They are not good at all the girl at the store was great help at the hamden filling station but u haul is terrible there I would not go there again

No cell service had to keep walking from truck to where i could get pictures to load it was darkkout when i droped it off so drop off pics ducked

Haley MTook over 2 hrs to get the keys out of the lock box. There was no physical person there to assist me. The truck had less gas than it said it did. The truck was parked backed into a damn tree so we couldn't even give the operator the license plate number without moving the truck first. And you only had 2 trucks there which sucked.
ANGEL ANo help, the girl in the store who gives the keys claimed to know nothing about the process i waited 3 hours for the key SHE HAD . Customer service took just as long kept losing connection because of poor cell service just a shitty experience in all
SHERRY FTruck interior was dirty. Truck was parked in deep mud. No hand truck inside. Store clerk refused to help. She stated that everything is done online and they don't get involved.

But then it said "this number is already in use" and I couldn't leave it blank. It was extremely frustrating, in the end I just made up a number & that got me past this stage

Grigorios SI never rented the trailer. I had the wrong hitch pin and could not get the right one and canceled the order. I expect a full refund.
Todd DThe location did not check in the truck when I returned it two weeks ago. UHaul has the truck listed as still unreturned. I left the keys on the counter where the owner of the franchise told me to place them. Location also does not allow customers to leave their vehicle at the location overnight, an inconvenience when you are a solo driver. They need to get their act together and treat the rentals as a proper business. Truck was dirty. The owners treat the rentals as an afterthought. No respect for customers. Go to the dealer in Margaretville or Oneonta instead.
KEVIN CWas supposed to pick it up at a different location. Didn't get any paperwork when picked up u haul. No walk around and point out issues with employee to the truck.

Douglas BThe Hamden Filling Station was wonderful. UHAUL WAS THE PROBLEM. Not guaranteeing the customer a same day rental vehicle simply because uhaul might be able to get more money from it as a one way rental is UNACCEPTABLE. When a customer reserves a vehicle that is reported as available when reserved, that customer should be able to count on that vehicle, not be sent 3 towns away for a vehicle twice as big as the one requested. Folks, have a plan "B"!
Paul HVery good drop off location as it has fuel so you can refill the tank right there, as well as great food too.

Nikolas JThere was not a Uhaul person there when I picked up trailer. Gas station attendant took my $ and took a pic of my hookup which I had two guys from gas station help because I had no experience. 1/2 mile later the trailer unhitched itself. Thankfully two other guys from gas station helped me hook up trailer properly.
Gordon RMaybe not change the location 3 time the day before, to an hour outside of your PAYING customer's original pickup zone. Especially when they're paying OVER $1000 for the move.
Noah HI dropped the truck off one day early and because there was no cell service, I couldn't check it in myself. I had to call a U-Haul central number to get the truck returned. The phone service agent (Ms Champion) got it squared away immediately.
CHRISTIAN AReservation was made 7 weeks in advance, and what I reserved was not available, nor was the location of pick up.

JOANELAINE JOverall, the truck was in excellent condition, except for the floor in the cargo area. Someone previous to me had spilled something and eft it there. Casey came out to verify that the stain was there before I drove away. Casey was exceptional, very courteous and professional. I couldn't open the Rental Attachment on my computer. Why??

Nikolas JI had a 9am pickup that I confirmed online two days before I never received a call the night before and my truck wasn't ready until 10am 1 hour late I had folks waiting to move stuff some I hired. 1 hour wasted because of lack of attention to a business that isn't ran from an office in Hamden but from a cell phone. This is the second time I used this location and it will be my last time!!

Daniel BThe truck was full of mud, the windshield wipers were useless with one with the rubber hanging, water or a very diluted cleaner was in the window wash...I was told to pick up in Hamden instead of margaretville...and extra 80 miles in the opposite direction of my trip...when they had trucks in margaretville...worst experience! Oh did I mentioned the a/c was broken on a muggy rainy 90 degree day?
Jean BThe rental originated in Oneonta, NY with Barb who was a delight to work with. She arranged for the trailer to be picked up at the Hamden location. Wanted to pay cash which he wouldn't take charged it to debit card. Barb had quoted us the $632.00 plus taxes Didn't ask if we wanted ins. or not just charged it. We had told Barb we didn't because State Farm said it was covered. Gave us no receipt. The rental equipment was great!

Harold TThis was my drop off location but you charged me for the wrong drop off location and a extra day. The whole process was terrible my first pick up location didn't have the trailer I ordered so I had to go to a different location almost 100 miles apart. Not happy at all.
Derrick FIt was a little confusing for drop off Because there was no person there to process uhaul I was very worried about that. And had to wait on the phone to be sure they knew I dropped off the trailer. The gas station attendant was as helpful as possible and very welcoming and sweet
Abigail CIt was hard to tell how much fuel to resupply and as a result I overfilled. The attendant said that he couldn't help me with that. He also made it clear that they don't allow customers to leave their vehicles there overnight, which I did as I was solo.

Chris SThe truck was semi-buried in snow behind the location. I was left to clean it off myself with an old broom I found among some trash. The inside of the cab had food garbage in it. The back of the truck was full of broken up cardboard furniture boxes that I had to remove myself. The windshield wiper blades were in shreds and falling off. I had to drive this truck for four hours through rain and snow and could barely see through the windshield. This was by far the worst experience I have had with UHaul. I thought this was a company I could trust.

John MMy appointment was for 11:00 am.I had driven over 2 hours to get there. The owner was not there. We waited a 1/2 hour and a no show. A very helpful young lady that had nothing to do with the process tried the whole time to locate him to no avail. I took down the info on the trailer and gave her the plate number and left with a trailer. He first called me around 2:00 pm wanting info. I erased the call. The drop off 2 hours away was simple. I would definitely not recommend this jerk.
