This was the weirdest, most awkward experience I have ever had returning U-Haul equipment (and I have rented a LOT through the years). When I arrived, I asked the man on duty where to drop the trailer. He said, "I don't give a $#!^" and told me to call the number on the sign to check it in. I had to chock the wheels and unhook the trailer on a hill. He just stood there and watched as I struggled to keep the hitch from binding on the ball while I lifted it off. I asked if he would do a walk around inspection with me and he refused. Very strange -- very unpleasant. This place should NOT be a U-Haul rental location!!!
Eric RamseyIt was wonderful to have people who cared about their customers helping us. We arrived early not understanding that we needed to have done our paperwork before arriving. The truck was there and ready and they walked us through the process so that we could complete the rental. Good job UHaul, in this day and age of folks not always caring these people went the extra mile to help us get the rental completed and it was very much appreciated.

Anthony MendozaI had a reservation made by calling 800 number whereby I gave them all my name, address, license number, credit card number, etc, but had to repeat all of it when I picked up. What’s the point of a reservation if the info isn’t forwarded to the location? Thankfully the owners of the Hillcrest location were kind and apologetic for the delay.

LAURENCE BROWNWhen employees were standing outside they did not check on us and then when we started to walk toward the building to ask a question they went inside and would not answer the door. We were unable to submit our pictures for the return due to this.
Brendon WeaverI had trouble returning the Truck and Trailer through the app, I dropped it off at the scheduled time for drop off and even spoke with the lady that worked there then contacted customer service at U-Haul that I was having trouble with the App and they still chargede an extra day even though I returned it on time, very disappointed on how un user friendly the App was., and that I was charged extra because of it.
Debbie watersThe owner of the location called me and asked me to arrive early because they had other business matters to handle. When I advised her I would have to arrive at noon as expected she got frustrated and stated “Well since you’re going to be late” I had to interrupt her and corrected her reminding her I would be on time as per my arrangements with Uhaul. The guy I picked the truck up from was too busy trying to avoid the rain to walk around the truck with me. Told me he didn’t want me loading my car up onto the trailer there. I was by myself and couldn’t exactly drive two vehicles. I will never use this location again. Very rude all around.

Needless to say, the process was not easy as she was hard to hear with all the background noise and she had to run my information twice. In addition, this location was unable to take cash and that would have been helpful to know ahead of time. This location was disgusting and run down.

Neil CrozierI think it’s time for this truck to retire….ripped seats, windows you have to crank, and the truck rattled all the way down the road Also my pickup location got switched but I never got any notice of this. This made me 30 minutes late to meet my movers. I will say the lady at the mini storage place was a hero and got everything checked in on the phone for us or we never would have gotten through to the actual U-HAUL people and would have missed our movers entirely.

John BlueThe cab was very dirty. Looks like someone spilled something in the floorboard and it was never cleaned. The cargo area was disgusting also. I had to clean it myself before I could load my stuff into it or my stuff would have been filthy… I have pictures of the mess that was left behind that I cleaned up myself if anyone wants to see.
Brian StoutWe reserved and paid for an auto transport however we did NOT take it. It didn't work for my husband's truck. We left it there with the two gentleman that was working. We were told we would be reimbursed when we turned it in to the panama city location. WE.DID NOT GET A REFUND WHEN WE TURNED IT IN AND WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REFUND and we cannot get any one to help.

They were in professional and didn’t even know how to check out the truck, and triple charged me. I need this corrected please reach out to me at 4792358908.

DOUG YOUNGThis location was terrible. The location was closed for the week. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very rude. No one was available to help me take the trailer off my truck. They spoke to me as if I was bothering them because “they are at their second job”. They told me to disconnect the trailer by unhooking the cotter pin from my truck and driving around until the trailer fell off. These people are lazy and rude 0/10000 star review

KENNETH BURCHFIELDI feel like U-Haul needs to be more transparent about pricing. I came to uhaul for of the $39 per day rate. When I got the estimate for what I planned on using the uhaul for the estimate was 7 times higher than the over the phone quote.

ANNA CORSBYWe had no issues once we got our truck, but the man running the location was extremely rude and unhelpful. We made our reservation through them the week prior. I called the day before and they said they didn't have any trucks available. I called the 1-800 number and Michelle was very helpful and told me our truck would be there. We arrived a few minutes before 9 am and the man that runs the pickup facility seemed very put off about us being there. He even talked rudely about us "walk-ins" on the phone in front of us. He then locked the office door and basically said good luck and left. We had to call the 1-800 number again to get our code, keys, and truck. It was an awful experience. I would never do business with them. If it wasn't for Michelle helping us on the phone, I guess we wouldn't have been able to get the truck.
