Everything from start to the end went very smoothly.
Sintayehu S.This location was nice and the transaction smooth. However, I was very disappointed that I had a reservation for another location that I had reserved 10 days prior and even called on the Friday before to confirm the process of picking up the vehicle in anticipation that this location would be closed for the holiday. Then last minute my reservation gets moved to a Plainfield location because my original location didn't have the truck I reserved set up for e-pickup. Not only did I have to drive a much farther distance but had to pay for the extra mileage.

Nic R.Customer service at the pickup and drop off site was great. Would definitely use Hines Self Storage in Plainfield again. Can't say much for the app and website. App wouldn't work when I dropped off trailer and the website is slow and clunky. U-Haul need to work on both.

Mindi S.We arrived at noon on a Thursday. No one on site and the number on the sign to call, no one answered. Hopefully they were alright. Called uhaul and they couldn't reach anyone either. Another customer there to pickup equipment was rightfully upset. Uhaul had no instruction on location's after hour drop off but very helpful in suggestions on what to do.

ELIZABETH W.The remote/off-site process to pick up the vehicle at the facility was extremely slow. It took over one hour on the phone with national customer service to work through problems with the check out system. If there wasn't someone at the site when vehicle was returned, we would have had a similar problem. Signing onto the site was the problem on the return and would have had to wait 15-20 minutes (according to the recorded message) to even talk to a live person to get assistance. I will try to rent a vehicle from another business the next time. However, I do not fault the local rental facility, but I don't think the remote process of renting works well enough to rely on it at unmanned facilities.

Kyle H.Tried to cancel my reservation to a different location that would have added 80 miles to my trip due to giving my truck away. Was never told about a mileage cap, so I was charged $105 extra after returning the Uhaul. Can't find anything in the contract where it says that I only was getting 144 miles. Location of pickup didn't have any of the extras that I ordered besides an appliance dolly. So I am very frustrated with the overall experience. I didn't really have the extra money for the extra $125 charge, so I would have done everything in one trip had I known I was going to receive an extra charge on top of everything.
