The U-Haul was dirty (had to sweep it out before I could load my stuff. There was roaches all in the truck, had to go get roach spray to spray the truck down.

Was supposed to pick up at 9th ave location. Had to drive additional 40 miles and add 2 hours time to pickup truck. Had people waiting at home to load. This experience was not good. The people at H&B were wonderful. Was promised $50 for additional fuel cost but nothing was noted. I would not recommend uhaul for rental any more

There was no note to call the company when we got their after hours for our 24/7 pickup. We spent over an hour on hold with u-haul to figure out why the online check-in wasn't working, to never have anyone answer the line. The next morning the people were great here and apologized that there were not instructions in the contract to call them.

I was quoted 140$ for local move. I was then charged an additional 58$. Then upon return I was again charged 58$ and an additional fee of 160$ making my 140$ rental actually costing me 416$. After an hour plus on the phone with U-Haul I recied a 63$ refund. Still way above the 140$ quote I originally recied. I'll find another company next time I need a truck.

We'll. I'll probably never use uhaul again. Drove through some rain moving to Savannah ga from Grayson Kentucky and ruined almost all of our furniture. Truck leaked in multiple places and back door doesn't seal. Cost us an unexpected 1500. Might have well have drove our car an started over fresh. $1500+uhaul and gas. Rental. Could have furnished a home.

The truck was very dirty inside. There was dirt, debris and ashes spread in the cab. Very bad smell in cab. These trucks are not being cleaned and sanitized. The lady at the location was rude and not professional.

Place was closed so I didn't know where to place key or lock up truck ...tried to call support waited about 45 mins and no help...could've been really screwed if someone got in truck and took off with it...could've been a bad situation I could've been liable for !!!

Our reservation was made for a 20' truck for the downtown location on 9th Avenue in Huntington, WV (1 mile from our home) and at the last minute they called and switched our reservation to the H&B Metal location in Grayson, KY., a full 75 mile round trip (2 hours) the wrong way. We had already checked in and paid in full online but were made to stand in line behind others and go through the whole process again once we arrived. Why? What is the point of paying and checking in online if you have to go through it all over again? The truck we were given was a 26' truck instead of a 20' as reserved, which is a problem because we can't get a 26' truck up our steep driveway making the move MUCH, MUCH, MUCH MORE DIFFICULT. The lady at the desk in KY was rude and painfully slow and our moving helpers had to be delayed which meant we had them for less time as a result. This lady also kept acting like she was doing us a favour with the larger truck which could not have been farther from the truth. When we picked up, the truck was filthy both inside the cab and inside the cargo area which had what appeared to be broken drywall everywhere. The office was so dirty we didn't want to touch anything, the windows were open and flies were everywhere and it was very hot inside. To top it off, despite asking, we were not given the full extra 75 miles we had to drive, nor was our drop off time extended to accommodate the extra 2 hour timeframe for having to go out of our way to pick up at this location. This was another horrible U-Haul experience thanks to this location and the downtown Huntington, WV location. U-Haul is getting worse and worse as time goes on (equipment condition, customer service, cost) and locations like these two certainly dont leave a person with favorable thoughts. Honestly, I just don't think U-Haul gives a damn about their customers they way we are treated and I would consider this location an epic fail to be avoided at all costs.

H&B provided excellent customer service! My original reservation was input with the wrong date and they worked with me to change it. My flight was delayed causing me to be late for pickup and they again worked with me. The additional customer service was very appreciated.

Good experience with reserving, picking up, and returning the U Haul. The employees were are very kind and helpful. There was only one small glitch. We asked for, and paid for a dolly, and there was not one in the u-haul. We probably should have checked to see if it was in the truck before we left.

The truck I rented was nearly new according to mileage, but it drove and rode horribly bad. It appeared every tire was out of balance. It reminded me of a rebuilt wreck, I had rented same size truck a week earlier and had totally different experience.

Have a bench seat in the vans or a center console insert would be nice. Carrying a purse or fragile object is hard when the floors of the vehicles are muddy/dirty. You cannot blame the dealers for this, they stay too busy to deep clean the vehicles. We brought ours back cleaned/disinfected, but that doesnt mean others will.

The mobile check in process did not work. If I had not edited my time to an earlier time before business was closed, I wouldn't have been able to get it that day. The utility dolly was not available and was very much needed. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful.

Friendly people however I was told I would be billed when truck was dropped off and the immediately debited my account. They also quoted me one price and charged another after he bad mouthed battery terminal salesman for doing the same thing. Saying if I had gone there it would have been a low rate and then extra charges would apply at drop off. My husband and I are on disability and it was definitely not expected that our truck would breakdown but at least tell me the truth about charges. With this experience I hope I do not need another rental.
