, and there was nobody physically at the location to help. It was a Sunday, so I don't blame the location. I blame Uhaul for having a fully digital process with no human backup. It took an hour and 40 minutes to get the key. I had to get someone to bring me another phone because the app didn't seem to like mine. Because of the delay, I got the truck back late in the evening. If I get charged extra for that, somebody gonna get a hurt real bad. That's a Russell Peters line, not a real threat, but Uhaul does suck. When you decide to go to a digital process, you need to have some redundancies. Even when I got through on the phone (after a half hour), the person had no way of overriding the system, and then put me on hold again. Do better. I'm telling everyone that Uhaul is garbage. Let me know if and when you fix your process and I'll be happy to change my tune.

There is a major disconnect between Uhaul and it's Uhaul dealers which negatively impacts customers. You must let the customers know that you use dealers and leave no stone unturned about your operations. Your dealer on Toy Road Pickering was great but your management team sucks, which creates a lot of fustrations for your dealer and the customers. RATINGS out of 10: Management 0's, U- HAUL on Toy Road, Pickering 10 with an apology, Customer Service 0's because they don't have the courage to be transparent. Please be transparent with customers.

I did not have issues; easy and covenient. I hope that it was clean prior and after as one the questions when I returned spoke about if it was clean for another family to pick up. Due to covid 19 I would suggest that all vehicles are sanitized appropriately.

Clean and inspect vehicles thoroughly, there were chips behind the seat, the seat and dash were not clean especially during a pandemic. Then there was a metal rod protruding in the driver's seat that cut me quite deep on my left leg and scratched me on my right leg.

This location is excellent I dont know what else to improve it? The service is professional and courteous, and fast. He has the vehicle prepared and ready to go he goes through all aspects of the rental with you methodically. I and my family have rented here many times. Maybe FREE coffee?

Wasn't exactly clear where the key drop off box was? Perhaps you could include a picture of the location in the drop off instructions? Otherwise pretty straightforward experience!!

It was alittle confusing knowing where to drop the keys. The location appears to have a mail slot at the front that may be for the keys or mail. We did not feel placing the keys there was secure and opted to lock it back in box we got it from. Suggestion, get a better box for dropping keys if that box is in fact you key drop box

The guy there was awesome, he did a great job helping out. The app wasn't working properly and it was really frustrating. We asked for a dolly in our reservation and showed up to find out they didn't have one for us. Again, the guy there was great and took the charge off no problem, but it was essential equipment and we had no warning we wouldn't get one. Plus the charges that rack up are crazy. The ad says 19.95, but by the time you're out of there your paying close to $100. Will choose a different company next time.

I found the service on site very friendly and very helpful. The website, however, was not the same. I booked a vehicle for pickup at this location then realizing my mistake (the website is very confusing) I changed it to the Liverpool location within minutes. I also booked it for a mobile pickup as I needed to get it for 8:00 am not 9:00 am when the location opened. When I received my text notification the day before the location was listed as this one, not the one I had changed it to (despite the site confirming my change). A bit of an issue from a mileage perspective but it worked out so left as is. The day of the pickup, I noticed the time had also been changed to 9:00 am and not the original 8:00 am. It had also changed it to in person pickup and not mobile. This had an impact on my own schedule with a booked elevator. It all worked out and, as stated, the gentleman at this location was very friendly and very helpful. I will reluctantly use U-Haul again but you really need to sort out the web experience. Its because of the staff on the ground I will be back and not at all due to the experience and frustration from the website changing my settings without my knowledge.

After hours dropoff instructions says to place key in drop box, which this location does not have and the code I used to obtain the key didn't work either. I suggest placing an actual dropbox at the entrance to avoid confusion

We live in Canada. You need parking lots plowed and lock boxes with keys in them not frozen when customers are coming for a mobile pick up. It took us over 30 minutes for a mobile pick up and we had to find something on the ground to bang open the lock box. We also had to walk through 3 feet of snow through the parking lot to the lock box. This was VERY IGNORANT customer service. Lucky for you guys, we are too busy to deal with awful customer service and do not care about the money we spent as we should get a refund for this awful experience.

I normally use the Notion road location. Not for any real reason aside from them normally having quite the selection of vehicles. I tried the JIL location and would happily use them again if they had the vehicle I required. Quick, friendly and he knew his role. I was on the road in a reasonable amount of time. Good job guys

I ordered 15 ft truck by couple days before I picked up the truck ! On the day when I picked up the truck ! I came to retail stone on 8:50am , the guy who arrange the truck told me : u can not pick up the 15 ft truck ! But the problem is I saw there are two 15 ft park on the parking lot ! I asked him why I can not using 15 ft one ! He told me those two trucks are belong to another customers ! I told him I booked the truck very early ! Even just u don't have the truck u should notice me before couple days ago ! He told me the only option I can take is drive 10 ft truck or call customer service ! Anyway, I choose the second option, but call twice for them , first time say hi to me and hang off the phone directly , and second time the guy just say I don't want talked to u ! Hand hang off the phone again. Finally I have no choice , only can choose 10 ft truck for my delivery! This is very terrible experience I never met before
