The truck rented did not have a ramp, which was not helpful. When renting an appliance dolly, the vendor might have pointed out that the truck did not have a ramp for loading appliances and could have suggested a truck that did. The cost per km was not reviewed at time of pickup. Therefore we were very surprised by the charges.JohnBrian C.

Many parts broken in vehicle, vent and trim inside by door, which is fine. Defective seatbelt is a safety hazard. Consistently dings as if not hooked up properly. Please look into issue as could be grounds for legal action if something were to happen.Jesse M.
I was called early to pick up the truck at a different location then I reserved however, when I got there my truck wasn't there. Despite making a reservation a month ago. The attendant blew it off and offered me a bigger truck for the same price. However I do not have a lot of stuff and did not want my things rolling around in the back and getting broken. I wanted the truck I reserved. The attendant was also very rude oh, sarcastic, and Unapologetic. Absolutely disgusted by his lack of customer service and the way he treated me!!!TARA W.
Please find another location as central to rent your vehicles, the check in person was fine but the check out person Vijay (he said his name was) was the worst I have ever encountered. I have been a customer for over 50 years and at one time was a U Haul outlet in Las Vegas,Nevada , USA.. This man`s attitude is worst than bad and i will never want to go back there again and would encourage no one to deal with him ever.George M.

This was my first time using Uhaul. Although the equipment was well maintainted and clean and booking online was super easy, I had a fair bit of hassel getting the Uhaul. I had booked for a van since I didn't have many items to move, but when I went there for my pickup time, the van hadn't yet been returned by the previous renter. The attendant told me they'd call me once it was in. An hour later, I get a call and they tell me that they'll give me a box truck instead. They did give it to me at the same rate, which I appreciated, however, it was far larger than I was preparing to drive. The attendant at that time (different than the first) also wasn't clear with what I needed to do. He told me to go outside and his "buddy" would be out with the truck and I could get the key from him. Since I've never used Uhaul before, I thought that meant the guy outside would give me the key and I'd be good to go. Turns out what he meant was to get the key, come back inside, sign paperwork, and then be able to take the truck. Additionally, I rented a dolly. The inside attendant told me to go out behind the storage container to get it. I did so and saw they were all chained up. I was about to go back inside to inquire about it, but the other guy came along with the key, laughing as if I'd done something silly. I told him the guy inside just told me to come get the dolly behind the storage container. Using the equipment itself was fine, but dealing with the people doling out the equipment wasn't pleasant. For that reason, I will probably try to avoid that location.Laura B.

The worker I had to deal with was beyond rude and unhelpful, also supplied me with the wrong size of truck and did nothing to help or compensate, would stop on the middle of our transaction to start servicing other people and disregarded me. I felt because I'm a young woman (23) he treated me with 0 respect and as I knew nothing, I have used uhaul on multiple occasions and have never had the experience or interaction as I had yesterday. moving a home is stressful enough and this employee just made the day a lot more challenging and infuriating than it needed to be. His customer service has me questioning if I ever want to even use a uhaul again after messing up my truck size and displaying no amount of compassion and continuing to disrespect me through the entire transaction on pick up and drop off.Sierra N.

First reservation at another location was cancelled (by the location, as indicated by customer service rep), despite the indication of a â€œguarantee or $50 is givenâ€. Bare minimum of scheduling another reservation was offered, an upgrade to a 15 foot truck but based on the cost, highly doubting it was free of charge for the upgrade.Alexandre B.

Even though I booked days before - the truck I reserved was not available- and the owner was RUDE. We took the van offered instead. He made me bag up the rented blankets myself AND take them to his storage container for him! I will never use this location again.Laretta C.

Service was slow and frustrating. I was looking forward to using my mobile phone to rent the truck but this location wasn't set up for that. Also I was told that if I parked my own car in the area marked for UHaul then my car would be towed and so I had to park in another location. I will never use this location again.Stephen D.

Appreciated the offer to pick up truck earlier than booking but in the end still only had fir 24 hours. But was good to load up night before. The truck was not cleaned off of snow at pick up. Would have expected that it would be cleaned of snow. Other than that experience was good, overall above average.Brad M.

The sign out process was flawless but when we got to the truck, it was covered in snow and ice. It was also surrounded by drifts of snow that had not been cleared. We were afraid that we would get stuck. Thank goodness I had my snow brush to clear the truck off. Also, once we started to load that latch was frozen solid and took some time and finagling to get it open. I was not impressed and will not rent from that location again.Leslee H.

I will never ever rent a uhaul truck again I was lied to 3 times from your company and hastey market was very rude.They charged me extra for fuel when I was told to bring it back with a quarter tank and it was above quarter then I they charged me extra for mileage when I was not told about spent 2000 dollars on a one way rental then charged extra at the end. I was not told that I had free storage for a month and received no credit for that when I already rented storage from welland storage so thanks for nothing and making our move more stressful I will never ever shop at hastey market and never ever rent or recommend uhaul to anyoneJESSETHOMAS B.

I had nothing but problems with the store owner of hasty market which is where the U-Haul is. When I initially went to pick it up my online documentation shows that I need to pay $100 deposit the owner tried to charge me 200 so then I only took it for one day instead. I picked it up at 12:30 PM on that day when I dropped it off it was at noon because he had told me that if I returned it any later I would be charge for an extra day. I have the documentation of the pictures of the check I did 27 miles I put gas in it went to the exact same spot where I received it which was just over full and he stated that it was not enough gas and that it didn't matter what the gauge said that 27 miles was equivalent to $16 not $10 worth cash also when I place the order online it stated that I did not want the insurance and also I had put in 23 miles or 25 miles I can't remember exactly what it was but I do have the documentation to prove it when he put it through instead of two days at one day he put the quote at 50 miles which came up to $70 plus he also added the insurance not only was he rude and condescending and yelled at me he also refused to serve the person that came in with me even though they had a medical exemption. I've rented from that specific U-Haul 5 times in 2021 and had no problems. This last time was horrific and I will never rent from that location again.Brenda B.

Awhile back I had a major issue with this Uhaul. I feel as though there has been tremendous improvement to management. The Man that looked after me on Christmas Day, was professional, helpful, and kept me relaxed as I rented. My car had broken down all I could get wwas a cargo truck!!!! The truck just reeked on smoke and i don't think it was cleaned or sanitized because there was a used vaping pipe left on seat. I took a picture of gas tank before and when I returned vehicle and gas gage was exactly the same and the man who runs the gas station made me out at least $20 more in.Noelle B.

Email receipt right away or give a physical copy right away. I was told the amount was $43 and change, however when I checked my credit card transaction I was charged $55.99. Lol for what?! I filled it with gas and I don't smoke. No explanation as to why I had to pay extra. I would avoid this location in the future.Dave S.

The clerk demanded that I put in more fuel even after it was already full. I didn't want to argue so I drove back sound and out in some more fuel to the point it over spilled. I drove the truck about 10 km and had already put $10 of fuel in it. When I questions him he said that the gauge was a bit fuller which wasn't the case I had picture of before and after.Steve C.

The guy at the cash was on the phone while we stood there for a good 5 minutes. Think he was selling something as there was negotiating happening and talk of "come see it". Finally acknowledged us and was like do you have a pics of the mileage...no "hello", can I help you... nothing. Ended up checking in online as he was NOT comparable to the wellington location service levels.Andrew H.

The man at the store said it wasn't his problem and I had to take it up with the other store. I told him I did not have a phone to call and he told me "that's a you problem" and told me to "get the f^(k out of his store" 10/10 do not recommend this location. Very rude, and not helpful. they wildly overcharged us for gas and mileage It cost us almost $600 for a 12 hr rental to Maple Ontario and back They doubled the price of gas and the price per mile. Stay as far away as possible from the Hasty market on Niagara street in Welland!Retta B.

A rental van that would cost 19.99 becomes 109.00 for the day if you are going anywhere for the rental to be useful. I can live with the $109 but being charged a full day for being 2 hours over is unacceptable. I can get the same vehicle at Carter Rental for a lot less and not get gouged for a couple hours late. The operator at this location was also not aware I had pre reserved the rental the day before and was quite busy with daily operations of the store and check in was unnecessarily long.CHRIS L.
The gentleman that served me asked inappropriate and invasive questions which would be considered rude in my profession as a teacher. The van was clearly dirty on the outside and had not been washed. The interior also needed to be properly swept and dried as it was wet in the middle of the cargo bay of the van. If it were not for the price, convenience of location and availability I would have gone to the location on Welland Ave in St. Catharines where the employees were much more courteous, knowledgeable and thorough in ensuring the vehicle met a customer's expectations.sam S.

The parking space is not clearly signalized, where we can park the trucks. Also online said there should be a key deposit box, and there was none, I left the keys with the gas station clerk, not sure if that was the right thing to do. I was also asked by him to park the 26in truck in a very narrow parking space, because the other space blocked the car wash, well then it shouldn't be a parking space right? The place looked like an improvised Uhaul space, instead of a proper business.FABRICIO A.
