Whoever the guy running the store was extremely rude to me and you could ask my buddy who came with me his tone was rude and he wouldn't stop trying to rush me this was my first time ever renting a Uhaul and I probably never will again if I ever have to associate with someone like that againAustin B.

It took a while to actually pick up the truck because the gentleman helping us was there alone and seemed to be absolutely swamped at the time. He was nice, perhaps a little too talkative, but in general it just really seemed like there needed to be a second person there to either field the calls he was getting or help customers. Also, the next morning there was a flat tire on the truck which was a bit perplexing.Kimberly W.

I called this location two different times to ask questions about my online reservation. I just wanted more info because I'd never rented a uhaul before. Both times, the person who answered gave really short responses and was not friendly at all. In fact, the way he answered me made me feel stupid for asking the questions. He responded matter-of-factly, like I should already know this information. My friends picked up the truck without me, and their customer service experience was similar. Also, someone should probably go check out this location because I wasn't there, but it sounds like it's pretty chaotic.Michael M.
Fix the issue with your rates. I rented a 14' truck overnight (picked it up at 5pm and turned it in by 10 am next day), one-way, less than 100 miles, and it cost me $187.00 That's outrageous! That cost did not include the gas I had to put back in the tank.Bill W.

Truck I picked up was not the cleanest I have rented although it may have been a quick turn around. It smelled like stale cigarettes and there was a used mask left on the floor board of the cab and the cup holders were dirty. Although, I have used this location several times and have never had any issues.Treasea H.

I really would love a refund for the awful service i had. I honestly didn't feel comfortable going back alone. Guy was very belligerent and rude. Argued with me about my credit card. I also received a uhaul with check engine light. I willbe reporting to B(etter) B(usiness) B(ureau).DARON C.
So appreciated the fact that even though I had called a few times as I needed a cargo van on fairly short notice without getting through, this location called me back even though I had not left a message! Couldn't believe it and the woman was most accommodating. I was able to get the van on Tuesday even though I called on Sunday. It was clean, fueled and ready to go.Robyn W.

I don't know what they could have done to make the experience any better. They accommodated my every special need. Even a 24-hour extension. I felt so comfortable with this. The guy was rude and unprofessional when calling out where the keys were. He acted like it was the end of the world that they were locked in the back of the truck, which is exactly where they were when we rented it at a different location. Had a tire that was low when I picked up and had to stop to put air in it then when I returned they where rudeAndrew P.
We asked for a dolly and they didn't put it in the truck, so it took extra time for one of our friends to get one. The older man working was very rude to his employee and myself. I said no to a service that I would pay extra for and he cut me off and had a condescending tone. He also reprimanded his employee in front of me in a very harsh way. If I hadn't been on a time crunch, I would have walked out. I didn't want to give this man my business. We started off a very difficult move with so much negativity due to that man. Treat your employees and customers well, it made things very awkward. Also clean your birds cages.Joshua K.

I initially reserved a trailer at the US 31 and Hanna location in Indianapolis. I got there at 0650 and waited for them to open only to find the trailer apparently had been stolen. I was then sent to a location in Greenwood In. I arrived at 0740 and had to wait for it to open. As I was waiting a young lady came to work and walked in the door, that wasn't an issue as it was still before their time to open. And suddenly a man jerks the door open as I am standing waiting and very rudely tells me " We ain't open" I hadn't ask anything from him nor did I have time to speak to him before he shut the door as quickly as it opened. As soon as the door opened I walked I and was greeted by the young women I saw a few mins earlier. As she was trying to solve my problem this man was walking in and out of the office ranting and raving about how he wasn't legally allowed to drive and John who I assumed was the owner of that location was going to buy him a new pair of F'n glasses. The young lady was done and told me this guy would be helping our back.i go out and Mr. Personality was waiting in front of the trailer to hitch it to my truck. He guided me while I was backing and I got our as he hitched it up. All the while bitching about how another employee and himself had a physical altercation the previous night and how John was going to replace his glasses, both of his wrist were in bandages and he pointed out his neck which was bruised as well. Just rambling and irritated in general which was VERY apparent. He was a very unpleasant person at that time, I was just wanting to get going. When I brought the trailer back I parked it exactly were I took it from and then this same person from that morning comes over and just goes off on how I was able to do that? I tried to explain I have driven trucks for over 40 years and that's why I could do what I did. Now as he begins to unhitch the trailer it did not separate and he announced he was " Going to pop my Cherry" he then jumped into my bumper of MY TRUCK and in doing so broke the license plate frame. As it separated he was telling me how he " Had just Popped my Cherry" over and over. I was thoroughly pissed now and tired from my day on the road. Thinking how unprofessional he was. It may not be a big deal to U-Haul about breaking the license plate frame, but I paid for that NOT U-Haul. This whole incident now has me looking to buy my own trailer so as NOT to be dependent on U-Haul for my trailer needs. And when I need a trailer, I reserved a trailer for 0700 and left with a trailer at 0820... And to that end I will NEVER go to Greenwood U-Haul again and advise others against that location as well. And just an fyi the trailer I rented had clearance lights out on all sides, poorly maintained.Jon R.

Poor customer service. This location was great but I cannot believe that Uhaul would rent a vehicle for a cross country trip without cruise control but have a sticker on the dash saying be green and that the vans they rent have running boards to make it easier to get in and out so we had to buy a step stool so my wife could get in and outCharles W.

The manager at this location was great. He had a good process down and was able to provide me with all information up front. I had no questions left unanswered. He was quick and efficient. This location was excellent in all regards. However, the service provided by the regional call center was the WORST! My reservation was canceled without any notice. Then rescheduled at a time when it could not be picked up, then rescheduled again. Overall, this scheduling fiasco added a lot of unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation.Robert M.

All trucks should be smoke-free. We had to ride with the window down due to the atrong tobacco smoke smell.Eric S.
First off, the attendant did not make sure that the inside of the vehicle was clean. It had cat hair all over the inside and my daughter had to clean it out. It also had used water bottles inside the vehicle. Second we had to have the front passenger side tire changed before we even got it out of my driveway.if the attendant had walked the vehicle with us maybe that would have been noticed before we even got off the lot. Third, the truck drives like a piece of shit. It would downshift often during our drive whether in tow/haul mode or not. It would shake if we went above 50mph. My hands hurt from having to grip the steering wheel to be able to control the truck. Fourth, the blower motor is going out because the air conditioning would go off every time I push on the accelerator. When I let off the accelerator, the air conditioner would kick back on and was cool. We had it on â€œMAX ACâ€ the entire drive, From Indiana to Florida, and my solid stick deodorant melted while resting in a bag in the middle seat. Fifth, due to all of the vehicle complications, the normal 15 hour drive became an over 22 hour drive. I think for the price we were charged for the truck, none of this should have happened!Shawn S.
