I’ve rented trucks from U-Haul many times, but this is the first time I’ve rented using the mobile app. I will not use the mobile app ever again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. It’s a hassle and I had a few issues with it (which were mostly my fault), but all the requirements and info the app needed were too much for me to want to use it again. If it hadn’t been for the assistance of Josh I would have never gotten going. He was amazing and really helped me. Same kudos to the Apple Valley U-Haul rental site. Those guys were also amazing!! As for the location I rented from, it wasn’t really kept up. The front screen door wasn’t latched and would swing open with the wind. Check out the U-Haul rental site in Faribault, MN. It is a good example of what one should look like. Very clean, nice new building and the staff are awesome.

It was quick, easy and just what I needed to get the job done. Location is nice and close to my home and the lady working the desk was helpful and friendly. Will definitely use in the future if needed.

It was a very easy experience to book the truck last minute and pick it up while the office was closed. The online instructions were very easy to follow and very helpful.

I originally scheduled a pickup at Bloomington and was informed there is an available truck at the scheduled time. The day before my pickup I was informed my truck will not be available and was directed to pickup elsewhere. Ok no problem, that happens all the time. I rescheduled pickup at Lakeville. Staff showed up on time but did not exit their vehicle until 10 minutes later after a smoke. When I checked in, I was told to my truck is down the lot at the corner and the key should be in it. I found this odd. I have rented uhaul trucks before and staff will drive the truck up to front entrance and go over a few satefy tips. Instead I walked down the lot looking for the truck. When I found the truck, I could not find the key. I went back to the office and they came down with me to look at the truck. Turns out they hid the key in a small compartment inside the truck. Drove the truck home and when I opened the rear door, the dolly and blankets were not zip-tied inside the truck. This is an extra charge if you use these items. I had to call and inform the staff. The service I received from Lakeville was incredibly poor compared to all my previous uhaul rental locations. I do not recommend this location.

Service was slow. Was there for an hour. Computers were down and trucks were not available to fulfill reservations. I was one of the lucky ones. Several others waiting with me were not so lucky. Overbooking chaos.

Tabitha was extremely helpful in making sure everything was perfect when I picked up my truck. The other lady that was there when I dropped off my truck was short tempered & demanding telling me to "hurry & get it in the gate". She did not have the patience required to show good customer service in my eyes. Sorry I don't have her name. She just said I would get an email with the new charges & that they already had my card # on file.

About the only thing I could add would be have a vehicle closer to the customer's location. This was over 30 miles from me.

I will never rent from uhaul again. Uhaul policies are horrible and calling the day before pick up to tell me that i have go to another location to pickup

I received a call on my moving day requesting me to drop off the truck at a different location. When I opened the U-Haul app to do my return, it still listed the original (Gopher Mini & Outdoor Storage) location, so I returned it there. As a consumer the disconnect between my voicemail from a U-Haul representative and the account on my order was confusing.

We were given a code to get into the storage unit facility but the code did not work. There was no one in the office for another 2 hours so we followed someone in to get the uhaul we reserved. You use the same code to get out which of course didn't work again so we had to wait until someone was leaving to get out. We didn't really like the app as well, the process was long, if we had dealt with people we wouldn't have had the issues we had.

When we arrived, the 26 ft truck we were supposed to rent was unavailable because the keys had been locked inside the truck from the previous person. This caused us so much extra time and frustration because we then had to figure out a solution. We ended up having to rent two smaller trucks which also meant two drivers. I did not have a good experience.

We scheduled our pick up for 8am in a different city. The night before our move, we received an email changing the location to Lakeville. When we arrived, the office was closed. At 8:45, an employee arrived. She was incredibly rude and refused to assist us until they opened right at 9. When we went in to see her in the office at 8:55 she said "I still have 10 minutes before I will help you." Totally unprofessional. And we were given a truck with less than a quarter tank of gas left in it.

Have people and equipment ready and on time arrived at 9:05 employee was just getting there and needed 5 minutes to get ready finally got checked in go out to truck front and back of truck we're not cleaned out and was given a broom to sweep out while she was getting blankets we ordered definitely would not go to or recommend Lakeville mn location

Our overall experience was more than a headache. We were guaranteed a truck and a storage locker when we arrived to the date there was no truck and no Locker. Finally got the truck situated and went to the other location for our locker. We've done spent another hour arguing with management because they triple booked our unit.

This is nothing against the employee who checked me in as she was very, very busy. I am disappointed in the lack of help this location provided to unhook at park your trailer. I had to unhook and park it all myself and took many many minutes to do. Very disappointed with again the lack of physical assistance, this is nothing against the young lady at the office!

Spent half an hour getting truck out of snow bank at the pick up site. No employees offered any help. Warning lights went on during use.

The trailer had a 6" stub of a electrical connection that was three feet back on the tongue. I needed to go buy an extension to connect to the trailer at all. Disappointed. Cost additional money and time. Otherwise, went well. Thanks

trailer was full of leaves< I got no help hooking it up or checking my lights, i was told there was a ramp to roll a fridge on, there was not, it was more expensive than the same trailer last time

When we picked up the truck, the low coolant light came on. When the attendant was told she said, “I don’t know what to do”. We asked her to make a note of it. I made the reservation online and when I went to return it, the email gave directions on what to do if we were returning the truck after hours but nothing on what to do if we were returning it during business hours. Kind of confusing but overall the experience was good.

I reserved the truck and an appliance cart the day prior. When I showed up to pick them up I was told that they did not have appliance carts. Why would I be able to reserve one online if they are not available? The person helping me tried to remove the cart from my reservation but was unable to. She had to call U-Haul to have it removed. The whole process took about 1/2 hour that I did not have to waste. When I got in the truck the windshield was so full of bug splatters that I had to stop and wash it so I could even see out properly. Overall the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be using U-Haul in the future.

Pick-Up location was very space limited and had to compete with storage unit tenants for driving / parking space. I put WD-40 on the trailer ramp and it is now operating smooth.

It should be clearer on the website to rent U-Haul equipment which are dealers and which are service centers. We were not happy we had to manually lift a 6x12 trailer onto our trucks hitch by ourselves and then unhook it manually as well. The staff was professional but next time we will drive further for better service.

On a previous visit we had great difficulty with the electronic key pad entering and exiting the facility after hours. We entered the correct code multiple times before the gate opened.

I was quoted a rental rate of $29.95 for the truck, with additional $10/dolly and $5/6 pack of towels. I expected the bill to be about $70, which is what was quoted on my rental agreement. We had he truck for 2 hours, returned all equipment and went less than 10 miles total. They charged my credit card $293.56! I called the customer service line and was told that a manager should be in contact within 3 days. WOW. I am not impressed!
