The improvements I'm suggesting are Customer service classes, to all those employees. There is no organization. They charge me for an extra day and I was there but 24/7 locators said the truck had to been parked across the street in there lot which I could get in and nobody told me that the office in which I rented truck where they brought it to the door to check out. So I gave the key to associates and they lied to me a said they would take care of it. Then falsely charges my card. Communication Could have solved all this. There tone and attitude was so unconcerned and like so what didn't want to help me and I really felt disrespected I still held my composure with dignity and self respect in that public place I wait for 1hr for them to help because it was unorganized and customers are shouting and saying where is the line and they just hand picking the loudest customers to help them first. No social distancing and smells like rats in the building because the place wasn't clean and fowl order while I was waiting for them to find someone who knew how to enter uhaul truck and rent like I stated before I couldn't get on website in the beginning because I found out after that you have to be in the lot across the street

The guy who checked me in seemed new. He wanted me to just drop key in drop-box. When I said I needed documentation of when the vehicle was dropped off; a colleague went through the process with him. He then went out to vehicle checked mileage and gas; noted time and gave me a receipt.

It was ok . The truck wouldn't start loose battery cable had my son tighten it after got it home then it was fine. Should get credit for repair.. other then that issue it was good.

I had difficulties getting the truck. I spent a longtime waiting for a rep. to hell me get the key. I was over charged. Someone was supposed call me to dispute the charges. Ut I never recieved a phone call.

the two guys that helped me where helpful and nice but it took 2 hours, i was charged more than i was suppose to be (ended up being refunded), the truck was super dirty in the cab, found tobacco and marijuana residue in the cup holders, found a small joint in the door jam. it smelled like marijuana. i had to clean up dirt and some sort of dried spill.

I dropped the trailer off after closing so I never entered the shop or met any reps. The digital return process via phone and camera was easy to follow and a positive experience.

I'm going to give the location a good rating however don't advertise as $29.99 and then add $40 in fees. Bad experience for me. Not a big fan.

Check out took way too long. Employee didn't know what they were doing. Truck had almost a half tank less fuel in it than what was noted on the check out sheet. It had 30 miles till empty, sheet said it was just below a 1/2 tank. So I had to fill up the truck before I could even go anywhere, return it with too much gas, and then argue with the employee when I returned the truck over the gas even though I brought it to their attention when I checked out and they claimed to correct the sheet so that when I returned there'd be no problem. Overall this was a terrible experience; it cost me an extra $15 in gas, I had to argue with the employee, and it took forever. I only go here because it's close to my house.

My equipment was dirty and they gave me dirty furniture pads. Calling 1-800-go uhaul didn't help either. Very bad experience.

Apparently the uhaul system was down. I had to wait in the store for 90 minutes after my scheduled pick up time to be able to get my truck. They could not get in contact with the field manager, they couldn't locate a different truck. There was only one person in the store helping us. He was trying but it was ridiculous that I had to wait so long. I tried to call customer service and was placed on hold. I finally was able to get my truck but there was a gentleman there before me that was still waiting.

The truck I received was a bit dirty inside the cab and the storage space in back. This seems to be a common problem with auxiliary U-Haul locations, as these facilities often have no way to clean out the trucks so they can end up being rather dirty.

This location: 11828 Conant St, Hamtramck, MI 48212 is not in a safe area of town. We were not familiar with the area since we just moved here. Please do not let people drop off their equipment here after hours. We were afraid to get out of the car.

The trailer was so old and rusted. The ratchet straps were short. The location does not provide any help with the trailer as far as loading instructions.

The truck was pretty dirty, the cabin was sticky and gross and the back was grimy and smelled bad, truck was fine other than that , just had to put down blankets to not get my stuff dirty

The 15' truck was open to the elements when we went to pick it up and was not clean, kind of dusty and dirty. But, the truck was ready and were at our move location within minutes. The pick up location was very close to where our move originated, so it was very convenient, which I is why I recommend it.

The staff here really doesn't know what they're doing. I don't think it's an actual uhaul location, but just a hardware store that stores uhauls as well. I would recommend an actual location. I had originally selected an actual uhaul location near my apartment, but at the last minute was switched to this location because mine did not have the actual truck I requested. This was not a good experience and I would recommend uhaul figure this out..

Employees at this location are very unprofessional the only reason I did not use another location is that I was pressed for time. I would NEVER use this location again or recommend it to anyone. Service was horrible. They had no customer service skills & I hate spending MY money with people like that.

This is a very busy store. Trying to get someone's attention for Uhaul was a bit much. Especially on the return. The truck wasn't cleaned out before my rental. I took pics. The managers response was, "and...".

They were really slow. They had a new guy learning the job and I was in a hurry. So it took me 20 minutes to get my rental and 20-30 minutes to return it.

How about NOT inconveniencing your customers by switching the pickup location a day before. I reserved a truck months in advance and don't understand why there wasn't a truck available at the location I chose. I should have been first in line to get one.

Workers are aren't attentive and rude, one worker was smoking a cigarette while talking to me and was smoking it when he entered the vehicle to check the miles. Vehicle didn't have a full tank of gas and was poorly parked when I got it. Worst UHaul experience ever.

Hamtramck Hardware couldn't use the own system properly, so I ended up having to wait an hour to finally get my U-Haul trailer. They told me that they didn't have the trailer I ordered online and that I should personally call U-Haul to find another location or to sort things out. The U-Haul representative had to call them after putting me on hold and helped them realize that they did in fact have the trailer in question; it was across the street in their U-Haul storage lot. I couldn't believe what a hassle this was and it caused me to have to drive through rush hour with the trailer rather than leaving before rush hour started like I had planned on. I won't be using small mom and pop places like this anymore. I'll be sticking to full U-Haul locations going forward.

One of the trailer straps was broken, the ratcheting mechanism was loose and missing the main bolt. We were assigned a trailer that someone else was loading. We were sent to this location because the call center person messed up our original reservation, this cost us hours of travel time and twice what the original price was supposed to be. All in all, this experience with Uhaul was horrible. Called cutomer service and was told I had to wait 72 hours to hear back...nice service...not happy.

Honestly, I'm not sure I will ever use U Haul again. The location was chaotic. I made reservations early but it took a good while before I could get the truck. Furthermore, my cost was significantly more than I was told online. I even had to repeat some of the details that I had entered online such as the equipment I needed and the drop off location.

I didn't speak with the staff when dropping off the vehicle, my girlfriend's mother did. However they didn't seem super knowledgeable and the guy did ask her to park the truck and auto transport across the street and he seemed to not want to do it.

Changed the location of my pickup, pickup was a hassle as I was told different prices at pickup than what was on my reservation, truck did not include the dolly I ordered, made my move so much more stressful than it needed to be.
