I had been put on E-alertâ€¦a beer can had been left in back of truck i had returned to a Jacksonville location in Julyâ€¦lady could not resolve my problem gave me another given an 800 # to callâ€¦person couldn't help eitherâ€¦ gave me initial 800 #â€¦ Fortunately owner of Auto Medics was able to call someone who resolved problemâ€¦ a 30 minute delay in picking up truckâ€¦ great truckWILLIAM K.
Larry is incredibly rude. The whole customer experience with Uhaul has fallen off a cliff the past 10 years. Unfortunately there is no alternative so you've been able to let it continue.Carlos M.

The worst experience ever. I will never use Uhaul again. My emailed in writing confirmation stated i had a 2 day rental for 144 miles. I arrived and I dot not have that. The pick up location was NOT what i ordered on the phone with the rep. I NEVER even mentioned that location. NO ONE would help me. 1.5 hours sitting at this site in the rain and 4 techs on the phone, and NO ONE would resolve. THE rudest person ever works onsite. We had to deal with his rudeness for 1.5 hrs on top of not having the correct reservation. No one cared that I had it in writing for a 2 day rental. They moved my mileage down to 107 even tho i had 144 in writing! Again NO ONE would help. So i was forced to pay more for less than i reserved. I should get a refund! The entire check in would not work. And the rude worker just laughed and said â€œcall it inâ€. Well there was a 45 min wait to call in. I am absolutely appalled i was lied to by the 1st phone rep on both price, days to rent and return location. 2 phone rep confirmed I had 144 miles at my then correct return location. That rep lied too as I immediately got an email stating the opposite. The 3rd rep dud not lie but said she had no idea why how it reverted to 107 miles and 1 day rental and different return location. But she said she couldnt help and talk to a scheduler. So then the scheduler saw it all but said he could not do anything about it. Such a NOT SO FUN 1.5 hour experience. This was a bait and switch for sure. I want a refund!Jerry H.

The original Drop Off Location was 190 miles from Bluffton, SC, my destination. There are 4 U-Haul locations in the Bluffton area put none would take the trailer. David at the pickup location made arrangement to drop off the trailer in Hardyville, SC. about a 40 minute drive from our home.Dick F.

Absolute best best experience at Hardeeville Small Engine Repair today! Larry(Owner) was randomly there on his day off and saved my life by helping me load my new motorcycle on the uhaul! Highly recommend this location for all your shipping and moving needs! Not sure why someone wrote a comment saying he runs a meth operation over there however it's as ridiculous as it sounds and it's simply not true! Sunday Afternoon dropoff, so the location was closed. I wanted to drop it off in Bluffton SC. A text from U-Haul told me to drop it off in Beaufort SC 30 miles away... if you need something moved...you move it. That 30 miles was in the opposite direction that I was going. ended up dropping it off in Hardeeville SC ..still out of my way.STEPHEN R.

This place might be a meth lab. The front door is locked and you have to ring a buzzer to be let in. The windows are blacked out. The guy who works there clearly just got out of prison. He also barely speaks. It definitely seemed like a dangerous environment. Go check it out if you don't believe me.Timothy C.

We were told we had to drop off on line before we left the site. The uhaul website was hard to follow so we tried calling uhaul and we're told that there was a 56 minute wait! Please make the website more user friendly.DAVID O.

Attendant was rude and lacked customer service skills. No personality. Did not greet on any form or said his name. Did not even use hospitable words such as please and thank you. Did not settle my bill and gave me no idea how much it would be. Will not use this location in the future.FREDDIE H.
Give your customer the option of buying your insurance. It was added to my contract without my knowledge. Therefore l paid more for the rental than your website lead me to believe. That's being deceptive.Ernest S.
This location was closed so I had to check in on line. I tried to drop off at two other locations, but they were not taking any more trailer. The second location was scheduled on my contract and this lady was rude and would not help. You are making you logistics problems you customer's problem. Very bad experience.Jeff W.

We drove over an hour to the first location and the trick we reserved was not available. We called customer service and they found another truck 40 min away so we decided to go there. We drove to the second location and the owner was nasty with us. I will never use Uhaul again.Ashraf A.

This review is not conducive to the overall experience. My initial pick up location was changed and I wasn't notified until the last minute. I was then told by the new location that I couldn't pick up until noon!!! However the owner allowed me to pick up a day earlier. The drop off was horrendous. I went to the drop off place then was informed that they did not accept trailers. I did NOT receive a notice from Uhaul about the drop off location being changed. I had to find that out from the first place I went. The drop off location was WAY out of my way. The Uhaul communication for this transaction was horrible. I will seek other modes of transportation next time. I'm done with UhaulMike S.

The representative was extremely helpful. He had the receipt processed and the checkout process was very smooth. The dropoff site was within 10 miles of our destination and was easily accessible. The owner/operator was made aware of the deficiencies and said he would make the corrections. Very satisfied with this site.Mitchell L.

I was scheduled to pick up the trailer about 4 miles from my home but pickup location changed to a 45 minute drive. The issue is that Hilton Head Island doesn't allow trailer rentals but Uhaul scheduled by pickup on the island originally. I only found out two days prior to pick up that I was going to have to make an hour and a half round trip to get it.STEPHEN W.

The owner of this Uhaul location agreed to let me drop off the trailer at his business even though the national customer service department screwed up and sent me to a rental location that does not accept one way trailer rentals. The local customer service rep was very helpful while the customer service rep at the national call in center was useless.GEOFFREY B.

When I rented the trailer I was given a location in Bluffton to return it. That location does not accept trailers and I had to search for a location that would take it - THEN I got charged an after hours service fee. Very sloppy service by UHAUL that should not have happenedMarc R.
I would recommend opening on weekend hours when most people have time off to actually move and such. It was very difficult to coordinate outside of the typical 9-5 business hours.Andrew B.
