Booked truck at oshawa location for a pickup in oshawa. Waited in line for half an hour to be told the pickup is in pickering. I will never use uhaul again because of the idiotic staff in the oshawa location.

There is rarely anyone available at this location. I received an email with an amended receipt that did I did not get. I left a phone message and even went personally to the office, and none has responded to my request for a printed copy of this receipt.

Its my first time renting in this location and it took us more than an hour to get our rental van. The self serve is not as user friendly - atleast for me (and I am a very tech person- so i thought). I would suggest that a video tutorial should be made for first time user that can be watched prior to the pick up date. I stayed on the phone for an hour figuring out how to get my access code for the key, and had to wait for a call back at the end since the system was down apparently. I thought i checked in online already when I provided my credit card information but its not the case. I had to sign in again and do other stuff on the day off the pick up (which was totally understable, if i knew the process). There's nothing wrong with van, its great. Its just the process specially for new renters. My time was wasted because of it. Plus the return box for the key is so hard to find. There was no label to indicate where to leave it. No representative on site to help. Its hard to guess the return box since the building is being shared by other businesses. This location is great for people who is familiar on how to do it. But I would not recommend this for people who are not tech savy at all.

First I wouldn't recommend U-Haul to anyone. I had a pick up reservation for 10am at a different location. The business didn't even open until 12pm and I was supposed to wait??? Then I finally got into the truck at the second location, an hour and a half later and it's covered in animal hair and smells like a barn. When I dropped it off I said the truck is dirty because it was when I picked it up and now I'm being charged $25 for a cleaning fee?? Ya no thank U-Haul. I want $50 back for you're guaranteed reservation policy since I couldn't pick up the truck at 10am as scheduled and I want the $25 cleaning fee refunded as well. I rented a truck not a farm. Thanks. First and last time I ever used U-Haul.

The lock box was vey difficult to open, which made me think the passcode was wrong. Also the app is slow and wouldn't work for pick up so had to engage customer service to help complete.

Fix the steering on the truck I rented. Very loose.

The oil light kept coming on in the truck, they didn’t have any of the tie straps or blankets I ordered.

It’s not the most organized location. However, The site manager was courteous and polite. The issue I had was that I had booked a 10 ft truck but was only told on the pick up date that it was not available. I was provided a 15 foot truck for the sam price but it was a significant inconvenience. Advance notice would have been appreciated. Also my past experience with Uhaul makes me wonder if there is a policy against renting 10 ft trailers one way. I don’t remember ever being able to get one. If that is the policy it should be clearly stated

This was my first time renting Uhaul and I’m shocked at the lack of care that was given to the truck. First of all, the guy who set me up was incompetent. He told me the tire pressure monitor was wrong and the Tires were totally fine to drive. Turns out the air pressure was 21 PSI when it is supposed to be somewhere around 80 PSI. Seems pretty unsafe to me. Would not rent from here again.

There was no one there at 3pm and there was no secure drop off box. I had to call the Ajax location who then ended up calling head office. The building is not inviting at all, the only way to tell that there is a uhaul office in there is from a flag displayed in the window amongst a bunch of other papers.
