Never again. I already had The truck I requested released to someone else two days prior to pickup when I called to make sure everything was available and determine how we could get the keys at 8 AM. At one point I was told while booking the truck I had to go to two different locations in St.Thomas then to another town in London, then the reservation was cancelled by a different location before getting the truck at this Motel which was very difficult to communicate with to drop it off, although the truck was clean. I wasn't able to access my account online and actually see my reservation I had to call a number and have somebody set it up over the phone when I picked up the truck. I was told with this location I would be able to drop the truck off before 9 o'clock I showed up at eight and a woman answered the motel entrance (not the store entrance) as the convene store was locked even though the sign said open and they said they no longer accept uhaul past 6pm. The website I had text message to me (when I got access to the truck to return the truck) using your 24/7 access was not loading. I tried calling your after hours number and was placed on hold for almost an hour. Loading your website to return the truck took almost 45 minutes for me to get the image, the mileage and the gas posted. That was using phone data and wifi. Several technical issues but my phone was running other websites with no issues. The woman who answered the motel door told me just to leave the keys in the dropbox and somebody will call me to have it all returned tomorrow, However your website said there be an extra charge if somebody did that the next day for me and I didn't believe I would not be charged us fee. In addition, I was told after by my wife waiting for me somebody kept opening up the motel door and apparently yelling at me put in a hat and grabbed some object before attempting to match out to me in a threatening manner before randomly turning around and walking back into the room while I was in the truck taking pictures of the mileage and trying to load the website. I will never recommend uhaul to anyone. Very time I use your service and my family does as we have been involved your company with 4 moves in the last 4 months it has been a bad experience. I am NOT HAPPY with the service and I intent to share this in social media with all my affiliated nursing and community groups as my response when I had concerns was â€œ this is the way it's been done since world war one.â€œ not acceptable!Adam M.

Owners would not come out of the store to look over the truck prior to me taking it. The emergency brake would not turn off on the truck, I went in twice and asked him to come look at it, he would not and just kept saying keep putting it on and off and it will go off. I was told truck had 1/4 of gas, it did not. Drove the truck 17km, put $20.00 gas in it and returned truck. Again they would not come out to double check the gas, mileage, condition etc. The next day I get a phone call from the very rude man accusing me of not putting any gas in, I explained I did and have the receipt as well. He said too bad you didn't we will be charging your credit card for it. Charged my credit card an additional $50.00 for a total of $97.00. I told him I would be calling head office and he hung up. DO NOT deal with this location, they will rip you off as I can see now they have with others.Amanda B.

Though the U-Haul hours listed were 9am-9pm, the office was closed; however, the adjoining motel had a bell for the manager, but not for rentals (though I rang, anyway, to confirm whether I needed to provide him with the final mileage). He asked that I back-up the truck on the property after having already parked it and drop the key in the slot.Todd S.

The truck wasn't too dirty but did have a light layer of loose debris in the back. The blankets were clean and cheap to rent and kep the furniture from contact with the dirt in the box. Service was great. I drove away within 10 minutes of arriving at the location.Andrew G.

Pick up was great. However was told over phone I would have the truck two days. Got a message saying truck had to be back in 24 hours which was before my moving day and was unable to keep truck for full two day's. instead was told when I called that I could keep the truck till 8am next day at no charge since I could not use for two full days. But was still charged an extra day. Was also told I could drop truck off close to new home. But has to drive 30 minutes out of my wayDavid L.

The man was cleaning his motel and the door to office was locked. He must've heard me trying to get in. He came out of a room told me to put key in drop box. Nothing else. I asked about the payment and drop off confirmation and he told me I'd get an email. Not very helpful at all. I'm a first time pick up drop off 2 different locations and first time renting a vehicle. We have only rented a trailer one other time pick up and drop off same location.June T.

Suggest to help / guide customer to drive and leave the parking lot where all rental vans are parked very very close to each other. I had a minor incident yesterday when drove the rented van in the parking lot by hit and broke another vans mirror. I was lucky that the manager kindly waived the repair charge. Guy freaked out about the parking and very rude..I didn't pass a gas station on way there but noticed you guys charged me almost 60.00 for gas even though tank was over 1/4... Did I mention I didn't get 12 furniture pads that I paid for...No reimbursement for that...Thanks for nothing...Never again...Totally disappointedBrian C.

The trailer gate was very hard to open. It made things very difficult to load and unload The trailer drove very rough extremely noisy and didnt take small bumps well. As for the owners they rushed me to have the trailer back in 4 hours when I paid 6 hours they text and called me asking where I was. There debit machine didnt work and they said I had no other way to pay other then credit. They took pictures of our credit card and vehicle with out a reason. Over all the experience was very lousy. The trailer was not maintained and it was dangerous to drive! Unfortunately I will not use this location again.Robert C.

The agents at this site did not come out of the office either on pick up or return of the vehicle. No one was available on the return to rwview the kilometers or the fuel tank level.Even though the gauge was higher on return than on pick up I was charged and extra $8.63 for fuel. Remember no one checked this with me and I did refuel the vehicle to ensure there would be no issues on return. I have now made 2 phone calls to the site to complain. On the first call I was told I would receive a call back (no call) and on the second call the agent hung up on me after saying it was not his issue but rather I needed to deal directly with U-Haul. It was the local agent who marked the fuel gauge level in at the wrong level, not head office. I am now waiting for a call back and a refund of the $8.63. The vehicle on pick up had mud on the drivers side floor and the outside of the vehicle was also some what dirty. Not what I would expect. Not having someone AVAILABLE TO CHECK THE VEHICLE OVER ON EITHER END OF THE RENTAL IS ALSO NOT WHAT I WOULD EXPECT. AND THEN TO HAVE AN EXTRA CHARGE ADDED TO THE CREDIT CARD WITH NO OPPORTUNITY TO QUESTION IT IS REASON ENOUGH TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THE NEXT TIME i NEED A RENTAL AND ALSO TO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARTICULAR AGENCY OFFICE.Barry B.

I usually rent from this location. However was not happy that the truck was on 1/4 full when I picked it up and needed to put gas in it before I got started. Mind you I could bring it back at 1/4 full. Just does not seem fair for the next person renting. The last time I rented from a different location it was the same thing. And I needed to put 70 dollars in gas in before the truck even moved too far.Darryl D.

Vehicle had no annual inspection sticker and I was unable to complete my driver's test. Worst experience of my entire life, I'll be going to discount from now on. The owner of this location is fantastic. Always polite and courteous. He usually has a variety of u-haul trucks and trailers, it's just sometimes hit and miss in the summer on season which I don't blame him so u-haul should try to keep him well stocked. One thing that I'd like to mention is this. The terminals that these dealers use must be ages old. They are slow, and should be upgraded to make customers rentals lightning fast. It's almost 2020 and your terminals act like there running on dial-upStiven O.
