The person who attended us was rude and arrogant. He didn't want to rent it because, according to him, it was until 7:00 pm, and it was 8:00 pm. When I called the company, they told me I had until 8:45 pm.

Customer service rep was excellent and professional. That said, this convenient store U-Haul location is not equipped or resourced to care for vehicles and did not have the dolly that I reserved. The truck interior was filthy, and had suffered from more than a few carbonated beverage explosions. It required two dozen disinfectant wipes to prep it for human use. The exterior of the truck showed evidence of several accidents including a front end impact that had bent the front bumper and driver's side lower box skirt that was bent and curled up to the undercarriage in front of the rear tire.
John YCSR offered quick, efficient service. Will do business here in the future.

It's in a convenient store, not that it is a bad, but he was dealing with other customers and my uhaul. I would never go to this location again And it's down by Darien not by the SSI causeway

Michael PPretty not great experience. Location is located within a service station. The owner/manager was completely unwilling to help until words were exchanged. This trailer rental was for a wedding and was extremely important and had been booked for over a month in advance to be sure we didn't run into problems.. Yet, we still did. This company first said.. "we don't got one of them trailers here right now". My driver showed him the reservation. He said "well I don't see your reservation on my end". That argument continued for quite some time as he assisted other customers in his store and put us in timeout to wait for him. Even though we were given a specific time to pick up the trailer.. As And, we were on time.. Finally, he gave in after 30 minutes of run around and smart talk. Then he suddenly says "I've actually got one of those trailers out back but it's reserved.. Turns out, that whole time, that trailer was my reservation! Then we had to argue about the blankets I had on my reservation. He complained and says" I have to go all the way back there and see if I can find blankets in another truck. Then, he says blankets are not on my reservation.. Showed him they were definitely on my reservation.. A really strange experience my driver dealt with at this facility. FYI - we did FINALLY get the trailer from this provider, and that trailer was there the entire time. NOTE - there was no jack stand on the trailer, and it's not light to lift with a bare hand. My driver had to pick up the tongue of the heavy trailer and set it on the hitch. Never had any experience like this. As a 36 year business owner myself, I would never talk to my customers and inconvenience them in this way.. My reservation was clear as a bell.. This should have been a quick easy pick up that nearly caused a problem with a very important wedding. For absolutely no reason. All he had to do was listen to my driver, read my reservation and make a call if needed to uhaul, if there was any questions about my reservation.
Richie LThere is a locate much closer to my drop off destination, so I don't know why I had to drive 30 minutes to get to this place. Makes no sense. The fellow at this location is not warming and inviting. He is telling you where to put it with Noah assistance at all. The grass field is completely flooded and muddy. I was only comfortable because I had four-wheel-drive.

Anthony CPROBLEM WAS THIS WAS NOT WHERE I WAS SUPPOSED TO DROPOFF- I had to drive 30 min away because the RESERVED drop off was full- AND the next closest one to that was Full! VERY INCONVENIENT WHEN MOVING- I planned on dropping off taking 30 min- not 1.5 hrs!

Michael CI had to hook up the trailer, unassisted, and pull it out of the mud. The proprietor gave me zero instruction on using the built in tie downs, they did not check that the trailer was connected correctly. They did not verify the lights were functioning. I would never rent from here again! This person will send people out with zero validation the trailer is safely hooked up.

Jesse CI reserved a 9-ft cargo van from altama Avenue Brunswick Georgia U-Haul when I arrived to pick it up they had already rented it previously to someone who extended the cargo van for more hours causing me to not get what I had reserved, the person who rented the cargo van should not have been allowed to extend the rental because I had already reserved it for the next day U-Haul has inconvenienced me and millions of other renters by allowing people to extend equipment that is already reserved for the next customer, I had to scramble to try and find another vehicle, I will definitely try my best to never use U-Haul again because of this policy of allowing someone to extend a piece of equipment that has already been reserved for the next customer. U-Haul should not have inconvenience me because I already had this equipment reserved instead U-Haul should have inconvenience the renter who was in possession of this equipment by telling them they must return the equipment at the end of their contract because the equipment is already been reserved and promised to the next customer U-Haul did not mind inconveniencing me but they refused to inconvenience the renter that is in possession of the equipment that is a stupid and inconsiderate position that U-Haul has in regards to their policy
david cGood job both of the two times I returned supermover trucks to this location. It is a convenience store also so you can buy needed gas and grocery items. Owners are friendly and courteous. We moved to a nearby neighborhood and plan to deal at this store regularly.

Nor did he even check the trailer. I am a 68 year old woman who needed assistance. He was awful!! I will never return a trailer here.

Vincent BCheck that equipment is functional when it comes in. Check that it is installed correctly on the car. Train people. Do not rent to me a trailer that comes off the car as this one did; it could have caused a very serious accident if it had slide across the road instead of off to the side of the road. The replacement trailer leaked rain into the top and caused $300 of damage. It could have been worse.

There were not any instructions or directions as to how to properly assemble the equipment. I would like to request a full refund and to speak to someone regarding this service.

phillip pI had a reservation at Storage by the Sea 11 but the truck wasn't returned on time by the previous customer so there was no truck. The assistant called places to find one, she was very helpful and is excluded from the opinions answered.The reservation was for mobile pick up at 6:00pm, luckily I got off work early enough to make it by 5:00 bifore they closed. Otherwise I would have been without a reserved truck. The assistant at Jack Rabbits, the alternative location, was rude, in our interaction both picking up and returning. Because of the unreliability of U Haul in this experience, and the lack of care,tone in speaking, attitude, lack of professionalism I will choose another company the next time I am in need of a truck.
Elaine AMy reservation was all messed up which lead me being in the uhual pick up place for two hours. This pushed everything back so I don't get done unpacking until 1am. They charged the wrong card without asking first. In the end I wasn't offered any kind of discount or apology from uhual themselves.
