Don’t change pick up location within 48 hours of pick up.
Edwin WI called the number on the sign when I arrived (I had not made previous arrangements). The owner arrived in about 30 seconds. Renting was easy. I returned the truck to the same place and dropped the key in the lock box. Easy!!
SARAH DUnattended, basically self-service. Must have a smart phone.
Stan NCustomer service was amazing. We have been affected by the hurricane and a lot of our gas stations have not had gas so he made sure that he gave me the truck that had the most gas in it. Luckily, we were able to replace it. he was super sweet and genuine and caring. I would definitely go back to this location.

WILLIAM HI dropped off after hrs and took pictures of trailer. For some reason Uhaul sent me email saying I had not turned trailer in.
MICHAEL ZTalked to a person through a ring camera even though it was during business hours. Instructed to put in an open spot and take pictures. I used the U-Haul app to return and when I was uploading photos the site crashed and when I went back in it said I did not have an active rental so I was not able to upload photos of trailer.
GARY CI was not notified before Friday May 24th as instructed for reservation for pick up, when I called at 5:00 PM the phone just rang and rang. On 5-25, When I went to the pick up location 219 Pendleton Rd Clemson They informed me it was the wrong location, I called the National number I was sent to another location for pick up, using the App for pickup, it gave me the wrong lock combination. I called the number on the door and the young man was very helpful, got me into the truck, however the gas tank was only 1/4 full, which I documented. Everyone was apologetic, but not a smooth transaction, looks like I was charged $20 for after hours pick up, that should be refunded
Elbert HThe equipment and location were fine, but picking up the truck using the app was miserable. The app had my location, but thought the pickup location was located in the Atlantic ocean. I called the support line and was immediately transferred to another number. During the entire call, the person on the other end of the line was banging on something (possibly a keyboard) throughout the entire call. I mentioned the noise to the person I was talking to, and it stopped for about 2 seconds. The suggestion for the app working incorrectly was to use the website. The website did have the pickup location in the correct location, but I was still unable to complete the check-out process. The person on the other end of the line eventually went quiet and I realized I had been hung up on. The entire process of picking up the uHaul truck took about 90 minutes.

Jaleesa AI reserved an auto transport one month in advance. It was NOT at the location/uhaul dealer, I wanted to do business with. The local Uhaul manager (Easley SC) could not be bothered to get the correct auto transport to my location. The morning of rental I did get a call that I had to drive to some other location for my trailer. Even though UHaul shows only ONE auto transport, apparently there are three different ones for different load sizes or what ever. It's some mystery. Uhaul always has crumby software, lousy web site (chevy truck with 'new body style') what the heck is that? And now add lousy customer service. You act like a monopoly, which you are, and the service, software, and locations are dumps.

Joshua CRep was a little late and didn't call... Had some trouble with checking out the vehicle at the location - I started the process, but could not verify mileage or fuel because I didn't have the key - I could not get back into the system after the rep arrived with the key. No emails contained the mileage and fuel to verify.

William KThe first truck I tried to get didn't have a key. Someone through U-Haul helped me to gain access to another truck. Took up a bunch of time especially since I had made a reservation at another location only for them to tell me I couldn't get the truck because they had to move stuff around. When I finally started driving the truck, it was super bouncy and drove rough like it needed tires rotated or an alignment. I use the truck regardless. The 2nd night the truck got stuck in mud. I called U-Haul and they quoted me $415 to do it even after having safe move coverage. I found a tow company to do the same job for $130. I have the receipt to prove it. What a rip off. Because I had to go back to work and wasn't able to return it until Thursday I was charged a total of over $500. It likely got stuck in mud due to the lack of tread per the towing company. What a terrible costly experience. I will look for other options next time. Nothing against the small business person doing the U-Haul, just the corp part of it is kind of ridiculous if you don't read the small print. Like who knew if you have safe move coverage that it doesn't pertain to being stuck in the mud.

Shennandoah AI was originally supposed to pick up the truck at banisters, which was right down the road from my home. I was switch to this new location which caused me to have to drive an extra 15 miles round-trip. No one ever contacted me and told me of the change. It being on a Sunday there was no way I could do something different so I had to go to the new location. I don't think I should've had to paid for those extra miles. Why would you send me to a location in the opposite direction of where I'm going?

William sU-Haul in general needs to get your credit card billing straightened out...it was extremely frustrating and I might reconsider using your services next time.

Laszlo BWhile ok drop off location, it's only a drop off location. There are no personnel there and no one to help you. So no one to tell about the leaking truck. The truck leaked and while not water proof, it's water resistant. Which means my stuff shouldn't be dripping in water, it covered the floor and ruined some of my household goods.

John Duntil the day of the move, I thought the truck would be at the location I selected online. It was actually 20 miles further away. The owner, who had no control of this, did take the charge for the dolly and moving blankets off my bill to help compensate.

David BWe had a little bit of a hiccup in that there was no one at the location when we went to get the truck but I was able to get in touch with Frankie and everything was handled well. The truck needed sweeping out but other than that everything was fine.

Christopher HI rented a 15 ft truck and the gas tank was below 1/4 tank. They would not give me the $30 credit. I took a picture of the fuel gauge.

Alex NWell for 1 you can see about getting an office, had to stand outside in the cold for the guy to find my reservation on a phone, 2, I reserved a 10 ft truck, he didn't have 1, put me thru to a Uhaul representative, who said I'd get a 15ft for 10ft price, that wasn't so either...I needed the truck and tow dolly, that day...so then after paying he said I had to give him $100 deposit and I'd get back after turning in my rentals...Never recieved any paperwork from him, just an email...poor service

He was flexible when ai needed the truck for some extra time and even let me park my car at his location for the day. Highly recommend. The app does need improvement.

Joey GOverall experience was terrible. Original contract had us picking up the truck in Anderson. The rental truck was not there and no one was onsite. Called the 1-800 number for help and was on hold in excess of 39 minutes. While waiting, someone approached us in a car, got out of their car and approached our car and tried to complete an illegal drug deal. The Anderson location is very unsafe and a poor reflection on your company.
Bryan BThe uhaul website is very frustrating to use. It is difficult to control what equipment you will get and where. I requested a 15' truck in Central, SC and instead got a 20' truck in Easley, SC. I understand that trucks move around and are hard to pin down, but if a reservation can't be satisfied, I would rather the website show me a list of alternatives instead of picking one for me automatically. I had to try my reservation a few times before I could get one in a reasonable location. Frankie was great though.
