Worst customer service i ever had. The person supposed to serve a customer was bossy. I brought a truck back with gas above the line it was supposed to be. He wanted to see my gas receipt which i didnt have as U haul personal do not need to ask. Even after adding gas for $10 more at his gas pumps, he charged me extra for gas. Your mileage rates are outrageous when you advertise for $19.95 for a day. I had the vehicle for 3 hours and my bill was $85+ plus fuel. 3 hours. That's highway robbery. Your mileage rates are OUTRAGEOUS. I will never recommend UHAUL for short hauls.Margaret S.

The van was quite dirty inside the cargo area and the cab floor. I doubt it was sanitized between customers. I drove less than 30 kilometres so put 4.3 L ($5) of gas in. I was told the expected gas usage is based on a calculation per km so the clerk asked for additional funds. Should have been explained at pick up.Mary H.
I really suggest to add backup camera or sensor to the U-Haul trucks; without back up cameras they are not safe. Thanks,Azadeh H.

I drove 18 kilometres , the gas gauge on the truck didn't move from 3/4 of a tank (the starting amount of the rental). The Hawkstone location determined that the UHaul policy was $1 per every 3 kilometres for fuel. I was charged $6 for fuel when I at most used $2.00 worth. The location said this was UHaul policy, but was not in my contract.Timothy Mark C.

I have raised a complaint as the cargo van was not clean and had fresh paint (pictures available) and I was not able to use properly. In addition, the agent charged extra fuel without my consent saying it does not matter that I filled it up to same meter reading it was. I'm extremely disappointed as this is the first time I faced this and I have been using u-haul for the past 5 years.Qusai A.

The customer service isn't the greatest. Lack of staff for helping others. Disorganized, moving boxes everywhere, sign saying people who purchase gas has priority even though if your there earlier. There was no walk around the trailer to ensure that there was no damages or anything. Just not a great experience.Nelson C.

The operator at the cashier was so unprofessional. When he was giving me the van, he said that the tank is at 3 quarter full and you need to bring it back with same amount. I told him why don't you full the tank and I bring it full too. (Last time I had this experience that bringing back the truck, I filled it so the gas indicator shows the same amount, but when returing the truck, he said that you filled it too little and he charged me extra based on some calculations he did not explain). This time he explained that they consider 1 letter consumption for every 4 kilometer of driving. I accepted it and when I brought it back, I calculated how much I need to fill, and it was less than 10 liter, but I filled 11 liter, just in case. He asked for the gas reciept and I showed him. He was happy then. When get back home, he called me and acqusing me that I lied and filled the gas into anpther car. He was so rude and when I was shocked about his call, he ended the call. I won't go to this location again and will let my friends know about it too.Ali R.

The owner/person at the front desk was not very accommodating and seemed to be a bit rude when I went to pick it up. I had the vehicle for 2 hours, but they started calling me after 1 1/2 hours and asked me when I would drop it off. When I went to drop off the van, they asked me to take a picture of the mileage and gas level. The gas level was good which was above the mark as compared to the time I picked it up. I drove 35 kms and put 10 liters of gas in the vehicle. They wouldn't agree initially, but when I persisted, they did. Other customers were also listening and we're laughing at him. Not a good experience for me as fas as customer satisfaction is concerned. I would have done a far better job had I been in their place. 2 stars only. I would not recommend that location to anyone else.Amit B.

Staff at the location were rude. Sign posted at counter (in convenience/gas store) read â€œUhaul Policy: Uhaul customer wait time is 10-30 minutesâ€. As far as I am aware, this is not a Uhaul policy but rather a store policy. Truck cab was filthy (sticky cup holders with trash inside) and truck bed unswept, with screws on the floor. Truck was rented out with less than 1/4 tank, but tried to make me return it with a 1/2 tank. I rent Uhauls a few times a year for work, and this was my first time using this location. I will never return to this location.Evangeline R.
Customer service was poor. The guy kept me waiting while giving priority to his convenience store customers from behind in the queue. He was not honest in fuel level . I give him the tank above the level received, he still charged me $7 extra for fuel. I showed him the before and after pics of the fuel guage but he he wanted to rip me off, which he did.. S.

I do not trust this franchisee. Vehicle had poor alignment and was in my view dangerous to drive (had an inspection from Jan 2021 from same location). I do not trust any location that rents vehicles with less than a full tank as it allows them to argue with the customer over $5 of gas. I have rented from UHaul several times in past 3 months - first and last time with this location.Nicolas D.

Customer assistance in regards to hooking up to the trailer is pathetic. Assistant didn't know he shouldn't lift the trailer by the light cord and figured 2 out if 3 safety chains was sufficient, feeling that the chain for the trailer emergency brake wasn't necessary.John G.

I felt scammed. I picked up the truck with 1/2 a tank of gas and the truck bed was very dirty. Prior to returning the truck, I swept out the the back of the truck and filled it up with gas to where I had left it. Upon speaking to the gentleman at the counter, I showed him the pictures of the truck bed and the gas tank. He then told me that I didn't put enough gas in the tank and I needed to clean out the and put in more gas because he marked the gas at being at 5/8ths rather than the true 1/2 measurement. I was returning the truck cleaner than I had received it but the cashier told me to sweep it out again. He also asked me to put $5 more into the tank. I feel like he was scamming me in order that the bill would be over $100. He charged me more for mileage, but only for what I used. I did as he asked of me, put in $5 more gas and swept out the truck bed further. I then took pictures of the gas gauge and truck bed again. He didn't ask to see them. I would happily drive across the city just to avoid using this guy again. Probably will avoid Uhaul altogether going forward.Jonathan W.
Trailer was basically in snow drift and covered with snow. No one came out to help hook up trailer to vehicle until I was already hooked up so took awhile with hitch & trailer in the snow.David W.

I would avoid this location at all costs, not only was the owner rude towards us he actually threatened us with additional charges that where not our fault and also threatened an 85 year old woman verbally. U haul needs to take a long look at this individuals work ethics and seriously make some changes. UNBELIEVABLE.Bruce M.
The fellow who received my return was beyond stellar. He filled the gas for me and parked the truck. Just outstanding service. The truck itself was in dire need of attention. The suspension was completely shot and the ball joints were very badly worn. It was difficult to steer straight and bordered on dangerous, especially for an inexperienced driver.Timothy C.
the 10 foot truck I had was fantastic however I did notice that the oil life is at zero percent and should be changed. Otherwise it was a great truck. I wish I could even buy one like that.KEVIN B.
